Well, your favorite SOL site is promoting nothing more than a religion. Weather you like that or not. You can make up any definitions you like, change any meaning of English or Arabic words to fit a religion of your own making but it won't change what it is.
And ablution and fasting and prayer are required rituals, even if you dont like the word because it doesnt fit the religion you want to create for yourself.

Unfortunately for you, God, the one you don't believe in and have reduced to little more than energy, teaches otherwise. You can't have a fully Cognizant, fully Sentinent, Most Wise Creator, who has declared a defined purpose for all of His creation and this existence, yet claim there is no God. It's totally contradictory and contrary to the teachings of the Quran.
A Supremely Intelligent Design in the universe, from it's smallest facet to it's largest and as a whole, denotes a Supremely Intelligent Designer. Hence, God. He is who He says He is, in the Quran, not what you personally wish Him to be according to your religion.

It has to have an Owner, a Sentient and Cognizant generator of those thoughts. Belief in a concept? Are you kidding me? God is a concept too, and I don't believe in god, I believe in Allah, who is not a god. You're the one who's an idolater for making Allah an idol when Allah is not an idol. What I call Allah is simply what I believe him to be because it makes sense, how does that make me an idolater? I think that God wants us to KNOW Him, and not only to believe in him, so I agree with you nurmuhammed!
In the whole Torah the belief in God is mentioned only twice!, all the rest is always an invitation to KNOW HIM!!!, and talking about knowing God, and He says "Know that I am your God"!!! (He didn't say believe that I am your God)
"I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God, and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who has brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians."
(Exodus 67)-not to mention Psalms... (or the Commandments, which did NOT change, and never got abrogated by the Quran!)

Belief may be more advanced than submission. Is it possible to believe without submitting? AQ 4914 implies that belief should be build upon submission. Another way of thinking about it is that belief is NOT required for a positive outcome on JD (submission may suffice, ISA).
Belief is not a "free pass" into paradise, either.
390 Those who have rejected after their belief, then increased in rejection, their repentance will not be accepted, they are the strayers.
3100 O you who believe, if you obey a group of those who received the Book they will turn you after your belief into rejecters!
3177 Those who have purchased rejection with belief will not harm GOD in the least, and they will have a painful retribution.

There are many religions, but there is only one ALLAH. Would it be better for a monotheist to embrace any religion other than Islam, or to "embrace" atheism or agnosticism? hmm
A religion is good if it helps a person to embrace monotheism and do good works. Other than that, monotheism without religion suffices. More religion is a "larger net" to "catch more fish".

One of the more beautiful examples that I've read is that faith is like a sail. A sail without wind will not move anything; the sail is dependent upon wind. If faith is like a sail, ALLAH is the provider of the wind for the sail. Our faith/belief/prayers/rituals/etc do not compel/obligate ALLAH; we are fully dependent on the goodwill of ALLAH whether we recognize it or not.
