Here I go again
-
I don't know if you guys remember me, but I came here a few months ago saying that I was struggling with Islam. Then a few months later, I mentioned that I talked to a Sheikh who helped me and I started praying again. Well the problem is I'm back where I started. I stopped praying again. I find myself once again torn between Christianity or just not believing in a religion at all. I always think of my relatives who died and wonder what happened to them? Sometimes I feel that I want to die just to find out what exactly is the truth? I'm just so bloody curious!
I don't know what to doPeace,
Respectfully. My thought on this is this read The Bible, read The Quran, compare, talk to priests as well as imams and then go home and use your own logic.
You have to use your own judgment, afterall, you are making your decisions and not Bible, Quran, priests, imams or this forum. What does the oracle tell Neo at the first meeting?
Glory be to our God,
Glory be to our God.
God bless you.

"not all of them are the same."
certainly not all who call themselves christians do not believe in the quran. they may be born to the situation they are in right now, but they do believe in God & all that He has enjoined us to believe which includes the quran. it may take some time but who knows these brothers among the so called christian faith will emerge to make themselves known.
Of course God knows best. if i may quote
3113 They are not all the same, from the people of the book are an upright nation; they recite God's signs during parts of the night and they prostrate.
and from 7431 RT "........None knows your Lord's soldiers except Him. It is but a reminder for people."
jedi peace. ramon O0

salam sister
Religion concerns only U and ur creator..God created U to adore HIM only..so U dont have to bother about people. As long as u have a true conscious for yourself..
You have to keep on researching sister..Dont give up looking for truth..
And there is something called patience..
U have to keep on looking for perfection in what u think is right..who knows,,maybe 1 day U shall find that Islam is indeed perfect, bearing in mind that Muslims are not, unfortunately
All the best sister

Hi,
I'm really glad I found someone from Egypt here. I think since you live there you probably saw what happened to the country when it became "religous." People became mean, rude and intolerant. How can a country that has one of the oldest civilizations, and the most beautiful culture with the third movie production in the world go down like that? How can the country that has for decades been producing some of the best movies, music, literature brand all of these things as "haram." What's going on here? Why is all this happening?
I have to say one of the things that are really turning me off Islam is how people are becoming so bloody judgemental. You don't see Christians or Jews or Buddhists or in fact people of any religion behave like that. Last year I was interviewing a convert to Islam (I'm a journalist) and half way through the interview he said, "you know some people like to be middle muslims like you so that they can be accepted by the West." Now why did this guy call me a "Middle Muslim"? Because I'm not veiled. This is by the way a very small example. Muslims are becoming so bloody judgemental, always telling each other that they are not practicing the way they should. Which other religions do that? None.
Hi
i am also glad i found someone from egypt here handshakeYes indeed i am seeing what happen to the country and ppl, and it is devestating and frustrating, but that is not cos of religion, it is mainly cos of the system , ther is nothing called system in this country, every one is acting the way he like, no strict laws to follow so corrupption is every where, and for sure it is partially cos of religion BUT not God Religion, ppl in egypt are sunni , they r following man-made religion > which tell them whatever they do they r going to heaven.
yes egypt used to be a nice country, but that was before the militry revolution when the curve started decline.
Sill movies, music and song are largely produced in the country, it is not forbidden, and if anyone say it is haram, it is not from the quraan , it is from the traditional man -made books, who cares about these books ignore
we dont see christians and jews behave like that????!!! and what about the world war 1 and world war 2 and the holoucost and massacres in bosnia and kosovo, and burying ppl alive and the death and tortures of millions, was it initiated by muslims??? they were christians who did that horrible stuffs.
Islam has has nothing to do with all of that , it is a religion of peace and good deeds, if u want to know real islam u will find it in God book al-quraan.
Dont care about ppl or how they behave, you have ur own mind, you have ur own deeds.peace

peace,
Where did 'confused' say he/she had read and studied the Quran then rejected it? Nowhere.
Peace
So I take it that you agree that it would be a great Sin to reject the Quran after reading and studying it. Confused is a Moslem who has been praying for a while, as the post shows.
Peace -
Peace Wakas
Think you for your reply; I still think rejecting the Quran after reading and studying it is a great sin. do you agree?Peace
I got your point earlier, and I do agree with you on this one. no matter what label you attach to your faith you are commanded by God to believe in the final testament.
the question is, however, what if you did not have the chance to "meet & greet" the great reading? would you be accountable for it?

voodooI do agree brother...but God said some of them are not. Therefore, we can't generalize, can we?
peace. i find the flowers beautiful. in one of the posts you mention about you "the only desert rose (am not sure)". what/where desert are you in right now.

just had a realization after posting the one above. if God commanded us to believe in the quran, He will according to His Laws allow each of one us to, one way or the other, get to "meet & greet" the great reading.
may God increase our knowledge.
God bless everyone.

Salaam,
I agree completely. Only the truly repressed will have an excuse on the day of judgment.497 Those whose lives are terminated by the angels, while they had wronged their souls; they said ?What situation were you in??, they said ?We were oppressed on Earth.? They said ?Was God?s Earth not wide enough that you could emigrate in it?? To these their abode will be Hell; what a miserable destiny!
498 Except for those who were oppressed from the men, women, and children who could not devise a plan nor could be guided to a way. -

I find myself once again torn between Christianity or just not believing in a religion at all.
Don't be a member of any religion/sects at all.
Keep an open mind to get wisdom from religion or unreligion sources..Ask sincerely to God for guidance...
He will send His revelation to you, with or without the Quran...Here's a quote from one infamous non-religious guy..
"When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad. That's my religion."
-- Abraham LincolnI always think of my relatives who died and wonder what happened to them?
They're now in a state of deep sleep...
Just like you were before being born to this world..Sometimes I feel that I want to die just to find out what exactly is the truth? I'm just so bloody curious!
I don't know what to doBe careful curiosity could kill you..
Not all knowledge is useful..
And you don't need to know the whole truth in order to live a good life.. -
peace,

Peace"Praying for a while" has nothing to do with reading and studying The Quran. Millions of Muslims pray regularly yet have never read The Quran. Thus, one cannot say "confused" read and studied The Quran and rejected it, hence my reply.
If you are asking as a theoretical then I would say it depends on what elements one rejected of The Quran. Rejecting any of the core message, e.g. monotheism, doing good deeds, being charitable etc would be a very bad thing, but if one rejected things like they do not agree with 100 lashes for adultery, then this is not as big.
To everyone
I strongly recommend reading the following article, which I consider to be one of the fundamental concepts of The Quran

Wakas, Rejecting is different from practicing; if I would run away from getting 100 lashes is not as saying "I do not believe that 100 lashes is fair, and thus, I reject"
The first is a fear of punishment and the second is disbelieving, as Saten did when rejecting God's order. Moreover, in the first I will ask for God's forgiveness and in the second I will not.To everyone

http//www.free-minds.org/node/10Wakas; we had a discussion, you and I, regarding this artical in the following thread
http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=16735.msg167327#msg167327
I still think this artical is discounting many of God's clear laws.
