Abortion and IVF

You said ?but perhaps killing a zygote that's conceived outside a woman's body isn't murder?
Why would someone plan on killing a zygote? Isn?t the purpose of IVF pregnancy?
This was actually the core of a legal battle between a couple who divorced and the husband did not want the child /then a zygot, carrying his sperms.
The question is does this make the "morning pill" prohibited? Can we consider a zygot, in a womb or in a lab, a "child"? -

Because it's really hard to impregnate women using IVF, doctors create several embryos and after one has been implanted successfully, the rest are rejected.

The question is does this make the "morning pill" prohibited? Can we consider a zygot, in a womb or in a lab, a "child"?The morning after pill prevents ovulation or fertilization. There's only a small chance that it prevents implantation so it's likely that taking the morning after pill isn't murder.
There's lots of talk about embryos not being persons, but who gets to decide who a person is and who isn't? Does the absence of consciousness make a human a non-person? What exactly is consciousness? It's a fact that humans aren't the only conscious animals; many animals exhibit signs of consciousness. I think the main thing that distinguishes humans from other organisms is inspiration (ruh) and not consciousness. Embryos certainly possess inspiration if part of inspiration is morality because morality is coded in our genes.

Go to the subtitle "abortion" of that article.

You're asking me!? I'm the one with the questions P
I guess 6151 applies in the scenario you posed. Killing an unborn human to save the life of the woman they depend on seems just to me.
I am asking you because you are wmpted that abortion at any stage is murder. I want to point out if you believe abortion can be justified in absolute cases, murder of an innocent person is not. Maybe this will make us think of a zygot as not a person.

What about fetuses? A pregnant woman's life can become endangered if she's 5, 6 or 7 months pregnant. Would it be okay for her to have an abortion then?

The verses you've quoted don't really support your opinion. If we pretend like they do, then even dust and sperms must be considered humans (dust and the "tiny drop" are spoken of as things that're outside a woman's womb). The verse I quoted talks about fertilization.
Hmmm you're right. It speaks of the physical creation of the human body but not the soul.
Anyone know anything about when the body is given a soul? -
Is it possible that there's something radically different about an embryos that's conceived inside a woman's body and an embryo that's conceived outside a woman's body? The great reading tells us that humans are created inside their mothers so we must assume that a human being is created right after an egg is fertilized inside a woman or right after an embryo is placed inside a woman, but for that to make sense, there'd have to be differences between embryos that are conceived inside women and embryos that are conceived outside women.
-
Then may God have mercy on their souls poor zygot/fetus!
Isn't there a way to avoid killing a person to save another person's life? Why should the woman be allowed to live instead of the unborn kid? I'm not saying women who need to have their pregnancies terminated should be killed. All I want to know is why their lives should be considered more valuable.

396 ... He creates you in the wombs of your mothers ...
Perhaps there's something special about embryos that're conceived inside women.
Peace
Quran is talking in general terms, not in literal terms.
Not every one is created in their mother's womb.
Surrogacy is an example where a person is created totally outside original mothers womb. (unless according to Quran female providing donor the egg is not the original mother, instead the female carrying the embryo to completed is).

Indeed, as per the quran, the mother of a child is the woman who gave birth to it
582 Those among you who estrange their wives by saying to them ?You are as my mother.? They can never be as their mothers, for their mothers are the women who gave birth to them. Indeed, they are uttering what is strange and a falsehood. And God is Pardoner, Forgiver.
I think this verse gives a woman who gave birth to a child legal claim over that child even if that child was made from another woman's egg.
