I'm not telling you that Christianity is the truth or Islam is the truth. I am just rebutting the idea that they have more in common with us than the Sunni and Shia Muslims. There is a huge difference about who Jesus really is and no it is not similar to Islam at all.

Other than the issue of jJesus's divinity, what other issue Christians differ with us on? Meanwhile I could go for two whole days to explain the differences between us and your average Muslim. Plus all Sunni authority and Shia authority would wish you were dead right now. Better think again.

You make it seem like the issue of Jesus divinity is a little thing. That is a big deal, a huge deal, a massive deal. O0

Its a big deal cause you make it so. It ain't a big deal to me. Anyways Muslims believe Muhamad has divine authority. The reason why they don't say Muhammad was divine is to transfer that authority to the ruler. However they gave him absolute divine authority. He has the authority to intriduce legislations like the Koran does, he can even abrogate the Koran and even contradict it. I fail to see why you see Muslim converting to Christianity as a bad deal.

You can think of it as stupid and as ridiculous as you like. But similar no? It's like saying that an apple and an orange are exactly the same because they are both round, when we both know that they taste completely different.

Yes it's similar as Rotten Apple and Rotten Orange are similarly Rotten...
And when they're rotten they taste pretty much the same..

Anyway it seems that you are the kind of person who is incapable of having a polite debate and just enjoy aggravating the person you are talking to, which is very immature. I used to enjoy this style of debating when I was in my early 20s, but at 31 no. Either you tell me your point of view without being offensive or let's not talk at all. We are all adults here and there is no need for that kind of behavior.

          Hello??
Are you being 'insulted' because I said "both of THEM are stupid and ridiculous?"
          I didn't say "YOU".. I said "THEM"..
Do you feel you're among THEM?
          If you're then I apologize...

          Salam / Peace

            Bro..

            1. Have you met Jesus? the answer is obviously no.. and so does billions of other people who lives among us today..
            2. Can you explain what's your understanding of "divine"?

I have asked the question #2 to many xtians.. and mostly the answers that I got are similar to
"I dunno... the priests/church said so..... so I said yeah.. he's divine... whatever that mean"..

            Salam / Peace

Muslims give Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) insane powers. However, they do not think of him as a God or the son of God. Big difference )

when there is a place of worship where love, forgiveness by 'God' is preached and you can come as you are but better if you come in your finest vs another place of worship where women enter from a side door or not at all where you worship this 'angry' God that you have to wash a certain way certain number of times and then have to pray a certain way, certain number of times. and if you don't then you are not a good practicing believer.

ok - if i had to choose, i would choose church over mosque. man created christianity over man created islam. sad that made created religions than God's religion is spreading may it be 'christianity' or 'islam'.

I like that answer. Going to a mosque for any of us could be dangerous.

9108 Never stand thou forth therein. There is a mosque whose foundation was laid from the first day on piety; it is more worthy of the standing forth (for prayer) therein. In it are men who love to be purified; and Allah loveth those who make themselves pure.

Why should it matter if there is a side entrance for women or washing rituals, when the Quran has given us clear guidance to search for a right mosque built on piety

It matters to most Muslims just like praying 4 rika' for asr prayers matter. They are not that flexible and between Muslims and us is a luge wall. Its hard having a religious debate with Muslims, much harder than Christians.

By then you'll be stepping your feet on the Koran...
Which many sectarians see that as an act of 'contempt', given that Koran is holy...

You are welcome to join me and one other brother in faith, who use my living room as a mosque on Fridays. That's as close as we can get to what you seek above.
