Sort of, the OT is (mainly) the Jewish bible, then (according to Christians) came Jesus, the NT is basically the story of Jesus and some letters Paul wrote to the churches. It was mainly Paul that changed and separated the Christian church from Judaism, Jesus kept the Jewish laws (although this is disputed by some historians).

Can Paul be concidered what Bukhari is concidered to muslims then ;D

Yes read the Bible in my youth and perused a bit few days ago; thought this time-line as strange...

Genesis 12
4 ?Abram is a son of five and seventy years in his going out from Charan.

10 And there is a famine in the land, and Abram goeth down towards Egypt to sojourn there, for the famine is grievous in the land; 11 and it cometh to pass as he hath drawn near to enter Egypt, that he saith unto Sarai his wife, 'Lo, I pray thee, I have known that thou art a woman of beautiful appearance; 12 and it hath come to pass that the Egyptians see thee, and they have said, 'This is his wife,' and they have slain me, and thee they keep alive 13 say, I pray thee, thou art my sister, so that it is well with me because of thee, and my soul hath lived for thy sake.' 14 And it cometh to pass, at the entering of Abram into Egypt, that the Egyptians see the woman that she is exceeding fair; 15 and princes of Pharaoh see her, and praise her unto Pharaoh, and the woman is taken to Pharaoh's house; 16 and to Abram he hath done good because of her, and he hath sheep and oxen, and he-asses, and men-servants, and handmaids, and she-asses, and camels.

Genesis 16
16 and Abram is a son of eighty and six years in Hagar's bearing Ishmael to Abram.

Genesis 17
17 And Abraham falleth upon his face, and laugheth, and saith in his heart, 'To the son of an hundred years is one born? or doth Sarah -- daughter of ninety years -- bear?'

Genesis 18
13 and Sarah laugheth in her heart, saying, 'After I have waxed old I have had pleasure! -- my lord also is old!'

Genesis 20
1 And Abraham journeyeth from thence toward the land of the south, and dwelleth between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourneth in Gerar; 2 and Abraham saith concerning Sarah his wife, 'She is my sister;' and Abimelech king of Gerar sendeth and taketh Sarah.

Genesis 21
5 And Abraham is a son of a hundred years in Isaac his son being born to him, 6 and Sarah saith, 'God hath made laughter for me; every one who is hearing laugheth for me.' 7 She saith also, 'Who hath said to Abraham, Sarah hath suckled sons, that I have born a son for his old age?'

Note ten year difference, 86-10 or at age 76 the Egyptians thought her attractive.

Then at age 90 apparently still attractive yet at the same time considered herself old.

Well Bukhari is considered as a hero to sunni sect I should imagine, but opposite to people who follow the Quran Alone. He was responsible for the hadith books (collection of hearsay) which are the practising manual for majority of muslims. I don't know how Paul is considered by christians but I would imagine in a simular way.

As a God-alone Christian I feel a close relationship with Quran-alone, God-alone Muslims. A dialog between the two can only benefit both with a result that we can throw off our differences and pre-existing bias to bring us even closer. What is your real purpose on this forum?

This subject is a contentious one here, especially regarding the OT since many things there cause people to cringe. However I think that the NT is less problematic for a lot of people. Many aspects of the OT reminds people of the hadith canons and that makes them cringe. However I think the emphasis should be not what we think but WHAT DOES THE QURAN THINK abut the previous scriptures and I have not seen that debate here taken seriously once again because of OT phobia.

But I will say this. If you want to be a serious Quranist then you need to have a throrough understanding of the OT and NT and Judaic and Christian traditions as well as pagan traditions. Thats if you want to be a serious Quranist, meaning actvist. Its not easy to do away with the OT. Many early Christians wanted to but couldn't.

To be fair though many OT prophets and stories are in the Quran so I understand why many Quranist would not bother. But to be an actvist you must know it well since many Quranic verses could only be understood if you have knowledge of the OT and the Talmud. Maybe not an expert knowledge but at least a thorough understanding.

Its something I am going to have to do but not now. Internet has good sources but its never the same as reading it yourself since you will get the feel and overall picture and not bits and pieces as you get in the internet.

I have read some of it but not all. Currently I am reading 'The King James Version of the
Holy Bible'.

I have currently read this and it puzzles me

Genesis {179} And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my
covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their
generations. {1710} This my covenant, which ye shall
keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every
man child among you shall be circumcised. {1711} And ye
shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a
token of the covenant betwixt me and you.

Who is this command for? I ask because christians do not perform circumcision.

This is my believe in regard of this issue
Circumcision is a very complected operation that involves many precise steps; and therefore, the Hebrew word "emul", which is translated to Circumcise, is not sufficient enough to refer to such a complicated operations. Unless, Prophet Abraham had performed it before, which I do not believe.
I believe that Circumcision is an old Egyptian Culture that the Jews inherited after they lived with them for more than 600 years.
