The name of article is "THE LINGUISTIC ANALYSIS OF THE TERM ALLAH"
You did not accept the conclusion that Allah means "THERE IS NOTHING FOR HIM" so what value you assign to the article brother.

Sorry if my answer seems bit dull but the meaning "THERE IS NOTHING FOR HIM" is off as you showed in this quote
323 ...... .......
So which translation of this verse make sense
They are called to book of Allah
or
They are called to book of THERE IS NOTHING FOR HIM
So the word would mean well...The God. Is this answer good? -\ -
I read "Allah" without translating it. I could not find any satisfactory explanation for this word. Corpus says it is a nominative proper noun. http//corpus.quran.com/wordmorphology.jsp?location=(22551)
Some say it's a proper, some it's a common noun and some say it's a special term like Man of Faith and the person in this article.
There is even verses that says Allah being The One God.
Wahuwa allathee fee alssama-iilahun wafee al-ardi ilahun wahuwa alhakeemualAAaleemu
4384 And He is the One who is a god in the heaven and a god on the earth. And He is the Wise, the Knowledgeable.Innama ilahukumu Allahuallathee la ilaha illa huwa wasiAAakulla shay-in AAilman
2098 Your god is God; whom there is no god but He. His knowledge encompasses all things.Waqala Allahu latattakhithoo ilahayni ithnayni innama huwailahun wahidun fa-iyyaya fairhabooni
1651 And God said "Do not take two gods, there is only One god, so it is Me that you shall reverence."Qul ayyu shay-in akbaru shahadatanquli Allahu shaheedun baynee wabaynakum waoohiyailayya hatha alqur-anu li-onthirakum bihiwaman balagha a-innakum latashhadoona anna maAAa Allahi alihatanokhra qul la ashhadu qul innama huwa ilahunwahidun wa-innanee baree-on mimma tushrikoona
619 Say "Which is the greatest testimony?" Say "God is witness between me and you, and He has inspired to me this Qur'an that I may warn you with it and whoever it reaches, that you are bearing witness that with God are other gods!" Say "I do not bear witness!" Say "He is only One god, and I am innocent of what you have set up!" -

Our missed friend Pazuzu wrote something about that. Here is the thread

I think Pazuzu explanation which amounts to what Kashif says, is much shorter, much clearer, and quite efficient and gives more intresting data. It is not something new either. It is rather a common understanding, although it coexists with the "The God" conception.
Proably it does not change that much, because at any rate the idea of God in each person is what it is no matter what the etimological factors may be.

I noticed you guys miss this Pazuzu, what is it that you guys respect him so much?

Look for his posts.
He dis a great job in bringing to the fore questions like some Qur'an identities, like pharao or locations. He wrote several books for free with thorough studies on Sulayman and the Queen of Saba, Yusuf and Musa an the country they lived in.
Unfortunately when the flat earth and he met, he defended flat earth and I am afraid, by doing that he felt he lost the respect he had won with other very important questions and excelent work.
Of course, as it is abundantly clear from the way we miss him and. He did not loose any respect at all. We all are likely to make blunders, and nobody is obliged to be right in absolutely everything, neither him nor anybody else. I do hope he is on something else important withthis unique knowledge and talent.

Problem is, Alif-Lam-Heh is not a root. The word is a combination of AL + Heh and the famous article AL is from a root called Alif-Lam-Lam which is also used to construct which is the full root of AL plus the Heh letter. It has a double functionality like saying "the (of) the who/he/she", speaking of one's "Being". Sadly the word has entered the realm of a fabricated religion unfortunately and become the part of such doctrine.

Being? Like some sort energy?
Perhaps the integrity of a being could be referred to as energy, but it is more like a phenomenon to us since energy is usually measurable in some way. But the best way of measuring one's being is to observe a person's doings. The topic can be relatively complex to discuss. The easiest way of describing it is talking about the mental awareness/consciousness of a person, the independently strong mind. My concept of this involves that man has two main components of themselves, the mind and the body, and the body is something distinct from the mind, but attached like a parasite to the mind for as long as we are alive on this Earth. Our mind is not equal to the body and your mind is the real you, but the body is like an animal being attached to your mind, which gives you influenced/biased thoughts and this is the phenomenon often called Satan in religion. Satan = what makes us animals, Satan is of the bodily. Your very body is Satan, you could say, but you should not treat it any different from an animal, just be its master. Either Satan rules over you or you rule over Satan/the body.

Briefly yes, but it is nothing which I agree with.
