    Dear Rajah,

I suppose it is inevitable that each nation gets obsessed with their messenger (405).

Mohammed is a man - who happened to be chosen by God to deliver His message. God could have chosen a guy called "Adnan" and we would see the same tape being played out with people "praising Adnan" and talking about how great he is and how they want to love him and think about him all the time...

    Salaam Layth,
I respect your stand for monotheism. We find rare Arabs who do not elevate Muhammad peace is upon him higher than what Allah has, you are one of those rares I guess. Yes Muhammad is a man but chosen one, it was not Adnan who was chosen it was Muhammad peace is upon him and his qualities are different from any ordinary person and I am sure he or other messengers were not chosen by pick and chose game at random or by a lottery, there was hard work, toil , mediation, sacrifices which ordinary people even won't think of. Therefore all respect is due to all the messengers of Allah and Muhammad peace is upon him.

    Layth

1035 Say ?Are there any of those whom you set up as partners who can guide to the truth?? Say ?God guides to the truth. Is He who guides to the truth more worthy of being followed, or he who does not guide except after he is guided? What is wrong with you, how do you judge??

No I am not setting any partners over here it is different, Muhammad peace is upon him was the greatest Monotheist and we follow him as per command of Allah.

      Brother Raaajah

      Assalamu Alaikum.

      Thank you.

      By the way, Brother Layth,
what did you want to make by mentioning 405?

405 is Before they, the people of Noah denied and the opponents after them. Every nation plotted against their messenger to seize him, and they disputed by means of falsehood to defeat with it the truth. So I seized them; how then was My punishment!

How does this ayat give you the impression that {{each nation gets obsessed with their messenger }}?
How does it fit in this discussion?

Wa Alaikum Salaam wa Rahmath Allah,

        Brother Mohammed M. Khan
        Assalamu Alaikum.

Is there anywhere written that when a word is used in a book many times that word must have bear only one meaning in every place they are used?

What about the words for Quran? Do you have any reference for that?

AlQuraan is the word of Allah and sent for the guidance, if its words has more than one meaning then it cannot guide to the path of Allah, but everyone can extract the meaning that suites their understanding.

Read carefully the 2454; it is obvious that the qul is to the man to whom the ayats have been revealed.

If it is so then why not ME is said instead of AlRasool same as in 331

If "Qul" is for AlRasool then it will be said "Ati Allaha wa Ati-oon" instead of "Ati Allah wa Ati AlRasool"

332 clarifies the qul in 331.
332 Say, "Obey God and the messenger.
331 Say, "If you love God then follow me.

        Look carefully.

As per your suggestion I looked carefully and found the same answer as per the above

May Allah open our hearts to accept the truth and guide us all on His path pr
        Mohammed M. Khan

Note Brother, if you are a sincere and honest truth seeker, then don't ignore what you see as truth, otherwise you will be away from the guidance. I don't ask you to follow me, but I ask you to follow what Allah is showing you. And IF you don't understand the truth, then please ask Allah for help and guidance for the TRUE path ONLY.

Did you heard the word Ahl-al-Kitab in Quran?

So, are all Al-Kitab expressing the same meaning "Al-Quran"?

          NO.

            Salaam;

Regarding the opening post, that is why I add (SAW) each time I mention Muhammad ((SAW)). We should respect the Messengers since they were chosen by Allah (SWT) for an important task. Remember it talks about Messengers and not the men themselves (i.e. we don't pray them simply because they are named Ibrahim or Muhammad, and then we have to look at the root word to see if it means "praise" (since that all belongs to Allah (SWT)). Either way, it amounts to showing respect for Messengers and supporting them, not religiously venerating them.

            Peace.

2143 And as such, We have made you a balanced nation so that you may be witness over the people, and that the messenger may be witness over you. And We did not make the focal point that you became on except to distinguish who follows the messenger from those who will turn on their heels. It was a great thing indeed except for those whom Allah had guided; Allah was not to waste your belief. Allah is Merciful and Compassionate over the people.

I understand that we have to be moderate/balanced as per AlQuraan/AlKitaab. That means to me that what others do cannot be 100% wrong. But we don't have to see them as we already have AlKitaab to ponder upon. So, our practices may tally with others/non believers.

                                    Salam M.Khan

Answer to your question is already in the aayaats as

You admit that the verses are referring to God who sends Salam on His Messengers.

As I?m sure you know we are commanded to greet people/believers with Salam which is from God as stated in

2461When you enter any home, you shall greet each other a greeting from GOD that is blessed and good. GOD thus explains the revelations for you, that you may understand.

2427-O you who believe, do not enter homes other than yours without permission from their inhabitants, and without greeting them. This is better for you, that you may take heed.

486-When greeted with a greeting, you shall respond with a better greeting or at least an equal one. GOD reckons all things.

And uttering peace/salam when the ignorant speaks

2563-The worshipers of the Most Gracious are those who tread the earth gently, and when the ignorant speak to them, they only utter peace.

And proof that salam/peace is coming from God.

3658-Greetings of peace from a Most Merciful Lord.

No where in the Quran we are commanded sending peace/salam on dead people.

I know some people use the following verses to justify their utterance but the verses are not commanding us to say peace to messengers

                                    37181-Peace be upon the messengers.

2759-Say, "Praise be to GOD and peace be upon His servants whom He chose. Is GOD better, or the idols some people set up?"

                                    In 37181 again God sends Salam on messengers ?.And in 27181 it?s acknowledgment of peace from God on His chosen servants in light of the following verses;

2047-"Go to him and say, `We are two messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go. You must refrain from persecuting them. We bring a sign from your Lord, and peace is the lot of those who heed the guidance.

1010-Their prayer therein is "Be You glorified, our god," their greeting therein is, "Peace," and their ultimate prayer is "Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe."

                                    Asana

No where in the Quran we are commanded sending peace/salam on dead people.

Do you recite Quran? if you do how do you skip the verses mentioned by mmkhan? when you recite those verses you automatically say Salaam to whom you think are dead!
How can a dead body be witness to his people?
Do you understand that it is only mutation that takes place from one phase to another?
What is the day of judgment? Who will be present there?

We will raise you into a form of which you have not the slightest knowledge. Surah Al-Waqiah 62

After the mutation takes place we are in different world of which we have no slightest knowledge, but some pretaining to be more knowledgeable than Allah say the Prophets are dead, In my point of view even an ordinary person is alive what to say about prophets.

Your first creation and your second creation will be identical. Surah Luqman

"Say 'The Angel of Death, put in charge of you, will (duly)
take your souls. Then shall you be brought back to your Lord."
                                        Surah-Al-Sajdah

To those who reject Our signs and treat them with arrogance, no opening will there be of the gates of heaven, nor will they enter the garden, until the camel can pass through the eye of the needle Such is Our reward for those in sin. Al-araf

"Whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger, they
are with those whom Allah has blessed, the prophets, the sincere, the
martyrs and the righteous. Very excellent companions they are!"
                                        (469)

and what does Allah says about martyrs

?And do not term those who have been killed in the path of Allah as dead. In fact, they are living but you perceive not.? (Baqarah 153).

Do you understand Asana? you perceive not! Messengers are excellent companions along with martyrs and martyrs are not dead.

,Do you recite Quran? if you do how do you skip the verses mentioned by mmkhan? when you recite those verses you automatically say Salaam to whom you think are dead!

I do recite Quran and studying it too!......In those verses it?s God who sends Salam on Messengers not prophet or you and I??.Salam is a greeting/salam/peace from God 3658 and other verses too like 2461...salam /peace is coming from God likewise Mercy ,God is the One who can have Mercy on us .
In Eyes of God dead are alive.

,How can a dead body be witness to his people?

This is your misunderstanding and sorry to say that it?s idolatry too because if Prophet is alive and witnessing us if that?s what you meant then he?s god beside God and he?s present every where and can see everything/everybody .In that case God is not The Only Seer,Hearer.

?And do not term those who have been killed in the path of Allah as dead. In fact, they are living but you perceive not.? (Baqarah 153).

I should ask you, do you understand that they?re alive in Eyes of God not us because time doesn?t exist for God? Do you perceive that if they?re alive the way you perceive then why prophet doesn?t answer you back when you say Salam to him? Haven?t you read that God says response to Salam with the equal or better one? So where is prophet?s response?!
And please reflect on this verse

3670-To preach to those who are alive, and to expose the disbelievers.

Quran is for preaching to alive people, meaning it?s for those who lives not the dead people that its teaching to be used.

And would you know why Prophet Jesus sends Salam on himself? I leave it to you to figure it up.

1933-And peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I die, and the day I get resurrected."
