    Salaam Belalhammad,

My personal view is that its men as "alinsanu" were given the job of confronting and delivering God's word which means that its just men who would be questioned why they failded to do the duty entrusted to them, so men should not boast about it but think carefully what they have agreed
3372 We did indeed offer the Trust to the Heavens and the Earth and the MOUNTAINs; but they refused to undertake it, being afraid thereof but man undertook it;- He was indeed unjust and foolish;-
    peace

    Salam Farida

Fear in Men is commont; even prophets were affraied

    (&#65279 (&#65279
They (Moses and Aaron) said "Our Lord! we fear lest He hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." (45) He said "Fear not for I am with you I hear and see (everything). (20-46)

Fear is what God test us with
    (&#65279
Be sure We shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods, lives and the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere. (2-155)

God Knows that believers can experiance Fear

    (&#65279
Allah has promised, to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds, that He will of a surety, grant them in the land, inheritance (of power), as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion the one which He has chosen for them; and that He will change (their state), after the fear in which they (lived), to one of security and peace `They will worship Me (alone) and not associate aught with Me.' If any do reject faith after this, they are rebellious and wicked. (24-55)

I agree with you that Male believers should confront the wrong teachings of religions, but in the same time, they can experiace fear when doing so.
    Peace

The messenger delivered their message fearlessly, honestly and sincerely but the modern Muslim men have no idea what is that trust. I often I say to many men who boast about the authority given to them that it is not the authority but huge responsibility they have. hmm

First, prophets delievered the Message while, some of them, experiancing Fear. I agree with you that Men should know that they have a huge responsibility (more than Women, children) in front of God.

          Salaam Belalhammad,
Which Muslim men are you talking about? Do you really see many who are men enough or Muslim enough to fall in this category?
Just five persons contributed to the thread about the plight of a Muslim woman unjustly held in US prison,
It does not matter if the woman is a sunni or not; she is a Muslim and it is the duty of Rajal/foot of authority (men) to do something for her but never mind about doing something, even on the thread below not much interest was generated by the ones who consider themselves "qawm" of women.

Whereas last week Edip was arrested and many swiftly reacted to that news even though he is just a political prisoner and has in no way suffered like Dr Aafia Siddiqui. This shows the sad state of the s.c. "qawwamoon". '(

Non of the females you mentioned above were given Messages from God (Book) to deliver to here people.

Any body who convay God's Messages (existed ones) to the People are considered "Shohadaa" .

Please note the different ranks of the Choosen People (4-69)

            (&#65279

Females, according to God, were never given a Book, as Moses, Abraham, Jesus, and Mohamed. And the reason is, as I stated before, due to the difficulties of such a mission.
            If a Female choose to confront and deliver God's Words (exited books), then She will be rewarded by God; can you call her a Messanger of God because she is delivering God's Message? I do not know;
but as I said before, in a different thread, We can not disobey God's Messangers, and therefore, People will follow Messangers of God without questioning. And for this reason, I will not call them the messangers of God.

            Peace

            Assalaam Alaikum

The Quran is NOT a 'history' or philosophy book....

Its admonition and guidance for all humanity.....

Your patriarchal interpretation of the Quran is irrelevant.

Maryam, as was given the kalam of Allah and Allah states her 'model' is an 'example' for all humanity.

Secondly, Saba / Sheba was given the kitab from Sulaiman,as and conveyed that guidance to her people, and as such Allah blessed them.

Allah chooses messengers from angels and from human beings / an-nasi for Allah is He Who hears and sees (all things).

            Read Your Quran!!!

I hope Dr Aafia Siddiqui who is currently held in the USA prison would recieve Justice more than any place in the World I am waiting to see it happen.

I hope you will take time to read about her plight, you can read all about her in the link I have given, then share with us what you think is the duty of Rijal/men in such situation since they are the one who are Qwan over women which should include all women. &

                              Salaam Belalhammad,

Yes brother I am sure this woman did not commit the crimes that she is being accused of. Once her father too had faith in the US system, which is why she was sent abroad to study, but they had no idea how awful ?civilized? countries could be. You can read her story on the link below
                              http//www.bostonmagazine.com/articles/whos_afraid_of_aafia_siddiqui/.

After I read the thread, I could not find any thing to prove her innocence.

I am truly saddened by your response; are you proposing that a highly educated woman, the mother of three, the youngest of which was but a few months old, was involved in terrorist activities? I can?t believe you concluded that she is guilty simply after reading the thread.. Where did you see her guilt when she has not been even tried in a court of law. Nothing has been proven and what about her children? Two are missing so far, and her girl; did you stop to think where that little girl is now? After all you are supposed to be of the qawamoon.

I still see that the Women is more safe in the US than any other Moslem Country (she is a very well educated American who know the Aemrican system very well); the only thing we can do for her is to ask God to set her free if she is not Guilty.

You seem to be off point. The relevance of the ayahs is that Saba / Sheba was blessed by Allah, swt PRIOR to the 'bird'....

Thus have We sent down Clear Signs; and verily Allah guides whom Allah wills!

Those who believe (in the Qur'an), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Sabians, Christians, Magians, and Polytheists,- Allah will judge between them on the Day of Judgment. for Allah is witness of all things.

Which is confirmed in the following.....

There was, for Saba, aforetime, a Sign in their home-land - two Gardens / Jannatani to the right and to the left. "Eat of the Sustenance (provided) by your Lord, and be grateful to Him. a territory fair and happy, and a Lord Oft-Forgiving!

Between them and the Cities on which We had poured our blessings / jaAAalna baynahum wa bayna al-qura allatee barakna , We had placed Cities in prominent positions, and between them We had appointed stages of journey in due proportion. "Travel therein, secure, by night and by day."

But they said. "Our Lord! Place longer distances between our journey-stages". but they wronged themselves (therein). At length We made them as a Hadeeth (that is told), and We dispersed them all in scattered fragments. Verily in this are Signs for every (soul that is) patiently constant and grateful.

                                    Salaam Belalhammad,

Yes brother I am sure this woman did not commit the crimes that she is being accused of. Once her father too had faith in the US system, which is why she was sent abroad to study, but they had no idea how awful ?civilized? countries could be. You can read her story on the link below
http//www.bostonmagazine.com/articles/whos_afraid_of_aafia_siddiqui/.I am truly saddened by your response; are you proposing that a highly educated woman, the mother of three, the youngest of which was but a few months old, was involved in terrorist activities? I can?t believe you concluded that she is guilty simply after reading the thread.. Where did you see her guilt when she has not been even tried in a court of law. Nothing has been proven and what about her children? Two are missing so far, and her girl; did you stop to think where that little girl is now? After all you are supposed to be of the qawamoon. In this day and age a Muslim woman, never mind Muslim, a woman is suffering humiliation and all we can do is pray...well since it?s the Rijal who are the Qawmoon I guess they should pray then and duty done, whilst Pakistani and American women are the prominent ones campaigning about her plight ... how lame are today?s Rijal.

The statement that Saba / Sheba is worshiping the Sun and Shaitan is making alluring her blessings is a 'hearsay' statement from the 'Bird' NOT from Allah, swt

If you read in the initial ayahs leading up to Saba and Sulaiman's meeting, you will find Sulaiman's mistrust of the 'Bird'

And he took a muster of the Birds; and he said. "Why is it I see not the Hoopoe? Or is he among the absentees?

"I will certainly punish him with a severe penalty, or execute him, unless he bring me a clear reason (for absence)."

Sulaiman's motivation is to determine whether the 'Bird' is lying upon the character of Saba

(Solomon) said. "Soon shall we see whether you have told the truth or lied!

Obviously, the 'Bird' has trust 'issues' with Sulaiman, as hearsay is NOT admissible as evidence and slandering is mentioned in the Quran as a grievous sin.

Thus I dont know why your so 'stuck' on what the 'Bird' stated. Sulaiman,as mistrusted the 'Bird', so why should you trust the statement of the 'Bird'?

When ultimately Saba accepted Sulaiman's invitation to guidance WITHOUT Sulaiman's intervention!

And so, as soon as she arrived, she was asked ?Is thy throne like this?? She answered ?It is as though it were the same!? And Solomon said to his nobles ?She has arrived at the truth without any help from us, although it is we who have been given knowledge before her, and have surrendered ourselves unto Allah!

And he diverted her from the worship of others besides Allah. She had descended from a people who rejected and denied the truth.

Wasaddaha ma kanat taAAbudu min dooni Allahi innaha kanat min qawmin kafireena

The highlighted references above denote past tense references.

                                          1. Allah, swt guided Saba to the truth and blessed her people, obviously PRIOR to meeting Sulaiman,as (past tense)
                                          2. She descended from a people who, at some point in the past rejected and covered the truth

Even the Messenger of Allah's people rejected the guidance. Allah, swt still blessed the Messenger and his people!

                                          Example

And the Messenger will say, ?O my Lord! Surely, my people / inna qawmee took this AL-QURAN and abandoned it.

(Allah has knowledge) of the (Messenger?s) cry, "O my Lord! Truly these are people who will not believe!"

Whatever good, happens to you, is from Allah

The 'Bird' was truthful regarding Saba's 'blessings'

"I found (there) a WOMAN RULING OVER THEM and provided with every requisite; and she has a magnificent throne.

There was, for Saba, aforetime, a Sign in their home-land - two Gardens to the right and to the left. "Eat of the Sustenance (provided) by your Lord, and be grateful to Him. a territory fair and happy, and a Lord Oft-Forgiving!

                                          Allah,swt guided Saba NOT shaitan

NO SOUL CAN BELIEVE, EXCEPT BY THE WILL OF ALLAH, and He will place doubt (or obscurity) on those who will not understand.

An-Naml 27.44] ... She said. "O my Lord! I have indeed wronged my soul. I do (now) submit (in Islam), with Solomon, to the Lord of the Worlds."

                                          Read Your Quran

By the way pasting in 24 font size text is NOT required.
