I have, in various translations and interpretations. Plus, I read the Jewish Tanakh, which, in my opinion, gives a much better understanding of the text, and without all the mysterious (alleged) references to Jesus...

That passage is for all the descendants of Abraham, beginning with Ishmael and Isaac. The concept of religious circumcision was rejected by the Christians because most of the Christian converts were gentiles, not descendants of Abraham. Thank you for that. One thing puzzles me still though, I can understand christians did not see themselves as descendants of Abraham but do they also not believe they follow the same religion as Abraham?
I am sorry if it may seem that I am trying to find faults, but this is not my intention but trying to understand what is written and peoples thoughts.

Well, yes and no. Yes they believe they are following the same religion as Abraham but with the changes made by Jesus and, even more so, by Paul. There is no restriction on the food they can eat, no compulsory circumcision, no set amount of prayers per day, etc

I think I am beggining to understand. It would however, seem that the old testament is a collection of stories/commandments on how people followed religion before jesus. Am I on the right track or far from it ;D

Sort of, the OT is (mainly) the Jewish bible, then (according to Christians) came Jesus, the NT is basically the story of Jesus and some letters Paul wrote to the churches. It was mainly Paul that changed and separated the Christian church from Judaism, Jesus kept the Jewish laws (although this is disputed by some historians).

Genesis 12

Note ten year difference, 86-10 or at age 76 the Egyptians thought her attractive.

Then at age 90 apparently still attractive yet at the same time considered herself old.

Well Bukhari is considered as a hero to sunni sect I should imagine, but opposite to people who follow the Quran Alone. He was responsible for the hadith books (collection of hearsay) which are the practising manual for majority of muslims. I don't know how Paul is considered by christians but I would imagine in a simular way.
