Is it not that choosing messengers is His? Unless Allah authorizes one from His choice with a clear Sign of Wisdom from the Book and that by which he lives as a model before others, there is no way he shall be considered as special.

    Peace,
    Agree as I stated before

and God ACCEPTS HIM OR HER,

Ponder The Messengers after the Book!

This Quran is the only Book whose ayats will keep Guiding the humanity with its signs and revelations during the periods of evolution and devolution as the world regresses towards its end. Signs from Allah are given to the messengers and they are sent with the revelations befitting their times and their respective communities. But if they reject The Book and the Messengers without even caring to know them or knowingly turning away from them, shall soon come to know when them being roasted in fire, that they should not have committed the sin, associating disputable communications in exchange for the Messengers' clear revelation with His Signs! We shall know this day that we are disputing on various ayats; almost on every ayat of the Book, Al Quran. Only at times like these Allah sends His Messengers so that they might return to the Book and the messenger. Do not you see such a situation today? Is it not time you should have turned to Allah for knowledge of the Book so that you could identify your messenger?

40 70 Those who reject the Book and that with which We have sent Our Messengers; but they shall soon come to know.

In the above ayat take note of "The Book and the Messengers..." If Quran is the final Book where is the question of messengers after the Book? Ponder!

      .

Billions Of Messengers On The Last Day

        4 41
How will it be, then, when We bring from every people a witness and bring you as a witness against these?

Who are these two witnesses? If one is Muhammad as supposed by the conventional, who are the other witnesses from every people? How many billions of witnesses from the birth of the man till the last day from every people? Unless you believe in the messengers of your town and villages you will not know the straight path; and if you fail to recognize your messenger, you are the loser on that fateful day of yours, for the witness i.e., your respective messengers of your places and tongues shall stand firm up against you.

        Peace.

        .

          Your Messenger is there!

          4 170
O Mankind! The Messenger hath come to you in truth from Allah believe in him It is best for you. But if ye reject Faith, to Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth And Allah is All-knowing, All-wise.

Without knowing your respective messengers and returning unto him, all opinions, disputes and discussions end in dissensions and become void.

The best way to identify any messenger from God is that he or perhaps a (she ?) tells the truth from the Qur'an , bring us good news and remind us about hereafter and with exemplary manner or character ( my belief ) . If Muhammad means praise worthy then this characteristic ( Praise Worthy ) is The Seal of every prophet and messenger of God as per 3340 .

Most if not all messengers and prophets were sent to convey the Truth from God and as bearers of good news and Warners , however , some were not to be called upon to answer for companion of the fire even if they were their people , 2119 . in another verse prophet /messenger was sent as a witness and to deliver good news and warnings to the people 3345 . So for me anyone who tells me the truth about anything , reminds me about god and hereafter from the Qur'an and has an exemplary character and manners , is a messenger . Bear in mind , that God sends messengers to every nation and tribes and they are men from among ourselves .

            Peace

I am at a loss now as to what is the real point of this discussion. I think we all can be messanger and message bearer of the message, now preserved in Qur'Aan. We all are suppose to be the messanger for the message. Those who take upon themselves to talk about the only meassage from our Creator, will be so known and those not doing so will be obvious too. The only thing which becomes important is to resist a claim by individuals to be prophets as they are usually fraught with additions and deletions to the only message and have a tendency to give birth to cults, with people looking at them for further new messages and instructions.

True messanger will only take upon the job of spreading the message as is revealed in Qur'Aan ( as Injeel and Torah are essentially lost and not preserved in its original form ). A true messanger/message bearer will resist all other books written later as divine or prophetic books as no other message was meant to come later, as message of Qua'Aan is complete and final. A true messanger will work as a warner, like other Anbia, and bring people to the Book again and try to uncover the lost meaning of the real message. This now may require fine combing the words of God in the Book, letter by letter.

The problem , I see here is that the language of Qur'Aan is lost to most people as all languages go thru evolution. We therefore need to go back in time and uncover/rediscover the utilization of each and every letter and signs utilized in the Quraanic script so we can go back to the message again, and hope to get back on the path. But if we keep conjecturing and try to give meanings and explanations, without decoding each and every word of Qur'Aan, letter by letter, we will continue to be lost. Let us go to the basics of Grammar rules and lexical meanings of each and every word of Qur'Aan and we will have the message again in front of us, crisp and clear, as God clearly says that He has revealed the message in easy to comprehend tongue. We will then not need even the so called scholars as God would not be dependent on self claimed scholars to make His Book clear to the intelligent being that He has created. It must be an easy message (only if we can reunderstand it). Once we have understood it, then the burden will be on individuals to take it or leave it as there is no compulsion in Deen. If we will then take it, our life will be much peaceful, otherwise we will continue to be miserable. It would then become only logical to accept the message, as only God would know in his infinite wisdom as to what is best for the human race as a path, as is revealed in all his books including Qur'Aan and other scriptures before. The message will continue to be the same even later.

I think the point of this discussion is .....that some of the people in this Forum believes that Prophets/Messengers ended with Muhammad citing 3340 as evidence . Others believe that God continues sending messengers citing the same verse but with different translation and interpretations .

                    The Choice of a Messenger

                    Peace,

First, the point in Red-bold Quran is God's Message for the people of universes including Jinns. Therein in Quran is the Universal message with a universal tongue. Allah knows all being talked in the heavens and in the earth for He taught them to speak. So are our tongues taught to us by Allah. There may be innumerable languages, yet to each man though spoken in his own language, understanding is hard for he is out of his own situation mostly, i.e., he is out of his senses. If you have the sense then mind application to the situation alone is important for perfect communication whatever be the language you communicate with. Sense of appreciation is Allah's language of communication. Dikr or pondering while seeking pardon from Him is the only mode towards that end; and not the lexicons and grammar of languages. Grammar cannot bring the situation to mind whereas the situation does teaches us how to clear the mess that we created; this is the message. Message for the situation comes from Allah; He delivers us from all our calamities either impending or experiencing. Pondering has no language or grammar; it is direct communication with God. He teaches you through wahy, the intuition which requires no language or grammar or decoding or word for word understanding. Once we are delivered from a deep situation, it is just a spark of the moment and the very same moment the doom is cleared with brightness. This is the Straight path. Language free intuition or wahy.

Allah teaches the Messengers with His communication through wahy, the intuition. And Muhammad was chosen from among the pagan, illiterate, senseless community. Allah never chose as messengers from Arabic speaking people who were well versed and pandits in Arabic. So a gross arabic standard is sufficient to dwell on the subject and to communicate with Allah. Then it is with Allah who to choose as His messengers from every linguistic community.

The point of discussion here is to make one see above all linguistic barriers. Receive the guidance straight from Allah and learn shortly that we are already being conducted in the path; and we shall soon come to know that our heart has changed in the path and direction, glorious. And from among such of these Allah chooses His messengers. Language never takes us any where near to this status; but the Dikr, the Pondering, does. Muhammad was chosen and taught Quran because of his pondering and not due to his linguistic excellence.

                    .

It would then become only logical to accept the message, as only God would know in his infinite wisdom as to what is best for the human race as a path, as is revealed in all his books including Qur'Aan and other scriptures before. The message will continue to be the same even later.

The point I am trying to make is simple. We know that all languages developed as spoken language first, using spoken sounds to convey the concepts. It is only later that people develop writing techniques to preserve the spoken concepts in best manner possible to preserve not only the spoken pronunciation but also the meaning and the concept. This writing technique of preserving the pronunciation and the meaning was available to the people at the time of Prophet Muhammed(S) also. Now keeping this in mind, we know that Wahy is in spoken language as spoken by the Prophet by the order of our Creator. This was preserved in the manner known at that time, to the script writers, to best preserve the pronunciation in the exact form as possible including the meanings and concepts. Now we know that all languages evolve with time. This may be the reason that previous scriptures were lost as the original meanings were not understood by anyone with time as concepts changed and hence it was replaced by any concept that might have come to mind, to even well intentioned people.

We are lucky to have not only the original script of Qur'Aan preserved, but are lucky that people after the death of the most companions of the prophet, were already noticing the change in concepts because of rapid expansion of Islam and Al Qur'Aan to areas where those writing rules were non existent. Many scholars strarted putting togetehr books containing the rules of writing, in which Qur'Aan was written,(Probably within first 100 years or so) which later became the backbone of scholarly translations of books now we call the grammar books. Similarly the meanings and concepts and the writing techniques were also explained very early on in great books like Qamoos, Lisaan ul Arab and taj ul Uroos, later translated and hence preserved for ever.

God thus not only preserved the original script but also the writing techniques and concepts utilised at that time, so the Book is preserved in all essence. Problem started with rapid expansion of the message, never seen before in the history. This was accompanied by non utilisation of these written lexical and grammar rules although written down very early on as noted above. This was then more diluted by multiple scholars who attempted to write history and possible words of the Prophet(S) much much later, causing real and potential difference of opinions and arguements on the concepts conveyed in the Qur'Aan.

We can all become the message beareres now if we can go back to these real words as preserved in these great scholarly works by very early muslims (translated later mostly in English by expert linguists). This will tell us as to what Gods message is and has been in the past and will be for the future without conjecturing or changing the words as God never changes his universal message. This can be done thru Qur'Aan only as it is the only original script left intact along with original understanding of its writing technique and lexical concepts preserved in these books. No other previous scripture has that advantage now. More over we cannot fully understand it either, if we utilise only the current spoken Arabic, as in many parts of the world language not only has difference in style but has evolved differently in different Arab speakig parts, based on their cultural and evolutionary advancement of the spoken language. This is true for every language as it keeps evolving every 50 years or so. The only way to understand the previous books would be to have preserved previous scripts and the preserved rules of the script, and luckily we have both for the Book AL Qur'Aan.

We thus not need a " messanger" or a " set of messangers" any more to carry on this divine command, but we all need to put our efforts together to first come to a final linguistic and conceptual translation based on these scholarly works, and then we all will be the message bearer and will stop worrying as to who is going to give us the divine message now or later. We all have to be the message bearer and the messanger, once the above is accomplised, as God says that I have revealed this book in easy to comprehend tongue. The concepts will then become crisp and clear and Qur'Aan will become the message and the messanger itself for all who will seek the guidance. It will be then upto the people to take it or leave it as the real kufr is refusal to accept when you finally understand it correctly and not confused about it any more, but still resist it for whatever reasons.

Actually I am speechless after seeing this great translation.
The question is which Bible to follow ?
Guidance is requested. Has Quran guided us in this matter ?

Bible of Jesus and the Hadith of Muhammad are both the same. What we need to know is that the Taurat and the Injeel are very well preserved in Quran. Wherever Allah deals with the history of Musa and Esa in Quran therein are the Taurat and the Injeel.

                                Salamun alaykum

It appears that the problem here lies with the misconception that Taurat and Injeel = The Bible . Is it not clear from The Qur'an that Taurat is always identified with Musa and Injeel identified with Isa ( Jesus ) ? So both The Taurat and The Injeel fall under the protection mentioned in 159 and 6115 . drfazl.....corectly said that ....The Bible is similar to Hadiths , they were both written a few generations after their respective Subjects passed away . Also neither the Bible authors nor The Hadiths compilers ever met disciples of Jesus or Muhammad . The Bible and The Hadiths were both written as accounts of Jesus' and Muhammad's lives , sort of biographies . By the way , it is easy to identify your messengers from God , they do not ask for any payments for teaching you the Truth or The Qur'an , 690 , 1129 , 1072 amomg others .

                                Peace

Allah's Quranic Language communicates the Truth. The Truth is the highest seat of Wisdom - well above the concepts, the philosophies and the spiritualism of man! The Truth is the Unseen, Formless Wisdom embedded into the syllables; and into the words; and into the phrases, half and full sentences. The Quran is studded with the Syllables, words, idioms, phrases, sentences and paragraphs of such nature, one verse merging with the rest of the other verses of Quran to which you might shift and shuffle in any combination. And the 'Arabic' of Quran does not follow any pattern of human-arabic; and this is the reason why Allah says it is easy to comprehend for a gross and apparently transparent meaning is sufficient to give a sparkling start to one's pondering. And the verses of Quran never assume positions based on human prediction or their grammar and discipline. Yet they shall communicate the ultimate Truth to those who ponder seeking from Him faithfully and now the communication descends down upon our hearts as the guidance-revelation by the leave of Allah, and in the name of Allah, while we approach Quran only after prayerfully taking refuge in Allah from the despised evil tentacles of Shaitan, thus purifying ourselves, totally submitting and surrendering! He, Allah is the One and the Only Alim, Who alone can teach us starting with the syllables i.e., the alphabets of Quran such as Alif , Laam, Meem, Raa, Qaf, Ha, Ya, Ain, Saad, Nun, Ta, Seen and then the idioms, phrases, and so on. If we go by the human-arabic standards, all the above syllables are considered as blabbers. And today we do regard them as such. This is no way to read Quran. Shun the human-arabic so that Allah teaches His-arabic.

When Allah starts with syllables such as A-L-M, people say it is chattering! But then there is this paradoxical approach of man, splitting the words of the verses into root-syllables or root-words; and they say, "By this, we shall better understand the meaning of Quran!" What a humor!

                                  Peace,
                                  Regards.

Very well put in by our respected brother. It is thinkers like this who will continue to ponder and be guided by our Creator and are hope for the betterment of the Muslim Umma. May Allah shower his blessings on the brother and all other who are concerned and are constantly thinking.

I would however repectfully bring a point of importance regarding the language of Allah. Allah has no language and his language cannot be just Arabic. He guides us each and makes us understand things in our own language when we ponder. So, in a similar manner Rab gave his message by his means and ways,(Wahy) to the Prophets in the past including Muhammed(S), in their own respective languages and dialects. The divine message downloaded on Prophet Muhammed(S) heart was thus Arabic, that being the spoken language of him, and the script utilized to preserve the exact words as they understood it exactly, were the script techniques prevalent at that time. God did not send a written script down. So when God said A.L.M, or any other words written in a joined together manner, people then knew exactly as to what is being conveyed to them as those were accepted terminology and lexical practices prevalent at that time. They knew as to what is being said. Similarly other Quranic letters and words were written the way Arabic was written at that time in the prevalent script technique, since God did not send a written script.

Thus my only point here was that can we understand, using the understanding of the knowledge of previous writing technique, to see as to what Quraanic words might have meant to the Prophet and his companions at that time? If only we can peek thru the thought process of the writers and the Messanger at that time, who utilised the prevalent writing technique of that time to preserve the message as exactly revealed through the Qur'Aan, it might give us a better insight into the understanding as might have been understood by the Messanger and his companions. If we can possibly get that understanding by using the lexical tools, now easily available with internet and print media, we might streamline our thought process and continue to ponder on it in an easier manner and possibly in the line of the thought process of the Messanger and his companions. We might be sucessful with most letters and word writing techniquees, if not all of them in the first few go rounds.

The need to do the above is the very fact that the language and the writing technique now has evolved to such a degree with time, that we have serious differences as to what the companions might have understood at that time. Thus using old lexical tools might give us a better insight into the thought process prevalent at that time as well, as expressed in Qur'Aan. All we need to do is to have a team of dedicated men and women and look at these tools ( such as books of Grammar and Lanes which are translations in English from original old Arabic books ) very carefully, utilise it carefully, and atleast get an idea as to what people at that time were understanding and move from there on.

                                      Brother,
                                      Peace.

Allah taught the man the speech; and all the species are guided by the intuition, intelligence and instincts; and He knows all the languages that are spoken in the heavens and in the earth, hidden or openly. Allah knows what your mind speaks to you and what you consult within you. He has great command over everything. He merges all spoken languages and secretly concealed whispers of every people of the worlds, all the good and bad of them however small or big, into one common communication, The Wahy. The only way to get at the wahy is through prayerful pondering of the verses of Quran, seeking the real and meaningful guidance for good from a stressful situation you have placed yourself in. Each one's need is different; problems are different between individual to individual and from time to time the problems are very different in the same individual. If you count on the problems of people and the beings in the worlds the human mathematics and science will become disgracefully a laughing stock.

Anybody who relies upon the human knowledge, acquired through things that has already manifested, the experiences of the past and the experiments that he conducts based upon such past and dead knowledge, is like really digging and entering his own grave. Human language is such that. A dead language. For example Allah chose from among the dead languages of all human beings, say arabic. Yet, when His words come in any language form, it has universal communication for only those who ponder. They receive the wahy, The Truth whereupon they shall walk on the straight path. If Quran is considered as human arabic, then it might cause a spell of doom on the entire universe, for we degraded Allah's life infused verses which has in it detailed guidance for all time to come till eternity, that copes easily well with and maintaining the guidance of it high above all human materialistic standards however divergent or great they may be considering their advances in science and other materialistic standards, to such a low level of human arabic scholars.

Our dream is a perfect example, that in it Allah makes us travel through various parts of the world, make us communicate with the people there speaking various dialects though we know none of those languages except our own mother tongue! Believe now in the same manner Allah will make you communicate with Him, and He will communicate with you even if you know no languages at all in writing. This we see as an example in the Messenger about who Allah says that he was not a person who shall right with his right hand before Quran was communicated to him. Similarly, every individual, whatever be his mother tongue, Allah will make him communicate with Him; and He will be guiding you by being as close as possible to you and communicating with you as freely and as easily as possible.

Shun the human arabic; their grammar; their lexicons; the past of it; the present of it; and the future of human arabic! Get at the Wahy! He is the Only Alim; Turn to Him alone for Guidance from Quran.

                                      Regards.

It is wonderful to read it from some one with great intuition. May God give us all the understanding and courage to think and ponder like you and many other who are doing it so well. I am a little confused though as to how we will get guidance from Qur'Aan till we know as to what is actually scripted there in word and letters. My feeling is that a lot of things written in the Book are being wrongly understood and hence so much difference and arguements between people. My idea of looking at lexicon was only to make sure that we are decoding the script correctly and are looking at the construction of the script utilized correctly, so we could ponder on it rightly, and apply the guidance then to the ever changing circumstances of the humans as suggested by you.

I dont mean to say that lexical tools are a replacement for thinking and pondering. For an English speaking person, for example, it is like french or german or greek or any other language that he does not know. Moreover learning current Arabic will not help either to see what may be scripted there to a great extent, as languages change. Hence till we know as to what is actually scripted there and decode the script technique used at that time, it will be difficult for us to even ponder on the message, since we will not know as to what is even written there. I feel most difficulty for people is, due to the fact that scription technique was rather different from modern spoken Arabic and hence challanging to even ponder on it. Lexical tool may help us only with the decoding of the script technique utilised there, and point us in the right direction since this is a very old script writing technique. I hope I am making sense.

Please pray for me to understand it correctly also.

Shun the human arabic; their grammar; their lexicons; the past of it; the present of it; and the future of human arabic! Get at the Wahy! He is the Only Alim; Turn to Him alone for Guidance from Quran.

It is our verbal statement but practically ,all of us (Including me) including DrFzal use these elements . A huge contrast.

                                          Some are using Dictionaries
                                          Some are using Code 19
                                          Domr are using incriptions
Some are using varying combinations of them.
                                          Regards
