Would you please explain ,what do you want to say ?
Any evidence for this literal meanings ?

I am saying that almarh0m is explaining his understanding, not giving a translation. if you want to criticize it, you cannot criticize it "linguistically". If he understands that "slaat" is commitment, what's wrong with his rendition? The other option is "moderate commitment", but unless you know he wants this meaning, you cannot say his rendition is linguistically unacceptable.

      peace almarh0m,

I am aware of that as you already pointed out to me in another thread about hajj and ila , this is my personal understanding and interpretation and I believe it fits the context of 2238 . I would appreciate any further help to clarify the meaning of 'al wusta' in the context of the verse ( if I take Salat not to mean "ritual prayer" ) .

Yes, nowhere in The Quran does it say "hjj" "ila (to)" anywhere. This a myth/fabrication, one promoted by the free-minds translation and many translations I might add.

My rendition of 'al salat al wusta' can be found in the thread you also discussed in. The main problem with your understanding and understandings similar to this, is that they then try to explain away 2239 with bizarre explanations and are forced to throw cross referencing in the bin. Unless, you have a new/better explanation for it. As far as I'm aware, the rendition I favour is the only one without problems and is most accurate to the Arabic.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

        Peace everyone,

The fajr and isha salaats are mentioned in the qur'aan 2458 in the following form without AL before salaat

        Salaat al-fajr salaat OF fajr
        Salaat al-3isha salaat OF 3isha

The salaat mentioned in 2238 is in the following form with AL before salaat

        Al-salaat al-wusta

Clearly everybody can see that the forms are different so the salaat in 2236 cannot be referring to a salaat at a certain time of the day similar to salaat al-fajr or salaat al-3isha.

Once again, if al-wusta means middle here, did the god forget to tell us whether it is middle of daytime or middle of night? One sect says it is middle of daytime and another sect says it is middle of night. I guess the god is forgetful and forgot this crucial detail. How retarded of the god to tell us about a "middle" salaat and then not tell us whether he means middle of night or middle of daytime?

Salawaat in 2236 covers all the salaats in a lifetime. There is no word in that sign signifying it is referring only to a day. Mentioning another separate salaat after already mentioning all the salaats in a lifetime would be redundant but I forgot that the qur'aan uses very poor language with redundancies indicative of a retarded author.

If my English teacher tells me "Bring your books and the English book", I wouldn't want that person to be my English teacher anymore.

"Prayer" is referred to as "du3a" in the qur'aan. You can pray/du3a as many times as you want similar to "praying" morning, evening, noon in the bible. In addition to that, how do we know that the "three times a day" has been fabricated or not in the bible pertaining to "praying" if it is indeed referring to "salaat"? The bible also claims Jesus is the literal begotten son of the god. Salaat is not "prayer" as used in the qur'aan but it means "connection/bond" according to the context.

The qur'aan is also THE CRITERION in addition to being THE REMINDER. We cannot fit the qur'aan to conform to the bible but it should be the other way around.

            Peace Samia, almarhom,

"Moderate commitment" means something completely different from "commitment to moderation". If an Arabic phrase can be literally translated to "moderate commitment" (moderate-adjective, commitment-noun) then interpreting it as "commitment to moderation" (moderation-noun, commitment-noun) is AT BEST inventing lies about the god and twisting his words. The Arabic for the second interpretation would be "al-salaat LI al-alwusta".

Proves that you cannot provide evidence for your statement. It says that in the Old Testament. Check for yourself if you want. I know it baffels you to see that Prophets in the Old Testament are recorded to have prayed 3 times per day.

I have brought my proof. Now bring yours for your statement. I believe there is a forum rule that says if you say something about Islam then you need to back it up by the Quran. I believe the same goes for what you have said.
And you were implying to insult me. No ambiguity in that.

Again, it proves that you have no evidence and come up with nonsense. Do you expect me to send you a hardcopy of the Torah through the internet?

Yes this is pathetic. I STILL dont see any proof from the original torah about Daniel praying three times a day.

No need to ridicule, like you did. All I want is that you bring a proof for your statement that Daniel prayed three times a day from the original torah. Otherwise stop lying about the god.

If you want, then just continue to pray 2 x per day.

Now you are lying about what I said.

Where did I say that one can pray 2 x per day?

I gave you a reference. You can go to a book shop close to you and by the Old Testament and check it for yourself.
I am sorry to inform you that I cant send you a hard copy of the OT through the internet.

You have to start abiding to the forum rules. You cant just make claims without giving evidence. And YES you did imply that had psychosis or whatever other bull****. Learn some manners. Your claims try to hide the fact that you cant bring evidene for your erronous claim and that you insulted me indirectly.

There is absolutley no need to continue this discussion. Lets just leave it there. Pray your dawn and dusk salaats - idc.
