    In traditional Christianity his father was God. In non-traditional Christianity his father was Joseph

    I vote for Joseph..
    Jesus needs a Y chromosom from somewhere..
    He was Joseph's sperm, how does his sperm (or at least his Y chromosom) get into Mary's ovary or egg without any sexual interaction, that's the miracle..

    Salam / Peace

      Peace,
      Respectfully.

      I don't think he had a father - God knows best but The Quran doesn't mention him, does it?
      We must always provide Quranic evidence, right?
      Glory be to The MOST Merciful.

      Peace.

      Not necessarily, a scientific evidence from natural observation could be better..
      As said in the Quran God's verses / symbols / ayat is written everywhere, in the heaven and the earth..
      I don't see there are any differences between Law Of Nature and Law Of God.

      Salam / Peace

        Peace
        Male and female mating is not essential for procreation.
        Parthenogenesis in plants
        Cloning in animals is a well recognised phenomenon.

        Some are saying "from where did Jesus AH get Y -chromosome ? if he had no father.For their information no doubt normally you always need genotype
        XY = male
        XX = Female

        But there is a condition called as Sex Reversal .In this condition there are
        XY = females
        XX = Males
        http//www.lds-mormon.com/gender1.shtml

        Secondly
        Adam is Adam not Banu Adam
        Banu Adam is Banu Adam (man kind).
        Allah know language much better than you and me.He knows the difference and usage of these two words.

        Regards

              From the same mormon's article it is also said

              "There are also individuals who are chromosomal females with XX chromosomes but who develop as males. Again, the condition may not be evident until puberty."

              Thus Jesus was borned female? and became male after puberty?
              Or perhaps Jesus was actually female after all! <-- there are people who also believe as such.

              To me the proposed scenario above was.... less likely..

              In a Quran it is clearly stated that Mary had a baby boy..

                We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents

                Jesus had no father, he was not a human.

                  The same Question applies to Adam. Was he having father and mother ? or He was not a human being ?

                            what is the real meaning of this verse Mary says "O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man hath touched me?" verse 47. What does it really mean? why did she say no man has ever touched me. just stick to this verse.

                                        Peace,
                                        Respectfully.

                                        This is what i find difficult regaridng the trinity and the Father being the father of messenger/prophet Jesus.
                                        If The Father is The Father of Jesus, then how come at the same time, Jesus is god in the flesh? Is he then his own dad?
                                        Furthermore, if Jesus is god in the flesh, then does that mean, that Jesus is not human but above-human, a nonterrestrial being? How can Mary the virgin (human) then give birth to a non-human?

                                        No offence, just asking.
                                        I've spoken to several Christians here regarding this and we are yet to find the solution to this.
                                        Glory be to our God.
                                        Peace.

                                          (359)

                                          Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allh is like that of Adam. He created Him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was.

                                          Easa (Jesus) was not only fatherless but also motherless. Mariam (The Virgin Mary) was his surrogate mother. She received him in her womb already made. Her (egg) did not have a part in his making.

                                          (1919)

                                          He said, "I am but the messenger of your Lord to give you (as a gift) a pure boy."
