Hello friends
My name is Salman and i am a relatively newer "God Alone" revert. I immigrated to Canada in 2001 from Pakistan. I am from a typical "sheep mentality" sunni family where i blindly believed everything i was told about Islam. About two years ago, i picked up the Quran myself and first time in my short 33 year lifespan, i started to read it myself. It was not long before i finally realized that how wrong were the so many concepts, stories and beliefs that i held to myself about Islam. As i moved along reading the Quran, so many questions that i had kept on getting answered one by one.
I have also read the Bible and i sometimes do dawah to christians too and i find them much more willing and open to listen to criticism. I have given a few lectures on islam at a few churches locally here as well. It is my daily schedule to read and research the Quran and tell the truth to all others who are willing to listen. I think it is more important for us muslims to do dawah to our fellow muslims since so many of us are blindly following every other book but the Quran.
I thank Allah for guiding me to the right direction i.e. "God Alone" since on the day of judgement, it will be just me and him. No Bukhari, Muslim, Muhammad, Jesus or any other prophet or imam.
I would like to connect with other like minded individuals on this awesome forum who are from Canada (Toronto).
Also, i am looking for Edip Yuskel's translation locally in Toronto but cant seem to find a copy in local book stores. I will appreciate if someone can help me find it.
Thanks and Wasalam

Hello I am new here as well, and I am also a new revert to God Alone.
I was born and raised in Saudi Arabia but am of Indian origin. I was raised believing that I am a Sunni muslim and do not remember anyone telling me that hadith is not to be put on par with the Qu'ran or not used a source of legislation. I came to Canada at the age of 8. Growing up I was not very religious and even had an atheist phase which embarrassed me deeply upon personal reflection of this phase as I grew older and began to once again believe in a creator as I was taught to when I was a child.
When I came to Canada my parents did not force religion upon me or set up sessions with someone learned in the Qu'ran who taught me to recite it in Arabic, a language which I was only beginning to learn and yet learned to recite the Qu'ran in Arabic completely (I have since forgotten large sections of the Qu'ran in its original Arabic language however I remember some verses in the original language, along with verses I have re learned in a language I understand)
I began becoming interested/reverted to this religion out of my own accord about 2 years ago.
Only about 5 days ago I entered a phrase into google that changed my life "hadith which contradict the Qu'ran"
At first I described myself as one of those who "only follow the hadith which do not contradict the Qu'ran"
For the past 4-5 days I have spent at least an hour and a half if not more everyday reading sites like this one and quranic.org
Of all the quotes from the Qu'ran which have been presented to me arguing in favour of the position of Allah ALONE, one of them stood out to me like a large polished diamond and in my opinion is the only thing one needs to say when speaking with those who insist on a place for hadith in Islam is the following
We did not leave anything out of this book. (63

Salaam brother AK85, welcome
Mashaa ALLAH brother! I wonder what the SECTARIANS, i.e., Sunnis, Shi'ahs, and... what not, have to say to justify their views against 638.
With salaam,

Well, like most of time ignorance of the meaning of the words .
There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered.

God here didn't talk about Quran , the book is the " " the book where God mentioned everything with its destiny and his will(the will of God). Your problem guys here is just taking the translation of the words without its real meaning .

ahh the archived board )
so why did he say kitab? Why did He say the book and not the archived board? Why does the next verse talk of those who rejected the verses? we dont know the verses in the archived board do we?
It seems you are still in the time of ignorance and have to misinterpret Gods CLEAR Words to match YOUR agenda as a hadithist and worshipper of a man.

You know what, I realized that after and I researched the full quote. It is most likely correct that what you said.
Now can you give me your commentary on this verse however?
And a day/time, We send/resurrect/revive in every nation/generation a witness/testifier on them from themselves, and We came with you (as) a witness/testifier on those, and We descended on you The Book (a) clarification/explanation to every thing, and guidance, and mercy, and a good news to the Moslems/submitters/surrenderers.
