Which are the sacred months
-
intrestingly there were lot of calendar systems from time to time
even in pre-history buildings there is a method of calculating days and years
finally the 365 days calendar system overtakes every culture and they stick to follow this willingly or unwillingly surprisingly if i m not wrong the day in sungular form repeated 365 times in quran.coming back to language ,the international products what we see in markets are always highlight their text with english and arabic although english is international language and thats why main religions translated their scriptures in english i ll start a new thread on the very intresting finding what i experienced few days ago about the language of main religious scriptures
The problem with those translations is that most of them or nearly all of them are made by sects and groups who wish to "correct" other translations and translate the "true meaning". I already gave up, i don't want to rely my whole life on translations. I know i won't get the whole 100% of the message if i don't start learning the language. It's like i am reading what the translator wants me to read.

In 2018 we will witness 13 ashhur -full moons
2 in Jan,
none in Feb,
2 in March,
and 1 in each of the remaining 9 calendar months.4 of the 13 full moons are sacred
or rather forbiddden as fighting is forbidden in them (92),
and as fighting will start again when they are over (95).One of the 4 full moons is the time when the Great Pilgrimage was performed (93),
so DhulHijjah is a forbidden full moon.Accordingly, the 4 forbidden full moons are
- Shahr Ramadan (scorching, time of fasting)
- Shahr DhulHijjah (muslim pilgrimage)
3.Shahr Rajab (respect for peace)
4.Sahr DhulKaadah (sitting in peace)
In 2018
they are28 June
27 July
26 August
25 September.Peace,
Hasan AkcayHow do we know when the four sacred months arrive?

How do we know when the four sacred months arrive?
The longest daytime is familiar to us all.
When we observe the longest daytime,
we know that soon afterwards the scorching ful moon (shahr ramadan) will rise,
which is the first forbidden full moon. Please refer to Ayman's article

I can understand that we can observe when the longest daytime is. It's in summer somewhere, if i am correct. In winter we have the smallest daytime if i am correct.
But where does the Quran say that Ramadan begins when the longest day is at hand?

You must know that ramadan means hot,
so shahr ramadan is one of the hot full moons of hot summer.Paragraph from Ayman's article
We also know that the whole context of chapter 9... is about fighting the idolaters who broke their treaty. A sign in verse 981 indicates that the time of a particularly big fight that the hypocrites were fearful from was a hot time of the year. Shortly afterwards, 986 talks about a chapter descending at that time and from 2185 we know that "shahr ramadhan" is when the great reading was descended so that provides an additional link between "shahr ramadhan" and "al-shahr al-haram". Hence, circumstantial evidence from the great reading supports that "al-shahr al-haram"/"shahr ramadhan" is a hot time of the year and confirms the dictionary's meaning.

I don't have much knowledge on this subject.
But what do you think about the calendar the majority uses now? Ramadan keeps coming in a different period of the time. Sometimes we fast in winter, and sometimes in summer.

The calendar the majority uses now is based on the 365-day solar year
and that is what the word sanah (year) stands for in the Quran.Ramadan keeps coming 11 days EARLIER than the former
because it is not real ramadan, it is false ramadan.
The real ramadan up in the sky comes 19 days LATER after the 13th full moon.Times of 2018's full moons (https//www.timeanddate.com/calendar/?year=2018&country=74)

2 Jan-31 Jan-2 Mar- 31 Mar-30 Apr-29 May-28 Jun-27 Jul-26 Aug-25 Sep-24 Oct-23 Nov- 22 DecIt is obvious that 2019's first moon will come 19 days LATER than 2018's first moon
because 2018's 13th moon will delay it.The false moons of the 12-moon lunar year
have been made up
by means of postponment ( in 937) ON PAPER of the 13th moon.I say ON PAPER
because man has no call and no power to actually postpone it
as he cannot reach up to the sky and move it from where it is.The real ramadan is fixed in its time in terms of season;
that is, it always comes in the beginning of hot summer.
That was probably why it was given the name shahr ramadan - scorching full moon.Peace,

Why 13 full moons? A full year is 12 months?
Lunar month (represented by waxing crescent, full moon, waning crescent, etc) is one thing,
calendar month is another;
they are not similar let alone the same.Lunar months (e,g. full moons) are created by God, they are up in the sky, and each one of them represents 29.5 days
but calendar months are man-made, they are ON PAPER called calendar, and they change in length from 29 to 31 days. You had better not mix them up.
SANAH (year) according to the Quran is the time that the earth takes to rotate once around the sun;
there are sometimes 12 lunar moths (e,g 12 full moons) in it, sometimes 13, like in this year of 2018.Lunar months (e,g full moons) do not make the year,
they make the series of full moons ( in 936). -

-
Well, don't the Arabs and Jews follow a lunar calendar?
Jews do not follow the pure lunar year,
they folow a luni-solar yearSince the sum of 12 lunar months is about 11 days shorter than a solar year, a leap month is added every 2 to 3 years, or 7 times in a 19-year cycle. Leap months are meant to keep the calendar in step with the astronomical seasons and make sure that the religious observances occur at the correct time of year, as mentioned in the Torah. (https//www.timeanddate.com/calendar/jewish-calendar.html)
As for the Arabs, they do follow the pure lunar year in our time
but that lunar year does not have a sense of time because it does not have seasons,
so the Arabs cannot answer "According to the lunar year what season was I born?"The only year system which Allah approves of is the solar year. The Quran provides proofs of this, one of which is 105*.

I don't understand it.
You used a formula to find out when the full moons will be. Can't that formula be used in a lunar calendar type?
Can you take your time if that what you say is really true. I don't have any knowledge about basic science. So i am willing to be patience, if it makes sense.
