Mate of Adam

Salam Andya Primanda,
This is a very interesting proposition you make
I've also yet to see a person/archetype other than 3eesa be called by the direct name of his parents..and guess who it is, a female
3eesa ibn maryam
doesn't that coincide with the idea of maternal lineage system as per your background i would persume?
as most cases of born unmarried MMA's would be easily identifieable by this system?
now that would be a slap on the face of the paternal lineage system; and so the "death" of 3eesa AS on the cross..wallahua3lam

Nafsin whidatun, Nafs is feminine, therefore in Arabic, is not "his" mate, but "her" mate. Why in English it is made "his", I suppose because it is the generic when we do not know whther something is feminine or masculine, or because we want to mean both.
But the Arabic does not lend itself to make of the nafs a male or a female. God chose "His" words wisely .

talking about the twist and turn thing..well that's that..anyway here's another verse that talks about maternal lineage system that's worthy of mention by His Higness The Creator of All..
7150o son of my mother..
and afaik i haven't seen any verses that talked about o son of my father, etc..
but the question is probably when was the paternalistic oriented society emerged in history?
was it in the times of Moosa(Moses) AS or after, and i'd be interested to learn the sequence of the emergance of the prophet as per Quranic view..wallahua3lam

My choice of lineage would be both lineages. That is the logical thing. In fact in countries of Iberian stock both the mother and the father's family names are taken by the children. In old times, which came first was by choice, later around the three last centuries, "progress" demanded that the father's name came first. Now, in Spain at least people can change that order, although it is by request, which is unfair. In Portugal, however, I think choice has continued to be the rule.
Now, excuse the digression, going back to Qur'an, I appreciate John's effort to watch this kind of thing, and I am sure that if doesn't always bring returns, it is necessary to extract from the Qur'an all its wealth of meanings and light for us. The Qur'an is unexhaustible, it always comes out with new insights. It is ashtounding.
In this particular case, I do not exclude anything and it may be pointing to the mother's lineage, but also it may point to the fact that they have the same mother, but not they same father, or that they have the same mother and the same father, but there are other siblings who have a different mother. So that would set him apart from other siblings.

Salaam,
I agree.
917
917 Wanafsin wama sawwahaAs far as I know, HA is only for feminine things.
Look at the translations of chapter 91, very weird. Every verse ends with HA but translators never use HER for HA, but they use HIS or IT.
An exception is made by them only for 9113 and 14 were it's talking about "nakata Allahi" hmmAnd to the topic starter this verse is not about Adam.

What is talking about verse 41?
please clear it
I understand this verse, that it is talking about a NAFS / Beign, and not a person, it"s ralking about a cell , it get divided to get it's mate
a cell is directly called Sulala in the quran-
- 12 -
and we created men from a cell from tuning
-
- 8 -
and we made it's clone from a cell of a despised matter

now what is ins, i'm yet to understand it thoroughly..
what i can understand from a glance is that ins is different from jin
was made out of sulalalh (@loxbox13 interesting how selular is almost identical to sulalah without the r )perhaps you might want to share your view on it

Isa was born without a father, so obviously that's why he is referred as "son of Maryam".

Because Allah swt wanted so. Simple, no?
What are these dirty tricks you're talking about? You mean Qur'an never mentions prophet Sulayman? Sorry, I don't quite understand, English is not my native language and obviously, neither is yours. So, please explain. Thanks.
Salaams.

that doesn't convince me, there must be an intelligible explanation to that
rabbana ma khalaqta hadza bathilan sub7anaka faqina 3azaabannarWhat are these dirty tricks you're talking about?
the dirty trick is on behalf of the patriarch oriente system
the patriarch oriented system has deviated from the path somehow
and Allah SWT is trying to correct it through the concept of 3eesa ASYou mean Qur'an never mentions prophet Sulayman? Sorry, I don't quite understand, English is not my native language and obviously, neither is yours. So, please explain. Thanks.
