What else do you think it means?.

I have seen lately in the guise of not believing hadiths people are not giving RESPECT as it should be to prohphet Mohammed SAS.
Can we call prophet Mohammed SAS just by his name as if we are talking about any xyz person.Comparing prophet Mohammed SAS with others, etc.
Can somebody please shed some light on it.

Lol. You think saying SAS gives respect? I never understood this SAS thing. I heard muslims saying ''Muhammed SAS used to go round (have sexual relations with) all his wives in one night, and he had nine wives'' or ''Muhammed SAS used rinse his mouth and spat the water into Mahmod bin rabe'' And I just wonder, do they really respect Muhammed when they believe such things? Just because you say SAS doesnt mean that you respect him.
And why do you only say SAS to muhammed? Why not to Jesus, David, Moses etc.? You are not allowed to distinguish between the prophets. They are all the same as per quran.
Muhammad might have been a great man like Gandhi and other great men, but since we never knew each other, its hard for me to care much about him. Come on, I know more about Job and Jonah than I know about Muhammed.. It was all this heavy obsession with Muhammad which led to the distortion of Islam and created the possibility of inventing hadith. Therefore, I believe, we shall stop being so focused on Muhammed and instead focus more on Qurans message

What is DAROOD or SALAWAAT?
The word DAROOD is not Arabic. The word SALAWAAT is Arabic. It is usually
believed that if we read SALAWAAT on Muhammad for a certain number of
times, our sins will be forgiven, so on and so forth.If we see Quran, we come to know that it is not only human beings who are to do
SALAWAAT but Allah, His angels as well as the prophet also do
SALAWAAT on human beings.Please see the following
Allah?s SALAWAAT on human beings
2156 When a calamity befalls them, they do not waver. Rather, they say, "We
are for Allah, dedicated to His Cause and every step of ours will advance in
the Direction shown by Him." (9159).2157 It is they on whom is SALAWAAT from their Lord and blesses with His Grace. And it is they, they who are guided to
the most desirable destination.The above verse clearly indicates that SALAWAAT can also be on human beings
from Allah. Now does this mean that Allah reads for a certain time SALAWAAT on
