Now you are getting serious. Wha you say is partially it. Only partially, because you still make the blunder of taking all males as a single piece. They are not a single piece. There are males, men, able to appreciate women for something else than the advantage they entail for them, and who, to protect women or to protect themselves must stand against other men, who ONLY see the advantages they can get from women in exchange for as little or nothing they can get away with. Those former men are not like the latter, not at all. The laws and the customs during centuries and even now support consistently the latter men as the standard of maleness, while they punish the former, because if the standard had been the former men, most probably there would never have been a need to long for a wome's lib, and that is what I mean when I say with womens lib what was done was the wrong way, trying to make women as beastly as men and not men as non beastly as women. It is self evident, that women cannot compete with men when it comes to beastlyness, because physiologically they don't have the means, therefore the bargain for women and for upright men is a loosing one, and therfore will attract larger number of men to the beastly field instead of to the decent field. So it is not a battle of the sexes, but of the predators against the preys and those who really have the balls (men or women) to stand to the predators. And please do not bring the argument that women do the same because they don't, they can't, not in significant numbers. When they can and they do, then it can be brought up. Now it would be a sneaky way of sidestepping issues large enough to include everybody.

I know that most of us are 'free-mind'
However I wanna know to what extent do the men here are 'supposedly' free-mind..esp concerning women.
As we all know,many women are oppressed by traditionalists..and your views to my question can have high impact on how women are regarded nowadays..

I say let our sisters do what they want as long as they do not transgress God's limits for there should be no compromise on this aspect in our lives. if they are believers, they sure know what they are doing; they would know that they will be accountable to God & to their fellow men. besides as believers, satan >D would have no jedi power over them.
what are we to do men? we should be flexible & be helpful around the house & in other aspects of our lives together (as husband & wife and/or as members of a family).

I'm kind of late in this topic but I voted for the first one.. obviously... because I believe that Allah does not judge us on whether we are male or female so why should we not be equal? However, as some of you have said, part of the reason that women's "liberation" has not gone well is because they don't really want to be equal, they want special treatment.
Growing up in a house where I rarely saw my father because of his work, I really think that this society should get used to "stay at home" Dads, but I know that this may never happen. A father who stays at home while the mother works would be called lazy, or a scrounger because he's not "pulling his weight" even if he's cooking, cleaning and looking after the kids. But women who stay at home have their own profession- housewife- and she's praised, as long as she cooks, cleans, look after the kids AND her husband when he comes home late from the office.So what can you do?
