    Peace Apple Pie,

The Holy Bible consists of 66 books.

Khi- Wht abt the six apocalypical books of the Bible which the Catholics regard as belonging 2 the Bible?

    39 from the OT.

    27 from the NT.

The Holy Bible contains both Jewish and Christian scriptures.

The message throughout the Holy Bible is that Jesus is God Almighty.

Khi- This is completely wrong. The OT never makes such a claim at all but even in the NT we NEVER find any statment where Jesus said tht he is GOD or where he says Worship me. None of the four gospels in the NT claim tht Jesus was GOD in any sense. The OT is also the scriptures of the Jews. If tht mentioned Jesus as being Divine y dont the Jews accept him 2 be so? Jesus' Divinity is a doctrine made up after his death by the Nicene Council. Jehova's Witnesses n Unitarians also believe in the complete Bible yet they utterly reject Jesus being GOD. This is nothing but a false, absurd n illogical interpretation made up by trinitarians.

The above description also fits the Koran?.it also contains both Jewish and Christian scriptures?and the message throughout the Koran is that Jesus is God Almighty?

Khi- The Quran unlike the Bible is NOT a COMPILATION of scriptures. It is ONE Scripture. In the Bible u refer like Book of z chpter x verse y while in Quran u refer only chpter x verse y. N the Message in the Quran is totally the opposite as u claim. Read this verse carefully
Pagans/Rejectors/Unbelievers indeed are those who say that GOD is the Messiah, the son of Mary. Say, "Who could oppose GOD if He willed to annihilate the Messiah, son of Mary, and his mother, and everyone on earth?" To GOD belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them. He creates whatever He wills. GOD is Omnipotent.
This verse makes it clear tht according 2 Quran anyone who claims Jesus is GOD is a Kaafir an unbeliever, a rejector, a pagan. It cant get any clearer than tht. GOD Bless!

      Salam mmkhan,

What is Bible? I heard from a Christain friend of mine saying that Bible is a recording of Jesus sayings and doings. Is that correct?

Khi- No tht is not correct. The Bible is a COMPILATION of various scriptures thght of 2 be Divine. Some of them were indeed originally Divine as per name but not necessary as written out n inserted in the Bible. It is divided into Old Testament, containing the Jewish scriptures also accepted by Christians n New Testamant containing the Christian scriptures not accepted by Jews. The word 'Bible' is never 2 be found in itself n thus there is no statement of its approval. Jesus saying r supposedly recorded in the Gospels of Jesus by Mark, Mathew, Luke n John. The original Gospel of Jesus by himself aint there at all in the Bible. Wht sense does it make 2 have four gospels of the same person accounted by four different ppl? Jesus came with one message thus one Gospel n tht Gospel is known as 'Injeel' in the Quran. The 'Taurah' as mentioned in the Quran does not include all of the OT either but only the five books of Moses, the original of which is not present either.

It is recorded by the followers of Jesus after him.

Khi- Yes indeed it was recorded after him, many yrs after him in different accounts which makes the situation ll the more confusing.

It can be true because... AlQuraan is still called AlQuraan and Taurah is still called Taurah. Then how come Injeel is called Bible?

Khi- 'Injeel' as i mentioned earlier is NOT the Bible but the Gospel of Jesus which int there in the Bible at all.

I think that Injeel is something else and Bible is the Hadiths for Prophet Jesus.

Khi- Injeel is the Gospel of Jesus as originally revealed 2 him. The four so called Gospels of Jesus in the Bible r just like hadith u r right in tht. GOD Bless!

Jesus' Divinity is a doctrine made up after his death by the Nicene Council.

Then this must have also had an impact on the authors of the Koran as they also granted Jesus full divinity.

Jehova's Witnesses n Unitarians also believe in the complete Bible yet they utterly reject Jesus being GOD. This is nothing but a false, absurd n illogical interpretation made up by trinitarians.

The authors of the Koran understood the concept of the Trinity and that Jesus is God Almighty?

          I?m not Catholic.

Khi- I didnt say u were. My statemnet was general. Wht i meant is tht those books were once accepted part of the Bible n then the evangelists removed it. 2morrow maybe some other parts of the Bible will be removed too. It already happened with 1 John 57 too.

Islam 101 right on cue?and your reply emanates from an individual who confesses to never having studyied the original languages of scriptures?

Khi- More gobbledygook. The Jews know the OT better than u do. There r many scholars among them. None of them agree tht theres even the slightest hint of Jesus' divinity in the OT.

Actually they all do?.just as the Koran also does?

          Khi- Show us where.

Probably for the same reason that they deny that he is the Messiah, while Muslims adamantly confirm that He is the Messiah? wink

Khi- Well then tht makes the Muslims right. Confirming tht Jesus is the Messiah has nothing 2 do with him being divine.

Then this must have also had an impact on the authors of the Koran as they also granted Jesus full divinity.

Khi- No they didnt as ive shown many times over.

The authors of the Koran understood the concept of the Trinity and that Jesus is God Almighty?

Khi- The Quran surely understood the concept of trinity n utterly denied it as false n blasphemous.

          What is your hang-up???

          Oh yeah?.you don?t understand Arabic?.that?s right?.

You don?t even understand what ?thumma? means?

Khi- Mere accusations while ive presented so much evidence.

          Dead wrong.

The word specifically means a collection of scriptures.

If you bothered to study classic Arabic then you would have already known this.

Khi- The Quran is ONE Book(kitaab) n It also refers Itself as such. Wht u might be referring 2 is 'suhoof' meaning more like 'pages' or parts of a book. The Bible is a compilation of different books.

It is a collection of Jewish and Christian scriptures ? both OT & NT along with a healthy helping of heretical scriptures to boot?

Khi- It is one complete Book(al-kitaab).

Sura and ayah segregation are artificial.

Khi- Maybe those in the Bible. Anyway my pt was 2 show tht the Bible is a compilation of different Books while the Quran is One Book Only. Moreover the sura n ayah segregation in the Quran is Divinely Inspired as has been shown through code-19 mathematical pattern.

I?ll make the same offer to you as I have all the others.

Show me the Arabic words that are giving you difficulty.

          Khi- No prob, lemme transliterate

            Quote

Khi- It is one complete Book(al-kitaab).

            Wrong again.

Let?s review the definition for ?the Book??.

            = ?alkitabu?

            ?alkitabu? definition

Lane references sura 22 in his definition

Thalika alkitabu la rayba feehi hudan lilmuttaqeena

That The Book no doubt/suspicion in it, (it is) guidance to the fearing and obeying. (22)

?That is the book, or scripture?; as though combining in itself the excellences of all other books or scriptures; or meaning that is preeminently the book, or scripture. The Pentateuch or Mosaic Law; and the Gospel, or Book of the Gospels; the Scriptures of the Jews and Christians. Divine prescript, appointment, or ordinance; judgment, or sentence; fatal decree or predestination.

            References
            An Arabic-English Lexicon, E.W. Lane, volume one, p. 74; volume seven, p. 2590

Thus?.it is painfully clear that the Koran is no more than a collection of mainly Biblical material that has been translated from Biblical Hebrew & Greek into Arabic?

            Quote

Sura and ayah segregation are artificial.

Khi- Maybe those in the Bible. Anyway my pt was 2 show tht the Bible is a compilation of different Books while the Quran is One Book Only.

            Where have you been??

The Holy Bible is a compilation of Jewish and Christian scriptures just as the Koran is a compilation of Jewish and Christian scriptures.

You need to wake up to reality one of these days?.

Moreover the sura n ayah segregation in the Quran is Divinely Inspired as has been shown through code-19 mathematical pattern.

First it was frank, frank, frank?..now its code 19, code 19, code 19?

I already showed you (and you affirmed) that the holy grail of code 19?.which is 19.19 speaks about the divinity of Jesus Christ.

Sorry to inform you that the human hands that penned the Koran were not divinely inspired. They were just translating Biblical Hebrew and Greek into Arabic?

            Khi- No prob, lemme transliterate
'LAQAD(indeed) KAFARALLAZINA(pagans/unbelievers/rejectors r those) qaalu(saying) INALLAHA(indeed GOD) HUWAL(He is the) MASSIHU(Messiah) IBNU MARIYAM(son of Mary)...' so we clearly see tht those who say Jesus the Messiah son of Mary is GOD r rejecting/blaspheming pagans. GOD Bless!

Latin transliteration is not showing us the Arabic words.

Show us the Arabic words that you are transliterating?and the classic meaning behind them?.

            Unless?of course?you are not a serious believer?.

            Take care?

                Greetings truth,

                Thanks for your reply?

What you have shown in the examples in the quote below is how the word "Jesus" was substituted for God in christian scriptures. That's all.

                Now?this is interesting?

You have just acknowledged that Jesus is the equivalent of God, as His name has been used interchangeably with God.

Now?you are beginning to understand the concept of the Holy Trinity.

                Most excellent?.!

                  Salaam ApplePie,

Albiet it is obvious you do not even have knowledge of the Bible and confuse Biblical concepts with man made concepts. You are trying to apply these concepts, which you will not find in the Bible at all, to the quran. Your whole argument is thus baseless because the quran is not from the Bible you are purporting. You know nothing of the Bible and I doubt you are even a Christian. I'm sick of your antics, attributing lies to the Bible, and then the quran. Then as Oben has pointed out you erroneously substitute Jesus for God.

                  Joe

P.S. Jesus does NOT know the hour as it is clearly said in the Bible. Otherwise you explain the inherent contradiction ApplePie.

Concerning that day and hour NOBODY knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor THE SON, but ONLY THE FATHER.

A revelation by Jesus Christ, which GOD GAVE HIM, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented in signs through him to his slave John,

                      Greetings Joe,

                      Thanks for your comments?

Albiet it is obvious you do not even have knowledge of the Bible and confuse Biblical concepts with man made concepts.

                      Now?where would this be Joe??

You are trying to apply these concepts, which you will not find in the Bible at all, to the quran.

I have shown you otherwise, Joe?

Please feel completely free to verify for yourself as truth?

Your whole argument is thus baseless because the quran is not from the Bible you are purporting.

The authors who penned the Koran state otherwise?

You know nothing of the Bible and I doubt you are even a Christian.

You would be wrong on both counts?

I'm sick of your antics, attributing lies to the Bible, and then the quran.

                      I speak only verifiable truth?

Perhaps this is what has made you so angry? wink

Then as Oben has pointed out you erroneously substitute Jesus for God.

                      I substituted nothing.

This is what the scriptures state.

The only substitution has occurred in the Koran?.where the authors who penned it have attempted to wrap the (prior pagan Arab god ?allah?) with deity previously ascribed unto Jesus?!

P.S. Jesus does NOT know the hour as it is clearly said in the Bible. Otherwise you explain the inherent contradiction ApplePie.

Concerning that day and hour NOBODY knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor THE SON, but ONLY THE FATHER.

Observe the 12 examples that I gave you.

They are all from the Book of Revelation.

The vantage point in this Book is described emanating from Heaven.

Thus, it is abundantly clear that Jesus is indeed God Almighty who reigns in Heaven?and He indeed knows the hour?

                      Take care?

                          Salaam Apple,

And?.we already know that Jesus is God?as His divinity is interchangeable through-out the whole book?

LOL, divinity is never applied to Jesus throughout the scripture . We already know God is a term used to refer to any person holding authority or representing God or any idol . This is prevalent throughout the scripture .

                          Now?where would this be Joe??

Read the statement you quoted and you would not have asked such an assinine question. Go ahead read it again and maybe you'll pick up on it.

The authors who penned the Koran state otherwise?

No they do not. You add meanings to words that should not be there. That is why you come up with these wild ideas.

You would be wrong on both counts?

I beg to differ. ) It's clear you have renounced Jesus by crying lies to him.

                          I speak only verifiable truth?

Perhaps this is what has made you so angry?

The blind can verify what is false simply because they will try ignore all evidence to the contrary which you have clearly done. shock

Where the righteous progress in understanding you fumble and fall into the pile of lies about you .

This is what the scriptures state.

No, it is really what you state in contrast to the Bible.

Observe the 12 examples that I gave you.

I will refrain from explaining your examples to you until you can explain me the contradiction between your citations and mine in Mt 2436.

Apple Pie Muhammad is not in the Qur'an

Various FM members Yes he is,

                                    Peace Apple Pie,

Jesus knows the hour?.allah knows the hour

                                    Hour, Koran 1677
                                    Hour, Book of Revelation (33, 310, 915, 1113, 147, 1415, 1712, 1810, 1817, 1819)

Khi- This is absolutely wrong. Jesus does NOT know the hour according 2 the Bible

                                    Matthew 2436 (New International Version)
?No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but ONLY the FATHER.

Some manuscripts do not contain the phrase 'nor the son' but this only shows further inconsistency n we see how sometimes the argument is over crucial phrases missing. However even without tht Jesus clearly said tht ONLY HIS FATHER knew it. Since the father is a separate person even acording 2 Trinitarians it wld make no sense 4 Jesus 2 say tht ONLY HIS FAHER knew it if he himself knew it also. Then he wld have said 'only GOD knew it'. So it is clear tht Jesus did not know the hour. Btw u r referring from the Book od revelation which is considered doubtful by many Christian theologians anyway. U shld have quoted from the four gospels. GOD Bless!

                                          Peace all,

Very often when two sides are debating with eachother... it's just a big demonstration of the "home-team syndrome"... the "us-and-them perspective".

Without sincere seeking for knowledge and bravery of risking beeing wrong... debates turn into totally useless, "parallel monologues", such as this thread.

If your mind is made up - it's made up... and nothing will change it. No reason, exposure to truth or proof will work.
Further, proofs and evidence can be anything the debater likes. Usually the two debaters throw opposing proofs at eachother... just creating more mess.

Once upon a time, I was told by a nice s.c. convert muslim that I should check Islam out, and I'll find it's the real thing. I though to my self - "yeah, yeah, how can islam be right.. christianity is much older, and therefor must be more correct, simply since it came first" . . . that was how I was thinking.. not very intelligent. Actually, I didn't really believe that christiany was better or more true... I was just becoming defensive and I chose to mentally side with what was most familiar to me at that time. I wasn't thinking much at all.

Later though, I developed a completely new perspective... pretty much "identical" to main the ideas you find here on free-minds. I find it silly to see how people defend things out of ignorance... but I know how... even I did once to some degree.

If I realise that a debate is going nowhere... I prefer to leave it as soon as possible.... although I admit I sometimes do like to keep on throwing arguments back at the opponent since I "know" I'm true. I have a big problem with people following things that are obviously logically false.

A hint to ApplePie Your attempts to falsify quranic islam will reach NOWHERE here on this forum. It's just no use.

A question to ApplePie Which is most important... to be a christian or to follow the truth?? If christiany is true.. then congratulations to you.... but if it is NOT, then wouldn't you like to find the truth?? Is it more important to keep up with cultural traditions than to boldly seek the truth, (without preconceived opinions and a pre-established truth)???

Isn't truth most important WHATEVER it turns out to be???!???

When looking for the truth we MUST NOT already have a picture of it in our mind. We will always see what we want to see. We kind of create our own truths, deceiving our selves.

Peace to ApplePie, Damon and all
