DISPELLING TRADITIONALIST MYTHS ABOUT THE GOSPEL
The Qur?an?s Description of the Gospel
The Qur?an mentions the Gospel twelve times by name, but many more times as ?the
Book? or ?the Scriptures.? Interestingly, there are no Qur?anic verses that say the Gospel is
different from the canonical books of the Christians.7 Rather, it teaches that Muhammad referred to the Gospel as being present day (?between his hands?) (3431, 3531, 1037, 12111, 33,551), and as the words of God (56, which cannot be altered (6115, 1064, 1827).
The table below will point out a brief description of the gospel by the Qur'an.
    SURA DESCRIPTION SURA DESCRIPTION

33,546. It came from Jesus 9111. God's promise are in it

568 God's revelation 547 We are to judge by it

1037 Qur'an explains it 384,4136 Muslims should believe it

33,546. Guidance and Light 566,68 Christians should observe it

3431 Unbelievers refuse to believe it 1094 Refer to it when in doubt

291 Qur'an confirms it 262 Christians need not fear

4070 Judged for rejecting it 48;29 compare with Mark 427-28

4162 Those grounded in knowledge believe it

The phrase ?between his hands? mentioned above, transliterated from Arabic as bayna
yadaihi, is often wrongly translated in contemporary English versions as that ?which was revealed? or ?came before.? However, as William Campbell shows in his book, The Qur?an and the Bible in the Light of History and Science, this phrase ?has the literal meaning ?between or in his hands?, but usually it is an idiom for ?in his presence?, or ?in his power?, or ?in his possession?, or ?at his disposal.?? Furthermore, the Qur?an says that true Christians lived during the time of Muhammad, noting that Jesus? followers were inspired to follow him (5110-111), chosen to be God?s helpers (352-53), prevailed against their enemies (6114), and that some true believers started monasticism (5726-27).
Now the question is if the the Gospel is corrupted, by WHOM, WHEN and HOW was it corrupted? Cos obviously it was not during Muhammad's time, and not just by the jews or just by the Nazarenes cos they carry identical old testament and not by both cos the are not in good times with each other 2113...........

conjecture is no substitute for the truth.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

HERE ARE SOME GOOD LESSONS FROM THE INJIL

          .

          LOVE YOUR ENEMIES,
          BLESS those who curse you,
DO GOOD to those who hate you, an d
PRAY for those who despitefully use you, and persecute you
THAT YOU MAY BE THE CHILDREN OF YOUR FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN (MATHEW 544-45)

            Peace,
            Respectfully.

I've read The Quran since 1999. Thank God AllMighty for guiding me on The Straight Path.
I've just started reading The Old Testament and read some of the beginning of The New Testament.
There are some things that agree with The Quran and some that don't.

            Glory be to our God.

If one goes carefully through all three Books, one will discover that the main Message is the same - God is One.
Of course, we can also discover, God willing, that satan has been corrupting previous Scriptures.

            Glory be to our God,
            Glory be to our God.
            Peace.

It is often said by many that the Bible has been changed, but when could it have been changed in relation to the writing of the Qur'an? It cannot have been after the Qur'an was written since there are New Testament manuscripts pre-dating the Qur'an.
Equally, it cannot have been changed before the Qur'an was written because otherwise the Qur'an would say so. Interestingly the Qur'an does not say that the Bible has been changed at any point. In fact, to the contrary, the Qur'an encourages its readers to compare its own teaching with the Old and New Testaments of the Bible in order to confirm the truth of the message. This makes sense when we understand that the New Testament was not translated into Arabic until after the Qur'an was written. And moreover Muhammad used to refer to the Bible for guidance (Sura 543, 46 and 634 and 1064).
Most importantly how could God have allowed the Bible to be changed when Jesus himself said that 'Scripture cannot be broken' (John 1035). Why would anyone have dared to try and change it when faced with the truth of the warnings of the consequences of doing so in the Bible itself.
Surely since the Qur'an was indeed from God, it would have record the plain fact that the Qur'an and New Testament disagree. Instead - the Qur'an affirms the Bible.

The Muslim takes strong exception to the Christian dogma that "Jesus is the only begotten son, begotten not made". This is what the Christian is made to repeat from childhood in his catechism. I have asked learned Christians, again and again as to what they are really trying to emphasize, when they say "Begotten not made".
They know that according to the biblical (?) records, God has sons by the tons
"...Adam, which was the son of God."(Luke 33
"That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair... And when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them..." (Genesis 6 2,4)
"...Israel is My son, even My firstborn" (Exodus 422)
"...for I (God) am a Father to Israel, and Ephraim is My firstborn." (Jeremiah 319)
"...the Lord hath said unto me (David) 'Thou art My son this day have I begotten thee." (Psalms 27)
"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." (Romans 1814)
Can't you see that in the language of the Jew, every righteous person, every Tom, Dick and Harry who followed the Will and Plan of God, was a "Son of God". It was a metaphorical descriptive term commonly used among the Jews. The Christian agrees with this reasoning, but goes on to say "but Jesus was not like that". Adam was made by God. Every living thing was made by God, He is the Lord, Cherisher and Sustainer of all. Metaphorically speaking therefore God is the Father of all. But Jesus was the "begotten" son of God, not a created son of God ?

I think the 'son of God' termin is clearly forbidden in the Quran, so i cant accept this termin, even in some type of metaphor

                      Peace,

The four (4) Biblical gospels, which are only ALLEGED biographical sketches of Jesus' life, are not Nazarene scriptures, they're Christian scriptures, as are all the new testament writings. Christians (i.e. "masiyhiuun&quot are NOT mentioned in the Qur'aan at all, and they're not even implied a reference except for the instance where it condemns the Trinitarians. Other than this, though, there's never any mention of Christians, especially not attaining salvation or mercy from Allah. This is a myth, and many translators mistakenly translated "nasara" as Christians, but this is incorrect... If you want to study the Evangel according to the interpretation of the "nasara"/Nazarenes, then study the Gospel of the Nazarenes...

The 4 Biblical gospels are forgeries and fabrications, and most of the stories within them are taken from the tales of the ancient gods and goddesses of Egypt, India, Persia, Greece, Rome, etc.

The son that is forbidden in the quran is "walad", which is what the majority of christians believe in the issue of jesus, but the example of "Ibn" as in wayfarer 2177, 2215 which can be translated if put into your understanding is "son of the road". Can road give birth to a son? this also shows that there is no fallacy in the gospels (TRANSMITTER) but rather in the minds (RECEIVERS) receiving the message. Just the way we have the sunnis and shiites holding up to hadith, sunnah and the prophets family and claiming that quran advocates shuch.

If we are all descendants of the creation of God, Adam, then, using the biblical meaning of the word "son" (meaning descendant), then we are all "sons (and daughters) of God".

Do you believe in this gospel of the nazarenes? so you must believe in the crucifixion of jesus. Moreover this gospel of the holy twelve has some mystery in it as claimed by the author himself Rev. Gedeon Jasper Richard Ouseley he claims that the text which resulted in the Gospel of the Holy Twelve (or the Gospel of the Perfect Life) was given to him in nightly ?illuminations,? dreams and visions in the night wherein Jesus Christ translated the text from the original Aramaic along with the help of several well known historical mystics ? among them Emanuel Swedenborg, Anna Kingsford and Edward Maitland - and a Franciscan priest named Placidus.

Are you actually believing these sources?!

Reverend Ouseley didn't "author" the Gospel of the Nazarenes, he only translated it. This same document can be found in various parts of the Middle East and northern Africa, originally written in Aramaic. The Catholic church covered up it's existence, and that's why they said these things about Reverend Ouseley. To date, there aren't any QUOTES from Reverend Ouseley that confirm these allegations of the Catholic church and it's supporters... I DO believe in the crucifixion of Jesus, but I DON'T believe he died on the cross. Rather, I believe he was badly injured, he was patched up by some of his supporters, he showed himself to his closest disciples, and then he travelled to parts of India to seek out the "lost sheep" of Israel, the remaining 10 tribes outside of Jerusalem. He eventually died and was buried in Kashmir...

I'm very familiar with the Ahmadiyya movements, and I agree with many things that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad preached about, including the concept of Jesus surviving the crucifixion. But no, I'm not a member of his Islaamic sect, nor do I agree with all of their teachings, especially pertaining to the hadiyths...

I am happy to hear that from you, but as regards to the claim of having Jesus grave in Kashmir is something which I disagree with, Or what can you say about the recent claim of the lost tomb of Jesus Christ, There are some fact attached to it which gives more Light to the Gospel. Especially regarding Jesus addressing his mother by woman during the crucifixion as the interpreters (Catholic Church) of the gospel held, which really is wrong as per what the qyran said regarding the noble Jesus 1932. The word woman can only be to his wife Mariamne.
                                      peace.

There seems to be substantial proof that this may actually be his tomb, especially considering the fact that this gravesite was discovered and revered by the Indian people BEFORE the revelation of the Qur'aan. The man was called "Isa al maasih", the same name/title given to him in the Qur'aan... Also, according to a few gospel accounts not included in the Bible canon, Jesus' mother was Maryam, but this was also his wife's name ("Maryam of Magdala&quot. If this was actually the case, then he could've easily been speaking to his wife during the crucifixion, not his mother...

There might be substantial proves but I don't know any may be if you can help me with some or give me a link to where I might get any. As for the tomb found in Jerusalem we have the following facts and claims
                                          The Facts Claimed

                                          1. In 1980 ten limestone bone boxes (ossuaries) dated to the first century, were discovered in an excavated tomb in the Jerusalem suburb of Talpiot.
                                          2. Six inscriptions were discovered with names similar to or the same as some of Jesus Christ?s family and disciples
                                            Jesua, son of Joseph,
                                            Mary
                                            Mariamene e Mara
                                            Mathew
                                            Jofa
                                            Judah, son of Jesua.
                                          3. Cameron attempts to prove that Mariamene e Mara is Mary of Magdalene, and that she and Jesus had a son named "Judah son of Jesua".
                                          4. DNA analysis identifies that tissues from the ossuaries of Jesua and Mariamene e Mara were not related, raising the possibility they may have been married and had a child.
