i have a question to ask, lets say there people living in areas of the world that there is daylight for months and night for months, how do they fast and when do they break it

Interestingly though at this point in time , I agree with his revolutionary Schorching red moon theory, but minus his recommendation of breaking fast at sun set. Which I expect of him to amend, as we have stumbled upon some new evidence from the great reading in favour of layal not starting at sun set (Ghoroub/ Daluk ul shams)

- The full moon of scorching heat is when the reading was descended as a guidance for people and clarifications from the guidance and the criterion, so whomever witnesses the full-moon, let him abstain it. And whomever was sick or traveling so a count of other days. The God wants to facilitate and not make it hard on you. And so complete the count and magnify The God for what He guided you and perhaps you would be thankful.
I have highlighted in bold the relevant part to the question. If one is able to witness it, you then comply by swm/abstaining/fasting.
Thus, the only question you have to ask yourself is in the areas where it is daylight or night for months is it possible to witness such an event?
If you answer no, then you do not swm/abstain in that period and are given options in 2184. Simple.

Ayman's article may make a case for you and a few others, but many of us who have given solid references from the Qur'an do not take his understanding of "shahr" meaning "full-moon" therefore please, do make it clear as a moderator that its not a unanymous understanding.

I personally have not reviewed Ayman's article I referred to, however the validity of the article was not the question, and the point I highlighted works just as well if you believe it means "month" as far as I'm aware.

Secondly just because there is no a rebuttal article does not means that Ayman?s version is acceptable to all on this forum. This subject was discussed in detail in the thread "Hot/"ramadan" Answer" refuting Aymans version.
Finally the new design of this website appear to sanction Ayman's vesion of Islam by saying In Islam, a Year is a luni-solar count made of 365-days (1712, 936), with all the seasons fitting-in-place Vs. Sunnis teaching it to be a lunar one based on 354 days which creates confusion of seasons and time?
This is clearly not the unbiased approach on this forum.

Still confusing. Recently chatted with a fellow muslim (sunni). This conversation was during celebration of Eid. Well, he said fasting starts at time of first prayer (fajr) and ends after maghrib. Now the problem is, Fajr started at 525 am, and Maghrib would occur at 432 pm. Yet sunrise occurred at 705 am and sunset started at 432 pm. Here we have two seemingly different times for the start, yet same times for the ending of the fast. What gives?

The person whom you spoke with does not follow The Quranic timing, but follows traditional timing. That is why you get the difference you have observed.
The Quran is very clear that swm/abstinence begins at morning twilight.
Whenever in such a discssion, simply ask for a reference, i.e. what they are basing their view on. Things are much clearer then.
