Sorry brother, I still mean it with capital "G".. or lower "g". Either one is not Allah.

I understand what u mean Allah is not god/God is not about language issues but a philoshophy.
I still remember ur disscussion with me months ago.

    Peace peace

      Salam

It is not entirely true (refer here), and it doesn't matter if people want to call Allah as god, or God, tuhan, Tuhan, al Ilah, Alla, Dios, Deus, Dieu, Gud, Gott or whatever beautiful names they wish to call Allah. It makes no difference, and it is not even an issue. Understanding is a process and believe whatever they want to believe, as long it is in the Qur'an, justly balanced and make sense. Simple!

..will understand the actual concept of Allah after becoming a Believer. .The understanding of Allah is a "life process" but not the end descriptions or meanings of Allah. It is not something that can be taken for granted or achieve through academical process, but a privilege, and dependent on the level of our faith.

      Peace. peace

        Salaam,

Islamophobes call it a moon god? Allah is just literally "the god" but because of grammar you say God in English.

        God bless you

          Peace All,

God is not letters, no matter how you construct them, putting any five, four, three or ten letters of any language, in any sequence is not Allah, like I (hawk99) am not letters. Letters are symbols used to identify, communicate, objects,
concepts, ideas etc., therefore one way to look at it is that the supreme being is a concept of omnipotence and
other attributes attributed to God, Allah ,Alla, Dios, Deus, Dieu, Gud, Gott, or Creator!

          God bless

          peace

Peace muslims, do you even freaking read my whole first post?

If Qur'an was sent down in Portuguese, then the word DEUS would be used, then it would be "Deus is One, Deus neither begets nor begotten"........ etc.
The Qur'an simply tells the concept of God in islam.
That's what I said. You are on type two. People of type two are over-Literalists of Arabic words of the Qur'an.
Arabs have been using the word even before Qur'an was sent down. Original Torah, Gospels etc, what do you think the languages of the Revelations were? The Revelations used too when they talked about 'The One who is One, Neither begets nor begotten.... Etc'?????

Seriously people please read my post thoroughly.

Earthdom, type 1 is well-known. Not many people practise type 2. The people that I know practise type 2 are Abdun Nur, muslims, meteroa, Pazuzu, mmkhan***
*** means not really sure or maybe I misunderstood.

I do read my own post.

But didn't you use the 2nd type argument in your previous post "Allah is one"?

Premise 2 Sura 112 said Allah is One and not equivalent to god(s).

So I just replied your post but seems you don't comprehend anything. No wonder when people debate you, they say that you just debate with yourself.

Is it hard to understand Qur'an was sent down in Arabic so the word Allah is used. If Qur'an was sent down in Portuguese, the word Deus would be used and it would be "Deus is One, Deus neither begets nor is begotten".
Quran just tells the true monotheistic concept, not a Supernatural Being named Allah.

Why this name calling, ad hominem etc?

Suddenly you feel threatened because you thread is about sectarianism, are you a sectarian? hates? racism? laugh

If you want to talk about a sectarian issue or your hates against Arabs, or Arabic language, or any races..

Sorry.. I'm not interested in this bigotry issue.

It is not even an issue according to the Qur'an.

                  Sectarianism is
                  bigotry
                  discrimination
                  or hatred

                  arising from
attaching importance to perceived differences between subdivisions within a group <- Quranist group?
such as between different denominations of
                  a religion
                  class
                  regional
or factions of a political movement

AND.. what's wrong with "Allah is One"?

What's wrong with "nothing is equivalent to Allah"?

This issue is not about languages.

and... what's wrong with Allah sent down the revelations to the Arabs, and in Arabic language?

                  an Arabic Qur'an <- Translation is a Qur'an?
without any deviance If not, why it is becoming an issue to you or anyone?
that they might become righteous Did Allah ask you to have faith in translation, as equal to the Qur'an?
(3928) If not, why it is becoming an issue to you or anyone?

You don't agree with Allah decisions?

You are smarter than Allah and have better solutions? hmm

                  Peace.

Seriously you really have a serious comprehensive problem. I never say I hate Arabic or Arabs or being bigoted against Arabs. I myself use Arabic name custom in my local documents. I am not a Westerner.

I never say the phrase "Allah is One'' is wrong but I was just telling that YOU used the argument "Allah is one" to prove that Allah is not God.

                    Is it hard to understand
Arabs have been using Allah when speaking Arabic no matter what their faiths are for more millennia, even before Qur'an was sent down.
The word Allah is used in the Qur'an because Qur'an was sent down in Arabic.
The Qur'an simply tells and explains the true monotheistic concept of God.
If Qur'an was sent down in Portuguese, the word Deus would be used instead of Allah.

Where are bigotry and racism here? As far as I know SOME of the Malaysian "Muslims" are the ones who are bigoted for saying "Non-Muslims cannot use Allah".

Can you also prove me that the previous Messengers also use Allah with exact pronunciation?

You need to ask the Submitters to review using their Code 19, and delete or change the following verses... There is no other sect can amend the Qur'an.

                      Original

                      And if you asked them
"Who created the heavens and the earth?"
they would surely say, " Allah ."
                      (3642)

                      Proposal for amendment

                      And if you asked them
"Who created the heavens and the earth?"
they would surely say, " God ."

Asked them again, which God? <- proposal for addition of new verses ;D
Be specific, there are many Gods!
                      They would surely say, ummmmmm......
But God, what is your name?
                      Say, I am God. brickwall

                      (3642 - Amended)

                        Say, "He is Allah, One
                        Allah, the Eternal Refuge
He neither begets nor is born
Nor is there to Him any equivalent"
                        (112)

                        Logical Argument

Premise 1 There are many (equivalent concept of) gods worshiped by human beings.
Premise 2 Sura 112 said Allah is One and not equivalent to god(s).

                        Argument Therefore, Allah is . . . ?
                        (a) God; or
                        (b) not God

                        Salam

If Allah is God, and every religion is using capital "G" for their gods, would it then be inconsistent with the following ayat?

Nor is there to Him any equivalent" (1124) <- including God or god (refer here)

?Nothing in existence within the micro or the macro planes is equivalent to HU!? (4211)

(refer definition clause in the Qur'an, interpretation of La Illah Ila Allah and interpretation of Surah Ikhlas)

Another conspiracy theories for referring all gods to the Tetragrammaton?

As religiously observant Jews are forbidden to say or write the Tetragrammaton in full, when reading the Torah they use the word Adonai. And although most Christians have no prohibition on vocalizing the Tetragrammaton, in most Christian translations of the Bible, "LORD" is used in place of the Tetragrammaton, after the Hebrew Adonai, and is often written with small capitals (or in all caps) to distinguish it from other words translated as "Lord". The name may be derived from a verb that means "to be, to exist".

Then why the **** do Christian Arabs use Allah too huh?

I am not discussing the nature of Allah in the Qur'an. This thread is aimed to talk about the origin and uses of the word Allah by various faiths especially those who speak Arabic.

There are also many illahs. Allah is the contraction of al-ilah. Why is it so hard to understand?

Qur'an was sent down in Arabic so the word Allah (contraction of al-ilah is used).

The verse " Allah is one" is because Qur'an was sent down in Arabic and the word Allah is used because Allah is in Arabic. The suchlike verses are to tell the Quranic concept of The Supreme Being.
                            = Lord
                            = god
, contraction of and = God

How are we going to find a conclusion if you are ignoring every question, facts and verses from the Qur'an? hmm

And in anything over which you disagree
its ruling is to Allah . ,
"That is Allah , my Lord <- another example, should it mean "That is God, my God" confused

Rabb / Lord means a master who has authority over others.
Who is our master? Ayatollah of Iran? King of Saud? A human-master who enslaves us? No! Our Lord is God / al-ilah.

I am not ignoring verses. I read every little thing you wrote but you never comprehend what people who use God says.
Do you think the previous prophets used Allah too despite different languages they used?

Quran just tells the true monotheistic concept, not a Supernatural Being named Allah.

Btw the word Allah and l-ilah is still different words, because merging Al and ilah into "Allah" has no rule in Arabic.

                                  FIRST ISSUE - IGNORED

Why the issue of translation is relevant to the Qur'an?

It is not even an issue according to the Qur'an.

it doesn't matter if people want to call Allah as god, or God, tuhan, Tuhan, al Ilah, Alla, Dios, Deus, Dieu, Gud, Gott or whatever beautiful names they wish to call Allah. It makes no difference, and it is not even an issue. Understanding is a process and believe whatever they want to believe, as long it is in the Qur'an, justly balanced and make sense. Simple!

what's wrong with Allah sent down the revelations to the Arabs, and in Arabic language?

                                  an Arabic Qur'an <- Translation is a Qur'an?
without any deviance If not, why it is becoming an issue to you or anyone?
that they might become righteous Did Allah ask you to have faith in translation, as equal to the Qur'an?
(3928) If not, why it is becoming an issue to you or anyone?

Does the following is an evidence for the "deviation" of the word "Allah"? (not critical)

                                  SECOND ISSUE - IGNORED

                                  Original

                                  And if you asked them

And in anything over which you disagree
its ruling is to Allah . ,

                                  FIFTH ISSUE - IGNORED

If Allah is God, and every religion is using capital "G" for their gods, would it then be inconsistent with the following ayat?

Nor is there to Him any equivalent" (1124) <- including God or god (refer here)

?Nothing in existence within the micro or the macro planes is equivalent to HU!? (4211)

They have certainly disbelieved who say, " Allah is the third of three." And there is no god except one God. And if they do not desist from what they are saying, there will surely afflict the disbelievers among them a painful punishment. (573)

                                  LAST ISSUE

Why Allah using the word "God" in so many places in the Qur'an, when "Allah" itself means "God"?

                                  Peace

                                    Just because I didn't 'answer' doesn't mean I ignore.

It is wasting time to talk a bullet-headed person like you.

                                    Ever heard the title Lord?

The people who call Jesus Lord do so because they consider Jesus as Divine.
I am not discussing the nature of Allah in the Quran but the word Allah that is being monopolized by fanatical Quran literalists.

Arabs have been using the word Allah for millennia, even before Qur'an was sent down. They included the Arabs who considered Jesus as son of Allah etc.

I don't understand why you quoted Earthdom's old post. Earthdom later changed his mind again.

                                          Salaam,

The language in Qur'an is Arabic so of course the examples are written in Arabic too. If I was asked the same question it would likely not be in Arabic and I would answer Gud or God. Talk about sterile logic.

                                          God bless you
