    Peace,
The quranic, NT, and OT facts shows otherwise; please read Yousuf Chapter and you will note that this was the beginning of their Migration to Egypt, and then read Moses stories and you will note when they migrated back to the Promised Land.
    Thank you

    Peace

I've read something that said that the word 'misr' actually means market or something like that and not the name of a country. Have you heard about this? If so, what are your views?

bible? not really. unless you count the songs they sing in church. growing up we used to go to church once/twice a year for a couple of years, if i remember right we used to sing songs from the psalm. Dunno if that's the same thing - it was a long time ago.

As a God-alone Christian I feel a close relationship with Quran-alone, God-alone Muslims. A dialog between the two can only benefit both with a result that we can throw off our differences and pre-existing bias to bring us even closer. What is your real purpose on this forum?

group yes I agree. I find this forum to be rich in knowledge.

                Selam

I have read some of it but not all. Currently I am reading 'The King James Version of the
                Holy Bible'.

I have currently read this and it puzzles me

Genesis {179} And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my
covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their
generations. {1710} This my covenant, which ye shall
keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every
man child among you shall be circumcised. {1711} And ye
shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a
token of the covenant betwixt me and you.

Who is this command for? I ask because christians do not perform circumcision.

That command was a test as the Quran says about the Sabbath and also the slaughtering of the cow was a test and so was eating from the forbidden fruit(Adam)

91.11. The Thamud rejected through their inordinate wrong-doing,

                1. Behold, the most wicked man among them was deputed .

                2. But the Messenger of God said to them "It is a She-camel of God And having her drink!"

                3. Then they rejected him , and they hamstrung her. So their Lord, on account of their crime, obliterated their traces and made them equal !

                4. And for Him is no fear of its consequences.
