How sex before Marriage is not haram (prohibited) according to the Quran
-
So how about Pre-Marital Sex for Money I.e. Prostatution?
Because I mean, If we are going to say Pre-Marital sex is Okay... then we should probabily say Prostatution is OKay too.
I mean, why not? Your having Sex for enjoyment, and getting other external benifits in the Process. Then If Prostatution is okay, Then how about Gay Homosexual sex too? that seems okay....
Wait....Then if thats okay...Hey what the Hell Abortion, Drinking Alcohol, and Doing Drugs too!Haha Great! Now When you have a Non-Muslim and a Muslim standing next to eachother...You cant even Tell the Difference!
Amazing...Infact, Then America and Denmark are probabily the Most Islamic Countries on Earth! woohoo!
Then since we'er that close...lets just forget Islam entierly...it wouldnt be much a difference... Cool!
astaghfirullah (Sarcasm)
I have a Side Question for Everyone...
*If you believe Pre-marital sex is not haraam, and you meet a Girl...Would you still be with her known that she had like 100 guys have sex with her in the past? I mean, Since Premartial sex is not Haraam...Then getting with a woman who had sex with 100 guys shouldnt be a problem either...
I wonder... Do any of you get a disqusting feeling about someone who has pre-marital sex with multipul partners?
humm...wouldnt that be called Fornication? And then if Premartial sex is okay...then how many guys could the woman have? can she have Multipul Pre-marital sex parnters?
Perhaps even have sex with 20 guys at the same time?
I mean, if Islam is going to condone this....then whats the difference from a Muslim and a Kaffir? The thread will answer some of your questions hopefully.
peace

Objections, Zina
1732 zina is a fahisha dont go NEAR it. You saidUnless you take the root Zay-Nun-Ya or Fa-Ha-Shin to literally mean premarital sex, the prohibition of sex before marriage is not stated in the Quran.
How else do you take it? Focus on zina not fahisha. Zina as fornication and as adultery, do you take it to mean something else?
So premarital sex is ok after vasectomy? What other objections would be left?
No, no, no, no, no you silly boy! Who said sex was just for children? What about all the women who cannot get pregnant and the men who cannot father? No, the objection is not about children/pregnancy or not. Its about the legal grounds of it, the act or not. Having children is just a stronger argument against it.
Point A shoudn't include that it is permissible because of
O ye who believe! make not unlawful the good things which Allah hath made lawful for you, but commit no excess for Allah loveth not those given to excess. Now if you find a verse that implies that it's bad, then 587 is overruled. But if not 587 maintains point A
Its good only within bounds, until proven. so don't categorise yet. prove it then say it is good/lawful
If you are impartial to your heart and reason with respect to wether such an act is a transgression or a type of fahasha, then you've done nothing wrong. BUT i highly doubt that your heart and reason can conclude this. So the example you gave is not really relevant to denying pre-marital sex.
My point is for you to think that it's not (just) about premarital sex. you think mma automatically means someone to have sex with that is my point to look outside the box you're clouded with.
2233 And the mothers are allowed to suckle their children two full years, if they wish to complete the suckling. And the man for whom the child is born is responsible for both their provisions and clothing equitably. A soul is not burdened except with what it can bear. No mother shall be harmed because of her child, nor shall a father be harmed because of his child. And for the guardian is the same requirement. So if they wish to separate out of mutual agreement and counsel, then there is no sin upon them. And if you want to hire nursing mothers, then there is no sin upon you if you return what you have been given equitably. And be aware of God, and know that God is watching over what you do.
I read it I thought it was the separation about the weaning but lets go by your thought. Read the contexts, the verses before and after are about wives, why? This verse specifically says mothers because I think there is a reason. Not all wives have children or their own children. E.g. go into marriage with husband who has children or vice versa. So its specific as to who is the responsible not that it is evidence of premarital responsibilities.
This is how I see it, Quran seems to be for marriage, advices about marriage why not mma? there is a hikma behind it, at least i think there is. Anyway later this week or next Im going to look into things and see what comes up

The argument from ignorance, also known as argumentum ad ignorantiam ("appeal to ignorance"), argument by lack of imagination, or negative evidence, is a logical fallacy in which it is claimed that a premise is true only because it has not been proven false, or is false only because it has not been proven true.
The argument from personal incredulity, also known as argument from personal belief or argument from personal conviction, refers to an assertion that because one personally finds a premise unlikely or unbelievable, the premise can be assumed to be false, or alternatively that another preferred but unproven premise is true instead.
Both arguments commonly share this structure a person regards the lack of evidence for one view as constituting proof that another view is true. The types of fallacies discussed in this article should not be confused with the reductio ad absurdum method of argument, in which a valid logical contradiction of the form "A and not A" is used to disprove a premise.
Eating my own Feces wile having premarital sex with 10 women and 10 men wile sucking on a Pork-Fat made Popsicle and snorting cocain/injecting heorin
Is NOT HARAM because The Quran never mentions that! (Fallacy)Reasoning Only Pork FAT is haram, (eating feces are not haram) Having sex with Multipul non-married partners is not Haram, Beging Homosexual is not haram, and also The Quran Doesnt actually Forbid Alcohol or any drugs...So therefore snorting Cocain and ingecting Black tar heroin Must be Acceptible....
Just because the Quran doesnt say something doesnt make it Halal and it doesnt make it Haraam. That is called Argument to Ignorance Fallacy.
Rather I would Use My Logic and Verses of the Quran.
For instance, In the Quran it says "EAT GOOD FOOD"...Therefore, Obviously You should not eat Pork FAT or your own Feces since those are "Bad Foods"...
It says to guard your chasity and do not commit Zina (Fornication OR adultery) and it says Stay Away from Intoxicants...That could be Alcohol AND Cocain and Heroin... and it always Talks about WIVES, therefore Obviously ONLY a WOMAN can be a Wife, and ONLY a WIFE can be a Gril to have sex with...(not a Grilfriend or a Co-Worker)Remember The Quran says That There WILL be those who Use their twisted Logic to try and misinterpet verses of scripture to fit their Life style.
There are many meanings in the Quran...Some Rightious people and God understand them, and Some people pervert interpetation. -
I was looking at sura 2 and it looks like there is a guideline on pregnancy outside of marriage.
What do people think of this2233 And the mothers are allowed to suckle their children two full years, if they wish to complete the suckling.
The reason i've quoted the above
- There is no wife or husband used thus no implication of this being a husband and wife relationship.
- Point 1 is further backed by the fact that the verse says seperate out of mutual agreement instead of using the word talaghwhich is always used when talking of marriages.
The reason why we are going in circles is because you are not defining what do you mean by the term "husband and wife" and how is that different from any other couple.
If we look at the criteria as laid out in the Quran(i have not researched this as its not been my interest so far) it talks about man and woman, it talks about providence and financial obligation, and it talks about living together, and it talks about lack of sexual promiscuity.
WE can try to see what are the criteria the Quran laid out. But saying marriage and husband and wife and assuming that this seperates itself from any other couple is ambiquous argument.
Prostitution does not fit this criteria.
-
A sura which We have sent down and which We have ordained in it have We sent down Clear Signs, in order that ye may receive admonition.
-
The woman and the man guilty of adultery ,- flog each of them with a hundred stripes Let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day and let a party of the Believers witness their punishment.
-
Let no man guilty of adultery marry and but a woman similarly guilty, or an Unbeliever nor let any but such a man or an Unbeliever marry such a woman to the Believers such a thing is forbidden.
-
And those who launch a charge against chaste women, and produce not four witnesses (to support their allegations),- flog them with eighty stripes; and reject their evidence ever after for such men are wicked transgressors;-
-
Unless they repent thereafter and mend (their conduct); for Allah is Oft- Forgiving, Most Merciful.
-
And for those who launch a charge against their spouses, and have (in support) no evidence but their own,- their solitary evidence (can be received) if they bear witness four times (with an oath) by Allah that they are solemnly telling the truth;
-
And the fifth (oath) (should be) that they solemnly invoke the curse of Allah on themselves if they tell a lie.
-
But it would avert the punishment from the wife, if she bears witness four times (with an oath) By Allah, that (her husband) is telling a lie;
-
And the fifth (oath) should be that she solemnly invokes the wrath of Allah on herself if (her accuser) is telling the truth.
-
If it were not for Allah.s grace and mercy on you, and that Allah is Oft- Returning, full of Wisdom,- (Ye would be ruined indeed).
Here we can see that primiscuity is forbidden. But what we are not defining is what the Quran means by "azwaj". We know the Quran uses that turn to mean some form of partnership and some form of companionship and some form of aoth and responsibility. It also as I said seem to indicate living arrangement and financial arrangement perhaps with knowledge of family or community. We also know there is some form of dowry though this is not compulsory. I am not sure about all this since I have not really looked into it and just relying on memeory of the various verses.
It also seems to betalking about man and woman. Thats a very similar arrangement to any commited couples who live together and share responsibilities to each othet and some from of sexual obligation towards each other.
Before we talk about this subject we should first tried to define what is meant by marriage and what are the criteria laid out in the Quran that defines that relationship and then we can talk about sex outside marriage. Was not the verses I quoted is talking about sex outside of that marriage arrangement or am I wrong.
My Arabic is not good and many of these woman and man verses in the Quran have been fudged by Sunnis and the original Arabic regarding these verses tend to be difficult.
Maybe Samia can contribute to tranlsat some of the verses regarding this subject.
I just want to know what do we mean by marriage.
Whe the question was raised like pre marital sex, its not clear what is meant by that. If we are talking about what happens sometimes is that couples simply did not file some papar work and thus are having pre marital sex, then I fail to see how that fits the Quran's definition of Zina.
If you are talking about casual sex, then this fits the zina definition especially where there is an obligation you have with somebody else. Casual sex is only prostitution or one night standers. But then again the Quran seems to highlight this form of sex only when a person has an obligation and partnership wih someone else.
Sunnis see this different. For them a marriage is simply some process even if the couple do not share a living arrangement and financial obligation. Anotherwords, you shake a few hands, sign some papers, bring a few people around and 5 minutes later you are married" and now you can treat her like a mistress.

Great Post indeed Bigmo! ;D D
I really enjoyed that!
I from my "limited" understanding I agree with you about what marriage means.I see it as a Union of a Male and Female (some times up to 4 females under Serious conditions/agreement)
Financial/living/sex/some form of dowery, and Community Recognition that you two are taken....so that people can bear witness for or against you. When you are having Pre-marital sex, there is no way to prove anything.
To me, Homosexual sex is as useless as fornication/promiscuous relationships. Its like....if your intention is not to Marry...Then Dont have sex. period.
Realistically, Sex is really just Pro-creation. thats all it is.... Pleasure is only an additional aspect that is packaged within...
Most of us...( I dont want to be a hypocrate)... Issue Pleasure as the Number 1 reason/purpose for sex.
But Realistically/Logically, the Number 1 reason/purpose for sex is "BABY MAKING"...
and Baby Making is best done when the two Parties have decided to Creat a Union togeather. Its like the SUN and the RAIN. The Developement of a Seed that grows into a Plant needs Both SUN and Water...

Indeed there are those who wish to follow their desires and thus forgoe and manipulate their own reasoning and the evidence from a scripture they are supposedly upholding just so instead of what could be the truth, they can stick to their desirous beliefs.
A classis exmaple. Some sunnis. They will turn away from much evidence just because their desperate to maintain their beliefs.
The argument from ignorance and personal incredulity.....it's interesting to me that in some of my replys I commented and discussed the verses and refuted or accepted things via the verses. What i see from you is a dislike so strong that you are not even willing to approach the scripture with an open mind on this issue. My reason for this assumption, is your tone, your lack of quoting the Quran and your lack of attention to what's been already said on the thread. If you have an objection from the Quran, then point to it so it can be discussed. Because your personal dislike on this issue is strong (from what it looks like) i doubt that me and you will get anywhere by trying to reason on this issue. So let's use the scripture.

No, no, no, no, no you silly boy! Who said sex was just for children? What about all the women who cannot get pregnant and the men who cannot father? No, the objection is not about children/pregnancy or not. It?s about the legal grounds of it, the act or not. Having children is just a stronger argument against it.I see it purely as someone who is already married having sex outside of marriage. Or someone having sex with someone else with the knowledge that they are married or someone having sex with other than MMA. The story of Joseph provides an example.
It?s good only within bounds, until proven. so don't categorise yet. prove it then say it is good/lawful
Sex is a good thing. Like everything else how it's used and done effect it's goodness or make it bad. But to automatically say that the whole of sex is prohibited unless in nikah is unfair IMO. Consider the less controversial exmaples.
My point is for you to think that it's not (just) about premarital sex. you think mma automatically means someone to have sex with that is my point to look outside the box you're clouded with.
I am arguing from Quran alone first then i plan on discussing this in more detail. MMA can range but ultimately it is someone who you have an oath with. The seriousness of this oath can also range. But Private parts need not be guarded to them just as they need not be guarded with spouses and so far i have argued that sex can be done with MMA as there is nothing that limits how the private parts should be guarded except what i have already stated in the article.
From where in AQ are you getting this limitation from that sex cannot be done with MMA? Is it the absence of guidelines? or something else? Whatever it is, if you make that point clear or the most important point clear, then we can progress a bit faster. You have mentioned various things so far and i have answered them to my abillity. Where do you think i have not sufficiently answered?
I read it I thought it was the separation about the weaning but let?s go by your thought. Read the contexts, the verses before and after are about wives, why? This verse specifically says mothers because I think there is a reason. Not all wives have children or their own children. E.g. go into marriage with husband who has children or vice versa. So it?s specific as to who is the responsible not that it is evidence of premarital responsibilities.
I spent about an hour looking at those verses from 2224 onwards. Why not state married mother as free-minds have translated? or more importantly why say seperate in place of talagh? This is a clear guideline for ALL mothers and fathers. I am confident that more will surface if we look into it. The subject of oaths is one in which much can be derived from.
This is how I see it, Quran seems to be for marriage, advices about marriage why not mma? there is a hikma behind it, at least i think there is. Anyway later this week or next I?m going to look into things and see what comes up
what is hikma?
The Quran is a complete book. It would not leave anything out. For sex to be restricted only to spouses, it would have been made sufficiently clear. I don't see that it has. I see more guidelines for a nikah contract because it is a very serious commitment and thus the necessity of more guidelines. I believe sufficient guidelines are there for relationships with someone outside of marriage.Good luck with your research.
May God guide to the truthpeace

Quran is a Guide -not mere laws to be practised! Its based on Brain, Decision to live a just life & the Practical Steps.
IMO the Quran is a guide but with laws and advice to be followed. Laws and advice to be based on the brain and not followed untill acknowledged by the brain in an impartial manner. It is for your benefit and not God's. The scripture itself makes these clear.

Salaaam Nim,
Well, Its not so much that I am Strong and offensive, Its just my sarcasm..... Im sorry, sometimes I can get sarcastic and sound intolerable.
I understand what you are saying completely. Of course, We should look at the Quran with an Open Mind. But after reading the Previous Scripture, (Gospel and Torah) Because the Quran Does instruct us to do, and reading the Context of the Quran, it would seem that there is a natural consensus that Pre-Marital sex is forbidden or should stay awayfrom. There are many implications, and many illicit things that can arrise out of this.I guess part of the reason why I may have seemed a little strongly against this is because of ther Personal experiences I have seen. Within my childhood I have seen how Pre-marital fornication and Permiscuuousness has effected my family structure in a negitive way. So Perhaps I may have some sort of Bias thoughts toawrds it.
I guess I have never seen any good arrise out of this in my family or in anybody elses life. So that to me is proof enough (even if it is a Fallacy).
I will inshallah try to use Quran next time to support my claims. I do wish to ingage in this discussion in a Logical and Intellectual way to further progress my understanding of Islam.

And what is the verses in surat al noor talking about then?
Which part? In relation to what?
