A Question About Jinns
-
But people will always think that traditional Islam is islam
That shows their narrow-mindedness! brickwall

Yes, i believe that they should critisize traditional islam, like female circumsization
Female circumcision not a part of Islam. It's a tradition that is vile and unecessary and has nothing to do with Islam. This practice is very common in East Africa in predominantly Sunni countries such as Sudan and Somalia; it is a sick and morbid procedure.
Here's an interesting "chart" of where female circumcision is practiced in Africa

You are kidding me!!!!!! o How could she?
i'm male and circumsized!
-
You are kidding me!!!!!! How could she? I hope you said NO!
I'd just read Waris Dirie's Desert Flower so of course I said no. I think she said it out of jest cos I was remarking that he was getting tons of money for all the pain. She was circumcised 'a little' as a baby and didn't think it was a huge deal.
-
I hope you were younger that 8, would be painful at that age.
I was circumsized when I was 7 years old! muscle

If she was a baby, she wouldn't remember. I have read about the "full" circumcision of women. It is barbaric, outdated, and pagan.

yes it is! brickwall

Definitely... another strike to the Sunnis, the prophet Muhammad apparently said in a hadith that cutting off 'a little' is okay nope
From what I have been told (I may be wrong) the prophet did not say anything in a hadith, they were made up after his death.
-
Well, hadiths are full of doo-doo anyway but for the sake of ah research
"When you circumcise then do not cut severely, since that is better for her and more pleasing to the husband." (Reported by Abu Dawud and Al-Baihaqee and declared Hasan by Shaikh Al-Albani)
Also, one of those ask-an-imam sort of sites http//www.islamonline.net/servlet/Satellite?pagename=IslamOnline-English-Ask_Scholar/FatwaE/FatwaE&cid=1119503543886
Seriously, wtf.

bravo
He wasn't allowed to either from what I understand from these verses...
Had he uttered any other teachings - We would have punished him - We would have stopped the revelations to him (644-46)

Of course, you can show evidence like this to the Sunnis and Shi'ites but most of them won't listen.

I am quite sure that no one who believes that God is love would condone the mutilation of women (or men for that matter)
