The meaning of the word وَيُقيمونَ

Then why have you put Aleph when you said "the root is " Aleph is nowhere the part of Root being a letter but not consonant, despite being Arab you are taking hamza and aleph as same like majority of us living in sub continent or Persia. You seem to have been persianized because of Bukhari and company. Excuse me.
hahahaha , nothing like that .
look you have to tell me what you're referring to by "root" ? it can take many meaning . if you did mean by the word"root" the source , it's fine but for one condition is to add "" in the end of the word, because the source typically always "" like that " " >>" " not " " .

I meant nothing. Dear when you write like this "the root is " it means only one thing which you and me perceive identically. Placing of aleph at end for accusative case is different story.

" " is the root(origin) of the word " " .
" " is the source "" the origin of the derivations.
what you stated is wrong .
the end .

From lack of follow up, shall I understand that you have understood the word construction or else you are still working on it?
My apologies... still struggling to understand!
- (p. 1-A) ?The reader will find some root words with more than one form through the changes in vowel signs (Fatha, Kasrah or Dzammah) between the consonants as Badana and Baduna or Bad?a and Badawa
I suspect there is a typo on p. 1-A I believe that Bada?a is incorrect and should be Bada?a . I believe that the correct sentence is
(p. 1-A corrected) ?The reader will find some root words with more than one form through the changes in vowel signs (Fatha, Kasrah or Dzammah) between the consonants as Badana and Baduna or Bada?a and Badawa ?.
I would appreciate any comments on this.
I still find Omar's explanation lacking when he says ?The reader will find some root words with more than one form through the changes in vowel signs (Fatha, Kasrah or Dzammah) between the consonants? since I do not believe that the difference between Bada?a and Badawa is a result of ?changes in vowel signs (Fatha, Kasrah or Dzammah) between the consonants?. I find the difference between and to be a change in one of the root letters ( vs. I understand that these are vowels, but I do not believe they are "vowel signs" and they are certainly not "Fatha, Kasrah or Dzammah".
And interestingly, this touches upon one of the themes within this thread
Here is a root that Omar has chosen to represent as TWO roots the heading for this "root" shows "Bada?a /Badawa " in BOLD on p. 45. As previously stated, I believe that Omar denotes the ?basic ?root word?? in large bold font in the heading of each root word.
So this appears to me to be an inconsistency
Omar "classifies" under the ?basic ?root word?? Q?ma .But then instead of selecting one form as he did with Q?ma , he selects BOTH FORMS Bada?a /Badawa as the ?basic ?root word??.
Can anyone that knows Arabic and Arabic grammar please comment on this do you find this to be inconsistent and if not, can you help me understand why this is not an example of Omar being inconsistent.
Peace

Wanted to make few comment on root's content consonants. The weak letters are three. These are same as long vowels. Alif, Ya and Waw. These can be interchanged based upon more for convinence in utterances.
Badar - can you please clarify
Is this a general statement you are making (i.e. not specific to the roots I am examining in this thread)? Are you saying that of the 28 Arabic letters, there are 3 weak letters which are Alif, Ya and Waw. Are you saying that when these weak letters are used in a root word, that these letters can be swapped for one another when one writes the ROOT word?

That is NOT Root but is a word. Root means consonants in certain sequence, Root is
Words from this Root in the Grand Qur'aanTotal occurrences 660My database shows 659 occurences. Can you please cite your source. I would like to compare the Sura/Aya/Word#s to account for the difference.
Interestingly, Omar states that "The root with its above forms has been used in the Holy Qur'an about 560 times" re Q?ma on p. 474

the root is >>>>>> and the source is
Omar's Dictionary tells me the root is Q?ma
But then below this (p. 471), it saysCan you please help me understand what your definition is of root vs. source? What you have identified as "source" ( ا is one of the words(?)/roots(?) that Omar has listed (" " in the heading of the "root" I am examining. And I am trying to understand the significance of the words that Omar lists in the Headings of each root entry.

Database is available on some of the websites. Checking the accuracy is ones own effort, and it should be manual/ones own hard copy of the Qur'aan-I use the one printed by Saudi Government, not through computer programmes/software.
Whenever you wish to cross verify the database, message or email me. InshaAllah I will share it with you. Slowly and gradially I am uploading the Perception of Roots alongwith all words made from it that have occurred in Qur'aan plus their analysis.

Dear Sabboushi, you are working with a lost/corrupted language. If you are struggling you shouldn't feel bad or alone. When the second root letter is Ya or Waw. Such roots are classified as Ajwaf. The rule is, if all consonant have Fetha as movement/vowel. Middle Waw changes to Alif. This appears only for easy of pronunciation and should not change the root meaning. At least non of Arabic Grammarian have said this. However, in present reality we are told differently. In this root of , verb would be under rule of Ajwaf , it becomes .
Hope this helps. Please refer to Wright's discussion of weak verbs in vol. 1. If you need further help. Please do not hesitate.

Just a further clarification, not all, even if 1st and second consonant have fetha and in addition second consonant is a Waw. The Waw changes into an alif, like above in example word.

Mazhar-
Thanks for the links. Very interesting what you wrote about truth and knowledge re Root
Database is available on some of the websites.
Can you please provide links for me?
I see that you have included syntax and morphology. Have you seen this http//corpus.quran.com/wordbyword.jsp
I use the one printed by Saudi Government
I did a search but too many irrelevant links to find... can you tell me the specifics if I want to locate and purchase (I saw some Saudi links offering Quran for free, but link I tried was broken). What does this Quran printed by Saudi Government have that is different from other Quran printings? Does it list the roots and counts?
Whenever you wish to cross verify the database, message or email me. InshaAllah I will share it with you.
Thank you for your generous offer-- I will do that since again, your work seems more accurate than what I have. e.g.
Root - I only have 380 instead of 381. # of constructions I have 36 instead of 33 -
Please refer to Wright's discussion of weak verbs in vol. 1.
EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! Thank you! Wright's explanation starting on p. 71 answers many questions for me (and gives me many more... I was trying to go through his book last year, but realized I needed to gather more knowledge first...)
