Sinning because of Someone else

But those who break the Covenant of Allah, after having plighted their word thereto, and cut asunder those things which Allah has commanded to be joined, and work mischief in the land;- on them is the curse; for them is the terrible home!{2912}
And the Unbelievers say to those who believe "Follow our path, and we will bear (the consequences) of your faults." Never in the least will they bear their faults in fact they are liars!
{13}
They will bear their own burdens, and (other) burdens along with their own, and on the Day of Judgments they will be called to account for their falsehoods. The message is clear.

Pretty much. Also these good quotes that reflects that they won't be on the pales of Islam if they sin cause of others but they will treated as sinners under their own burden.

Peace all,
I believe that the Shirk is associating to God what He did not allow (i.e., what He did not reveal in His Books).
Salaam
There are two unforgiveable sins; one is shirk and the other is munfiq. In one Surah in the Qur?an we read ?all will be forgiven except the munafiqeen and then it?s been quoted several times that the sin of shirk will not be forgiven. If we consider the matter carefully we realize that a munafiq puts up a false appearance to the world. S/he may even know that God exists, but to the munafiq the ?gods? of this world are of greater importance.
The same is true for s/he who assumes that anyone other than God has the power to provide a better life and therefore succumbs to other than god and thus commits shirk.
Any who try to replace God, either themselves, by super-imposing their own agenda on the message of Allah, or by assuming that anyone other than God has the power to harm or benefit them, are all mushrikeen

peaceThat definition of a Munafiq is quite very wrong actually. A Munafiq remember is a HYPOCRITE. A Hypocrite by the meaning that they pretend that they are Muslims but really they are Kaffirs. There were many many examples of them during Muhammad's era where people would only side with him cause he is of the winning team when in fact they disbelieved what Muhammad said or the man who was pretending to be Muhammad's subordinate and even made a mosque but was trying to backstab him cause he wanted power.
Don't confuse the definition of a Munafiq with a simple Kaffir who doesn't believe the words of the Quran or only chooses parts that benefit him.
Though you are correct about the the definition of Shirk down there in that anyone who believes (yes i'm gonna bold these cause people miss the importance of the word believe) that others can provide what God can whether it be law or destiny. A person who sins whether for himself or for others while believing God is correct with his laws and controls their destinties wouldn't be a mushirk though, but rather one who has chose to sin.
Just remember both Munafiq and Shirk fit under the catagory of Kufr which means disbelief, whether that disbelief be in terms of God or his Quran. So if one believes in God and all that the Quran says can't be a Kaffir, but they could be sinners and quite big ones too if they choose until the day the repent.

Where did you see me using work Kafir?
Pls read carefuly what I have written and then reflect, remember that hypocrites are not same as Munafiqeen. Al-Qaida are actully munafiq of our time so stop following mass media and reflect on what I said instead of rushing to protect what you beleive is the right approach.

peaceThe defintion you just gave was one that would describe a kaffir and not a Munafiq. and yes Hypocrites ARE the same as Munafiqs. That is literally what Munafiq translates to even. In terms of Al Qaeda, a regular soldier of it wouldn't be a Munafiq as he isn't lying about his beliefs while the upper heads might very well be and thus using religion as a tool to do their biddings thus what makes them hypocrites.

This is a very complex issue.
We must be aware of one thing first and foremost, that no human knows the secrets of another human's heart. And that ALLAH alone encompasses all of our hearts.

Exactly and when it came to munafiqun even prophet Mohammad could not recognize them and he was informed by God not to be swayed by the speech of a munafiq, whereas some people seem to know from medi hype the secrets of Al-Qaida, a group invented by Mossad/CIA whose members are mercenaries trained to do the dirty job. Despite being warned in the Quran to be aware of the munafiq and to investigagte news before accepting them as true many just swallow whatever media throws at them. Sad state of affairs brickwall -

Very true, thus why we are basically assuming as it has been stating before that the Munafiq is very dangerous as he pretends to be a full muslim but in reality he is a kaffir. Thus it is only a theory of the leader of Al Qaeda being a Munafiq by saying we fight for Islam but he really being a Kaffir and having different plans all together.

They could just be very radically interpreting things as the Wahabi's that they are. Thus they believe, but are quite astray as a result.

We have all know about Taliban and so called mujahideen, jamat Isalami and other once called fundamentilist but when did you first hear about Al-Qaida and how many member of Al-Qaida were know to you prior to 9/11?
If you follow Quran only then did you investigate about origin, ideology and member of Al-Qaida before you stated talking about them if not then don't repeat what you only learn from mass media. OK -

Are you scared of upsetting someone much powerfull than God?O_o you are bringing in a political matter of CIA being in charge of Al Qaeda. I was simply referring to the possibility of the leaders actually be Kaffirs or Munafiqs.
Geez calm yourself dude, we are talking religion not politics

There are plenty of kafir around why talk of Al-Qaida, by doing so you made this discussion political as Al-Qaida is a political tool to fool masses.
Yes it does make me angry when those who claim to follow Quran do not investigate but forward the propoganda further.

Setting priorities
*Thus if your boss won't allow you to pray, and you deliberately have to miss your prayers, Quitting your Job is a Must. God is the best provider
*If a thousand people do wrong and invite you to do wrong, their number will not mellow down righteousness (Consequently God tells the bad is not the same as the good, even if the bad outnumbers 1005) (i.e don't do bad just because many are doing bad)May the Lord God Protect us & save us from sinning and stumbling off his path pr

Before this gets a little out of hand (although interesting direction this thread is taking).
I must disagree a little with your comment above
#If someone's profession makes it absolutely impossible to perform a ritual prayer as we know it then we do not need to quit our job. Without any reference to the Quran I am still of the stern belief that Allah forgives us if we do not park the, for example ambulance, to do our contact prayer.
#We can fold to peer pressure if it is for the greater good, again I do not have Quranic reference but it is a reference to the sunnah of a muslim. When I converted to islam many of my friends turned their backs to me. The only way I could "win" them back was to show them that I was the same old Emil that I was before and I hadn't turned into a Taliban. I knew the easiest way I could get them to accept my conversion was to get drunk, so I did....We went out for a night on the town....After that they have listened to me, they have a greater understanding of islam and they do not longer see a dude with a "Muhammed beard" as a taliban. Furthermore they respect my decision to abstain from alcohol.

I am sorry dude this was not a popular example but yes right one when talking of munafuqoon.
I have no desire to get political I am only talking from Islamic point of view which is to investigate before accepting news flying around. Blindly accepting what ever comes through popular mass media has already done lot of demage to many ignorant so called muslims. CIA and Mossads are todays reality so do not take them as just names they are working hard for their own agenda so you work hard for yours or you will be left far behind.
They plot so does Allah plot, Allah is the best of the planner (not exact words) peace -

Well, as for my theology, i think setting priorities is a key. I would think that God should be set as your first priority. If you are hindered to do your salat while standing, riding, or walking then that's a problem (overlooking medical reasons etc.)Also, by bad/wrong i would think i ment to do something intentionally bad (e.g stealing, spreading rumers, being evil/bad in nature).
As for your personal example, there is a difference, your intention was good. I could cite you the example of Jesus who some jews thought of him as "breaking" the sabbath, by doing something Good(healing).May the Lord God resolve our desputes pr

Regardless not the place to really talk about those though.
