Flood in time of Nooh a.s.

Wakas, maybe you noticed the word qarn I put in brackets. Have you thought about it?
Which land was that? On which mountain his son wanted to climb (1143) and what Nooh's as words after that mean?
How high were waves, if they were "ke-l-jibal" (as mountain)?
Were they in some valley?Please tell us more about "'erd" from Nooh's a.s story... and the Earth is not a planet, it's plane.

there's a difference between (in the Earth) and (on the Earth). If we read last 3 ayats from surah Nooh we can maybe understand what is "El-'Erd", with His Help. Please find occurancies of these and think about them, I hope it'll be clear to you what is "El-'Erd" in Nooh's a.s. story.

I want you to think about implications of this event... and ask yourselves following questions
- what happened with atmosphere
- if the mass of the Earth changed does it mean that the Sun's gravity was much bigger, since it's related with the mass of objects interacting
- how come the Sun didn't pull the Earth towards it
- was gravitation of the Earth changed and what could be effects
- where that water left after the flood
- is God sending more water from the Skies after the flood
- we were told by NASA and Co. that the see level is increasing some 0.1 inches each year and it's cause global warming... was global warming when the see level was increased some 9000m
- Nothing wrong with the atmosphere
- The mass of the earth didn't change
- THe sun didn't pull anything towards it... the effect of gravity is caused by distortion of space and time fabric.. it's the distortion of space and time fabric due to the masses of object that 'pull' us to earth, moon to earth, earth to sun and sun to super gigantic black hole at the center of milky way galaxy
- No the distortion of space and time on earth didn't change
- Following the hydrological cycle of water, (river, sea, ground water, some evaporate to sky etc..)

I see you think as Wakas that the flood was local, sorry if I'm wrong, because you haven't stated it clear.
Anyways, I think you should read surah Nooh and its last 3 ayats where Nooh a.s. is asking from Allah swt something. We should think about 'ale-l-'Erdi used, which is very rare (fi-l-'Erdi is used many times). I hope you can understand that He was asking for the whole Earth, not just some its part.If you have accepted flood as a local then it's easy for you to accept answers you provided, with one exception where from the rain is coming?
This is very crucial topic for discussion about the shape of the Earth, because of many things said about the Earth in ayats with Nooh a.s. He lived very long and he was inviting his people for a very long period of time, but in Allah's hadith there are only few topics, and most of them are about the Earth.
Anyways, I'm curious how all of you who believe in some magic ball understand "doors of the Heavens" in 5411. There're a few ayats with "doors of the Heavens", but this one is telling us that a lot of the water came from the Skies, when it's doors were opened, and water came from within the Earth too. Maybe your answers are not correct, what you think? I haven't saw in any of ayats that there was something like tsunami or whatever you think happened. The water came from the Skies and the water came from the Earth, from its springs, it wasn't a water from the sees.
I hope I answered all your questions, except one about the ark, because I don't understand it.
There are two ayats after these I mentioned (5413-14) which are very good to think about and after them comes ayat which is explaining that all of these are ayat.

What you wanna present as "the land" is "el-berr" in Qur'an, and you can find its occurancies with "the sea" as "el-berru we-l-bahru" or similar, as in 596. But, if you tried to understand and accept what you get from the knowledge about senet and 'aam, you could maybe understand what/who was qawmihi (Nooh's a.s. qawm).
You also translated/understood the word es-sema' as "the Firmament", so I have to ask you what is Firmament? What is its composition? How can it fall ON Earth? Is it or its parts falling ON Earth, because Allah swt said 'illa bi-'iznih? Is it around the globe, since you believe that you're on some globe? If es-sema' falls ON Earth how it'll be done, will it just be shrinked to Earth's globe? What will happen with your satellites? Have you ever saw any? Where from you're getting informations about the Earth, what is in it and on it and beyond it?Sorry for my offensive language, but since you're not sure that you understand every word from ayats and ayats, you should re-think again and again and again. This should be the rule for me also and for everybody else. It's not very hard to differe 'ala and fi, no matter if it is about the Earth or anything else. What we shouldn't do is to translate them and think about the words in our languages. Our languages are not 'arabiyyun and they're not mubin, they are making a lot of confusions.

What can make us better persons? Is this (are these) one(s) of these things?

Will details about these have impact on our life?We can be better only if we're guided (more), but what is guidance? It's sebilu-llahi or siratu-llahi (Allah's Path/Path to Allah swt) . How to be on it, how to walk it? We have to recognize it and to accept it to be able to. To recognize it we have to find it and it can be found by its signs, which are His ayats. These ayats are in Qur'an, and in the Heavens and in the Earth, and between them, and in ourselves, and in everything He created. So, if we are coming near His ayats and we're thinking about them, we can be led to Him on His Path by the shadows of all He created. If we're thinking about His ayats and with His Help we get the knowledge about it, we'll see it. It depends on the knowledge we got about it how clear we'll see it. After getting the knowledge we have to use it, or to walk His Path. Only this will make us better persons.
So, you asked if these questions/answer can make us better persons. Yes, it can, if we think about them and if we get the knowledge about His Path with it and if we accept it (be believers in it).If you think that this is talking about unseen then let's delete all the history, for example, or let's say that we can't talk about the air... Unseen (ghayb) is what we do not have the knowledge about, but these ayats are not ghayb.
Details about this will have great impact on our lives with His Help, if He wishes. But, seeing the sea splits had no impact on some of the people. But, rising dead people had no impact on some of the people. Seeing Allah's sign and thinking about it and accepting it with His 'izn had an impact on pharaoh's magicians. Ayats are not ayats for all of the people.
My goal was to tell you that, maybe, if you want, you could think about "facts" you accepted as truth. Those which are falsehood, you accepted from fasiqoon and for which you have no proof, but the stories from liars. Anyways, I wrote this just to warn you, and we all are chosing what we'll follow and where's the truth for us.
