I am confused regarding your saying that one can have babies by himself/herself, never heard of it before

My view and from personal experience, Masturbation is a sin. temptwhat's the point of getting a spouse, if you can do it by yourself?

Your statement is similar to Sunni muslims who insist muslims should marry early on in order to avoid mingling with the opposite sex. Its quite absurd.
You do realise that some people have no desire to marry or don't want the burden of a family, should these people avoid masturbation for life? Or what about a woman who is pregnant or on her period where she might feel uncomfortable having intercourse. Whats your solution, force ourselves to wait a few weeks, for some action? ) Or even worse, when a couple have arguments, perhaps break up and live separately. You might be out of action for a year or two, maybe more if you're unlucky. )
Rigid thinking such as this is rife in Sectarian Islam, Catholicism, Orthodox Judaism etc. You would expect a Sunni scholar to advise you to get married in order to avoid masturbation - as if thats a logical thing do do.

It does not matter about having babies. Homosexual acts will not produce babies, however they are not ok.
My Understanding is that ANY sexual acts should be reserved with the spouse period

I dont think sunni is wrong on this idea. Beeing alone is make us closer to adultery. I think by marry early adultery can be avoided.

We can have two-somes and hand-somes but not three-somes.
All this nonsense about masturbating being a sin and all is not islam but influences from christianity and judaism. The initial question was if the term fasting also includes masturbation. To me this is an entirely individual question with an individual answer. Whatever makes you feel like you have broken your fast, then so it is.
I dont know but I never felt sexual pleasure is something Allah will ever judge us by. His only concern seems that we do not break oaths or promises we make to someone we have decided to make family with or that we hurt someone while seeking for our pleasures.
I am sorry to say but I have not found one quranic verse where it says "You are not allowed to enjoy the pleasures we have given to you"..........Instead He gives us fair warning that if we let these pleasures given by Him to take over our lives (alcoholism, gambling, lewdness) we are going astray from the islamic path. -
