The problem with this thread is that it is judging people as groups. Everyone is judged individually. Every individual is responsible for their own actions.

You can't bunch people into groups and hold everyone in that group responsible for a member's actions.

God was wrong to do it, then.

What if among all the bad jews there were a few jews who were good? Boy did they get the shaft.

If you are a member of the forum on faithfreedom.org (as I know some members of FM have been), would you like it if I bunched you together with all the far right racists on that messageboard? I don't think so.

It's a glaring error in the quran, unless it is being misinterpreted, which I think it is. I think you have to redefine what the word "jew" means in the quran.
If it's being interpreted correctly then the quran would contain a contradiction because god is not supposed to commit such logical fallacies.

262 Surely those who acknowledge, and those who are Jewish, and the Nazarenes, and those who follow other religions, any one of them who acknowledge God and the Last day, and do reform, they will have their reward with their Lord, with no fear over them, nor will they grieve.

5 69 "Those who acknowledge, those who are Jewish, those who are the followers of other religions, and the Nazarenes? Whoever acknowledges God and the Last day and does good works, then they will have nothing to fear nor will they grieve."

i think some ayaths focus on the "common belief" when addressing a general society, but above ayaths prove that all the people are not put in the same basket. so i think it not just wrong but also against Quran to say otherwise.

No, God aknowledged rigtheous people among the jews

3113They are not all the same, from the people of the Scripture are a nation that is upright; they recite God?s revelations during the night and they prostrate.
3114 They believe in God and the Last Day and order kindness and deter from evil, and they hasten in goodness; these are of the righteous ones.

3199 And from the people of the Scripture are those who believe in God and what was sent down to you and what was sent down to them; fearful to God, they do not purchase with God?s revelations a cheap price. These will have their reward with their Lord. God is quick in reckoning.

Only with the Jews who rejected him and follow the Rabbinical mysticism. Remember that God sent Jesus as a messenger to the Jews. Mat. 1524
The Pharisees hoped Jesus was their son of David. When it was told to them in no uncertain terms Jesus was the Messiah, sent for the lost Children of Isreal, they never spoke of it again. And they plotted to slay Jesus to prevent the breaking of the Covenant. Mat. 2241-46, John 1149-54

God told us who would enter Paradise, be they Jew, Christian, or Sabian. Surah 262

There are non-Rabbinical Jews, Unitarian Christians, and believers in Al-Islam. Again, let us not throw the baby out with the bathwater.

I have friends who are Scriptural Unitarians. They too worship God and only God, and follow the teachings of Jesus. It affords many opportunities for us to share our belief in God, and insha'Allah, they too will come to Al-Islam.

They already have started to read the Quran. D

              Peace and blessings.

                Salaam,

If white people started it - and make no mistake, with the help of a few puppets of color - why have people of color chosen to continue it when we can take advantage of our numbers and "rage against the machine" once and for all?

We CANNOT keep pointing the finger at white people alone. Simply put it's passe.

                Ma'salaama,
                T.

                Salaam

In the past there were few puppets but now there is unlimited supply of coloured puppets ready to sell their soul for a miserable price.

Satan is made of fire nor white nor coloured.

Surely22. And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colours verily in that are Signs for those who know.
                peace

                  Peace all

We are all people of colour .when has white been classed as not a colour?

With respect to race as a social construct, the term "people of color" is commonly used to refer to people who are not of European descent, and has its roots in the U.S. Civil Rights movement.

Those in power want to keep the majority divided and use all kinds of tricks to do this .

This was my point about neo-colonialism and neo-imperialism. Once Operation Divide and Conquer was set in place, neo-colonialism and neo-imperialism was able to move ahead full-steam; and it's still going strong without any promise of slowing down.

With the existence of neo-colonialism and neo-imperialsim, white people are no longer the only "bad guys". If the finger is going to be pointed at white people, then the finger needs to be pointed at everyone.

No one can play the victim anymore just because they weren't born into the dominant paradigm of race/class/gender/religion/whatever. All of us are capable of oppressing someone while we are being oppressed.

Which goes back to my last point. It's passe to put the focus/blame soley on white people (i.e., people of European descent from the perspective of race as a social construct).

I personally am sick of victim mentality.

By the way, Australia wasnt exactly ethnically cleansed like in the Americas. The European settlers just took the land and marginalized the aboriginals.

In my opinion though, the problem wasnt with Europeans. It was with Catholicism. Wherever Catholics went there was destruction and death. While the Orthodox Eastern Europeans didnt do anything.

We are talking about racial supremacy I believe not religious divide because even Muslims too butchered one another and others with different beliefs.

                            Peace Raging Gaijin,

You can always tell who works for the deceiver and who works for the All Mighty, Lord of the worlds. Doesn't matter how hard you try to veil it, this thread is racism. I'm watching to see who takes the side of 'Kill Whitey' and who follows God.

In my opinion, this thread isn't about racism; it's about history and culturalism, especially cultural dominance. The "white people" just happened to fall into the group that dominates other cultures and nations. If the Africans and Arabs were doing it to the degree that the Europeans were, then they'd be the ones being mentioned here, not Europeans. But that's not the case...

                            Peace Jankren,

In my opinion though, the problem wasnt with Europeans. It was with Catholicism. Wherever Catholics went there was destruction and death. While the Orthodox Eastern Europeans didnt do anything.

I agree with you, to an extent. But Catholics built their society as a "religious" white supremacist group, completely dominating other races and cultures, even if the other nations professed the same Christian belief system... Plus, this form of cultural dominance was going on before the spread of Catholicism, even before the time of Jesus. According to the Biblical Gospels, the Romans ("white people&quot were already trying to completely take over the Middle East and northern Africa, already holding a firm position in Jerusalem, Yemen, and Egypt. By the time Jesus was born, the Romans were already in control, trying to take over the world...

                            Peace,

The "settlers" of Australia are no less evil than the "settlers" of the Americas. Colonialism is colonialism.

I feel our past and present social problems have more than one source. Compartmentalizing issues only makes them one-dimensional.

Peace be unto you, brothers and sisters,

I just think it extremely odd on a forum that deals with the Quran and God and following Him, to find blatant racism so prevelant, especially when the Quran says all are equal. pr

                                  Surah 3195, 4124, 1697, 3336-37, 4040, 4913
                                  Surah 2213, 607-8

Instead of pointing the finger, why not discuss solutions that can be worked in our own communities and households?

You find out pretty quick who follows God's Word and who doesn't by the fruit of their work. Surah 28-9

                                  hmm

                                  Peace and blessings.

I wouldn't say it is racism but wrong wording. The question should have been what WAS it about white people. It is not directly because they were white, but isn't this the teaching in the old testament when it told the story of Noah, and how God cursed his son (and his descendants thereafter) to be black? So black is a curse and a marker for infidelity.
Now the white acknowledged this mistake and kept the church and its teachings away from politics, or disowned it altogether. I hope this would be the lesson we learn, stick to what God says and not be afraid of questioning every aspect of how our system had been interpreted; and treat the past generations (whites, arabs, couloured, non coloured) as God advises us
"That was a nation who passed away, they will earn their reward and you yours, and you will not be asked what they did" 2134; 2141
unless they continue with their mistakes. What we see now is non-whites, non christians doing this without any justification other than their satanic arrogance that they were created from a more noble ingredient. . We should stand firm against them even if , or especially, when they are "muslims", and not just jump to "Western conspiracy against Islam, or/ and white vs black/non white". Unfortunately, this is what I am listening to from various arabs and muslims regarding the indictment of the president of Sudan for his war crimes and crimes against humanity in Darfur (Sudan). I hope this does not derail the topic. This last part is discussed somewhere else

The problem with this thread is that it is judging people as groups. Everyone is judged individually. Every individual is responsible for their own actions.

You can't bunch people into groups and hold everyone in that group responsible for a member's actions.

Excellent words. And it's also wrong for White people to feel guilty about what White people did in the past. Today's White people didn't enslave Black people, colonize India, etc. and so they've no reason to feel guilty or apologetic. They've no reason to be proud of the achievements of White people either. I think it's silly for people to be patriotic because you've no reason to be proud of being a citizen of a certain country. The only things you can have logical reasons to be proud of are the things you help achieve.

                                        hi.
if something is to be blamed, it is the action, not the races / societies.
your argument may lead to very very wrong directions.
i think it is best to delete this topic and re-ask the question, just pointing the slavery.

                                        Peace,
                                        Respectfully.

                                        I agree.
We must remind each other that it is the actions not only of the people that should be blamed, if they are wrong, but the actions of the individual, if i may say so.

Serbs have executed over half a million Bosniaks but i have had friends Serbs and back in Slovenia several of my neighbors are Serbs, totally harmless. True, some are hostile but those that are harmless, are also potential Muslims, only God guides whoever He wants, remember?

We have a seed for hate and a seed for love. Which one will we develope?
Because once you develope it, that seed becomes a strong oak that can't be removed. I think.

                                        God knows best.
                                        Glory be to our God.
                                        Peace.

I personally am sick of victim mentality.

By the way, Australia wasnt exactly ethnically cleansed like in the Americas. The European settlers just took the land and marginalized the aboriginals.

Sorry, this is totally wrong and in fact racist myth (to make the white people feel less guilty). Google aboriginal resistance to learn more. Australian historians are increasingly getting rid of this myth (no doubt much to the chagrin of some). Aboriginals resisted, were murdered and were ethnically cleansed. They were governed under 'flora and fauna' laws until 1970's.

I am sure similar myths were prevalent in America about their 'aboriginals' (as they were also called) about 100-200 years ago. They were certainly prevalent amongst white people during the period of slavery.

Once again, I would also like to remind you that your technology argument is not valid. The Chinese 'discovered' Australia before the Europeans in the 15th century. They had a civilisation more advanced than that of the Europeans yet they did not seek to rape/plunder/steal like the Europeans did. The Malaysians and Indonesians also traded peacefully with Aboriginals. As also stated before, the Europeans used trade as a deception to plunder and steal from other countries. This also has nothing to do with technology.
