Quran is very clear that heart has its functions.. Quran never said that heart pumps blood.. Does that mean we don't accept science or the extreme reality that heart pumps blood.. Of course heart pumps blood.. But Quran has given the priority to heart for many human functions.. That you are not in a position to accept..
They may transplant anythjng they want if technology improves.. Perhaps exception brain for that matter entire head.. . If they are capable to do it that would be the ultimate victory of human being...Anyhow let me stick to topic.. I am not someone against sience dude.. Natural heart transplant is being taking place on this earth for years.. And it is to some extent successful.. So that cannot deny the fact what Quran speaks of about heart.. Agree?When it comes to artificial heart transplant it is one of the weakest transplant of body organs.. It us temporary and until any donor gives green signal..
Just go through the procedure.. If you have already then observe well.. We don't see entire 100% of heart is removed during artificial transplant . We never know which part of heart is directly connected with brain for thinking loving emotions and evil etc etc.. Pumping blood is main concerns of doctors while transplanting.. So they do that part successfully.. That's what called weak heart.. Unable to pump blood for various reasons.. That's what doctors trying to rectify.. Not the other functions of entire heart.. Just confirm with animated video or live artificial heart transplant. No it is only part of heart..
Again I reiterate for others .. Heart is not brain in Quran... Heart is an organ which is situated in left side of one's chest...lol.. If one says that is not what Allah meant by qalb then I doubt what else he would understand by QURAN..
Allah has not given any human being two hearts.. Agree? So one.. But when it comes to brain we definitely have two brains atleast but science may say two to four.. So.. Heart is the one Allah talks about which is one qalb ..Quran says they speak from their mouth as believers but belief is not yet reached to their hearts...
So what helps to speak.. Of course brain commands.. But what makes you determined and full of intent. That's heart..
Quran says Allah won't mind what you just say but Allah definitly mind what our hearts intend. -

Peace jkhan, yes sure, in the most common type of artificial heart , atriums arent mechanical, i mean atriums are natural atriums. But that doesnt mean that atriums thinks or have emotions, otherwise as i said the cinderella would become joker rotfl , go ask a doctor ,what will happen if someones limbic system injured in in car crash and etc, i am not here to know that heart think or not. I never rejected that it can mean this, but for me its seems that the author really thinks mind=heart center of emotions=chest, because function of brain and even for word it i think never mentioned in Quran, there isnt any clue to know that the author used this experssions in the same way we use it today.(i mentioned it earlier in my 2nd comment about your comment i think), thats why people like brother jkhan and brother good logic and so many other people says that quran says people really think by their heart,

From what I gather here most are saying the same as you.
Of course the brain does the thinking ,in the case of both the artificial and real heart. What some scientist are saying is that the real heart can influence the thinking of the brain.
What happens if in the future some brain transplant takes place? Do you think the function will be equal to the real brain?Yet the body may survive and does certain tasks?Qoran also says we are two in one body.. You and your companion.Has science discovered the soul inside the body? Or do you think it is only a metaphor?

Yes brother the science is developing, but this is proven that we doesnt think with our heart, if someone in a book says that humans think by their hairs, its not correct to say that science is developing and this may be true. Same for heart

(And its better to say that in the beginning we were nothing, then atoms and go on.)

The thinking organ in living beings referred to in this verse is called the brain. Pretty clear and precise. And it is clear who these creatures are. This verse says that the organs of thinking in creatures created for testing are at forehead level.
In short, the Qur'an clearly states that the thinking organ is the brain.

How do we think?We can correlate brain activity with thinking, but we are a long way from fully answering this question.This is known as the problem of ‘intentionality’.

Don't give examples which has no sense.. We have a concerned organ and named organ in Quran that is heart.. That's why we raise questions.. Not the fingers.. Again read all heart verses.. It may give all of you some crucial viewpoint..Science is ever evolving.. They never make their final decison.. They keep researching.. That's why I never compare quran with science.. It is a personal choice.. Accepting God in life is personal choice and thus believing in Quran augments it.. This belief cannot go further if you drag science with you..
One day in my office what human created made our life much comfortable than what God created.. Without human's creations and technology science life would be so hard.. That looks true if you look at in an angle....

Try to look in natural eyes as well not in on scientific eyes always..
For example.. I saw a huge fish tail.. Scientist would say.. No.. It is a mammal tail.. It is whale..
I saw some big birds flying in the distance horizon.. .. No they are bats.. Some mammals flying..Trust science.. If you have knowledge on it.. If you have verified.. Fine.. No issues.. Suppose one would say there is a brain in stomach.. New research has found.. Just don't accept all of a sudden.. Just study and verify.. Who knows there may be..
You can't accept Quran until science proves it is right.. It would be too late..

When i was reading quran, i noticed that in all of the quran thinking is related to heart(qalb) not brain, above all the 2246 says that this qalb are in chests(sadr) what is the explanation here? Does it means that Quran says that source of thinking is heart?(which is not) the answers in internet arent convincing, some of them says that Science is wrong and quran is correct and we dont accept the science ,and some of them copy pasted an article that says heart have 40000 neurons and it can think(honestly if you show this article to any medical doctor or college professor she/he will just laugh to you)

Since Mahdi has brought the verse 2246. Let's consider grammar in 2246 .. According corpus.quran ..heart is feminine.. If we take it as something else like knowledge or intellect or whatever then does the grammar suit to it..
Coz it continues as Bi-Ha (with it /feminine) and allathi / feminine... If you don't take it literally you all have to answer many more questions based on Quran..
