    Salaam Munzir,

it seems you yourself, believe the same thing, as you say God, which is defined as a supernatural being, that is invoked through prayer and requires adoration and worship?

Your statement is ironic, you're saying in effect, 'that's the funny thing. People think that a personification has a human form.'. Of course people think a God has a human form, that?s the concept of a God, a man made construct that was manufactured to confuse the ignorant, and self deluded, this is clear from the Islamic model, of Not God, or Allah as its written in Classical Arabic.

I used to think he was a cloaked wizard wearing white with a long beard. God is nothing we can imagine. If we imagine God as something, than that thing is not God.

Well of course in these days none of the people of the Abrahamic religions believe God has human form. That is just laughable

          Not in my experience.

That idea is derived from Zeus.

Well, in years gone by they did believe that, comes from the passage in Genesis where it says God made man in his image

What if it's true? I mean, what if the saying that god made man in His image is true, but just misunderstood..

Consider this we have a physical body. Are we a physical body? Or is the body something we have? Is my hand me or is it something I have?
And if i am not my body then what am I?

Abdun Nur links have been very interesting and much of it just makes sense.. I'm not sure if the translation of "Allah" as "NotGod" is the best possible translation, but it does not really matter anyway.. Some authors call him/her the Source or the Source energy. Some call it The God... It does not chane anything. More important than the naming issue (which just makes it easier to talk about Allah), is the understanding of what or who he is I've read one author and he said that the word God (Allah, whatever other name to use) is interchangeable with the word life. As there is no life outside this entity.

I also believe that there is no separation between us and Allah, as the Quran clearly states that everywhere we look there is the presence of Allah And Allah is ONE. So there is no real separation between us and Allah or between us and other people The feeling of separation is just an illusion

                  Peace,

I agree there is no separation between any of us. But my belief in that passage is that God made us in his "spiritual" image, not physical.

That Biblical passage, occurring in "ha Torah", has already been explained by Jewish rabbis and scholars... From the doctrines of Judaism

Clearly, we are not created in the physical image of G-d, because Judaism steadfastly maintains that G-d is incorporeal and has no physical appearance. Rambam points out that the Hebrew words translated as "image" and "likeness" in Gen. 127 do not refer to the physical form of a thing. The word for "image" in Gen. 127 is "tzelem," which refers to the nature or essence of a thing, as in Psalm 7320, "you will despise their image (tzel'mam)." You despise a person's nature and not a person's physical appearance. The word for physical form, Rambam explains, is "to'ar," as in Gen. 396, "and Joseph was beautiful of form (to'ar) and fair to look upon." Similarly, the word used for "likeness" is "damut," which is used to indicate a simile, not identity of form. For example, "He is like (damuno) a lion" in Ps. 1712 refers not to similar appearance, but to similar nature.

What is it in our nature that is G-d-like? Rashi explains that we are like G-d in that we have the ability to understand and discern. Rambam elaborates that by using our intellect, we are able to perceive things without the use of our physical senses, an ability that makes us like G-d, who perceives without having physical senses.

                  Peace,

                  Ahmad

                      Salaam,

it seems clear, Judaism and Christianity are religions, for the most part in direct opposition to Islam, as the understanding of the Qur'an, these religions have over the centuries been applied to the concepts of Islam, so today what is seen as Islam, is a very Jewish/Christian version, the Jews believe they are the chosen people of God, and accordingly none Jews are worthless in comparison, the Christians believe the only way into their heaven is through the blind belief in the personification of God, through the messenger Jesus, and the trinity of God, anyone who rejects this doctrine is destined for the fires of Christian Hell.

In contrast Islam, condemns every and all religion as worthless, in the concepts of Islam it would not matter if you had never read, seen or heard a word of the Qur'an or of Islam, only upon your physical actions are you judged, you could exist as a Muslim in the sight of Allah purely through action.

The concept of chosen people is then utterly rejected, the concept of a man being Allah incarnate is so ridiculous, as to be contemptible upon any mind, so lacking in reason or sanity, as to accept that as true.

These contrived religions are in no way related to the concepts of the Qur'an, the Jews and Christians who stand within both camps attempt to combine them as a single doctrine, this is not the case, in fact for the greater part, Islam is in direct opposition to these religions.

Let us take the concept of unity, Islam holds unity as the underlying structure of all reality, this is not the case with Judaism, if a Jew argues it is, they can not be a Jew, or they are intentionally or unintentionally deceiving others, division is the basis of Judaism, being the them and us philosophy, exploitation of none Jews is the backbone of the Jewish faith.

Unity in Christianity is again not the case, this, as the Jewish religion, is clearly a death cult, they have worked hard to implant their ideology within Islam, Christians through the Roman Catholic dogma, have butcher entire races into extinction, anything that exists must conform to their model, or be removed, this is the conceptual force that is homogenising the world today, removing diversity, this is their concept of unity, conformity, again in direct opposition to Islam.

It does not matter if a Jew / Christian says, but I do not believe in this aspect of my religion or that, if that is the case do not say you are a Christian or a Jew. I reject the religion of Muslims in its entirety, in the sight of Allah every religion is worthless.

                          Salaam,

I can define religion and have in other posts on this forum. If you wish to read them or read the essay 'God and Allah' on my website which has a definition also.

We are made in Allah's image, consider this, Allah manifests everything from the inside out, instant to instant, without this constant reinvention, nothing would exist, so all exists through the pure thought of Allah, this is the image referenced, not a copy but a manifestation from thought.

I get the feeling my views are not well received on freeminds, let me know if you want me to stop posting them and I'll consider it; as for most, ignorance is bliss, most especially the religious.

I have not noticed any disagreement, just out of hand dismissal, without any application of reason, much like you idol Rev John.

I have presented information on many subjects and received nothing in return to dispute this, they have a perspective based in conjecture and dogma, not a believer in truth alone, as every Muslim must attempt to become, this may appear to you as an attack upon an idividual, it is not, only a desire to express the truth as far as reason can establish it.

Reason is relative. Just because someone uses their form of reason does not make it right.

How true is Allah = Al + Ilaha = The God..Is this an invention too? Allah, if you look at it in its simplest form, could be Al (the) + Lah (No..Nothing)..I could be wrong ...just thinking...

                                        Salaam,

Allah in classical Arabic has been defined below, by my friend Badar, I'm going to add this definition to the essay God and Allah, which you can read ifyou have not yet done so on

This has to do both with script writing technique as well Grammar. But more importantly script writing technique. To best of knowledge there is not lot of work done in the past on writing technique. A surprise really. Having said this I will re explain this both showing Arabic script as well translating into English. The Arabic word is not one word. It actually consist of three words in this order. First word is =Allathee means "who is". This in writing is well know to be only written as or Al but this Al does not mean "the". It is followed by , Laa, meaning "not" and finally , illah, meaning the pagan Arab God or God in general. Hence the whole phrase would translated as "who is not god".

                                          Selam all

Here are a few things to consider

                                          1. 3957 Or say ?Had God guided me, I would have been among the
                                            righteous.?

                                          Who is guiding us?

                                          1. 3961 And God will save those who were righteous as their reward. No
harm will touch them, nor will they grieve.

                                          Who is saving us?

                                          1. 4118 And We saved those who believed and were righteous.

Who is We refered to here?

                                          1. 4335 And many ornaments. All these are the pleasures of this worldly
life. And the Hereafter with your Lord is for the righteous.

Please pay attention to the words 'Hereafter with your Lord'.

                                          1. 4345 And ask those of Our messengers whom We sent before you
?Did We ever appoint gods besides the Almighty to be served??

How do we serve the Almighty?

                                          1. 4363 And when Jesus came with the proofs, he said ?I have come to
you with the wisdom, and to clarify some of the matters in which
you dispute. So be aware of God and obey me.?
4364 ?God is my Lord and your Lord. So serve Him. This is a straight
                                            path.?

God is my Lord and your Lord?

                                          1. 4388 And it will be said ?O my Lord, these are a people who do not
                                            believe.?
4389 So disregard them and say ?Peace.? For they will come to know.

                                          Peace

                                          Hope
