So now you are questioning the truth of the Qu'ran?
the truth is unavoidable that Quran doesn't explain EVERYTHING!! Pause and reflect! thanks
-
Or do you believe it was forged, or an addition to the Qu'ran that was not originally there?
I cannot find it at the moment, but there is a verse from the Qu'ran that says not to implore Allah for the things which he has not mentioned.
So you cannot implore Him, or anyone who claims to have gotten guidance from Him and His commands for the explanation on things which he has not explained. And then it says God is all forgiving, most merciful, most compassionate.
So where would you search then for these explanations? You can use your eyesight, and hearing and you brain, which God has commanded you to use to verify things. In other words, the scientific method...

and now the "ifs" and "buts"? as I said the truth is unavoidable good friend!

quran doesn't even explain the method of salaat, how can we say that it explains EVERYTHING? that is too big of a claim!
and I didn't say that, we don't say that, that's what the Qu'ran says...and I showed you many translations, some of them are followers of the hadith like yourself I'm sure...

The Quran doesn't explains everything.
It only explain things which are being required as a guidance to live a good life.
The whole objective of the why God gives the Quran is explained in the 'introductory section' of the second chapter."This is the Scripture whereof there is no doubt, a guidance unto those who are "mutaqqin".
Who believe in the unknown, and uphold their commandment, and spend of that We have bestowed upon them;
And who believe in that which has been revealed to you and that which was revealed before you and they are certain of the hereafter."
(22-4)While God (through other means) teaches / reveal all the things to humankind that they initially know not.
Those revelations doesn't end 1400 years ago, it's a continuing process up until know..
And God guides those whom He wishes...Salam / Peace

You know I was talking to this one guy who was admonishing me for not accepting hadith, and when I showed him this verse along with one that says the Qu'ran is fully detailed, he says to me
Does the Qu'ran talk about biology? Fully Detailed?
Does the Qu'ran talk about dinosaurs? Fully Detailed?...
my reply was basically the Qu'ran does not speak of these two because knowledge of these two are not required to get into heaven...the Qu'ran is not supposed to be a textbook or a manual for aspiring biologists and paleontologists...its a blueprint for life's moral dilemmas and a clear way that shows how one gets into hell, and how one gets into heaven...things which are not covered are things which God does not want you to worry about...

So you are saying that GOD lied when he said he says in the Quran that it "explains all things" and that he did'nt do as good a job of explaining it unlike your god bukhari ???
quran doesn't even explain the method of salaat, how can we say that it explains EVERYTHING? that is too big of a claim!
The quran tells us REPEATEDLY to STAND, BOW AND POSTRATE, not to ascribe ANY partners to him (which you are doing by following the stupid hadith books of men), not to call on anybody elses name in prayer e.g. muhammed, jesus, sahaba e.t.c and to pray using a moderate tone.
Before you ask how many rakas we should do using the Quran Alone, well may be if you used your common sense, if GOD said that the Quran is fully detailed and yet he left that detail out, then don't you thing that GOD was not really bothered about how many rakats we should do and if he thought that the number of rakats we do during prayer was indeed important then maybe he would have mentioned it?
What kind of "muslim" says or asks stupid stuff like you have about a book they say comes from GOD and are sopposed to believe came from GOD ??? ??? ???
And a day/time, We send/resurrect/revive in every nation/generation a witness/testifier on them from themselves, and We came with you (as) a witness/testifier on those, and We descended on you The Book (a) clarification/explanation to every thing, and guidance, and mercy, and a good news to the Moslems/submitters/surrenderers. But instead he believes the words of Bukhari or PUKEhari
Salaam George,
I understand that you may hold grudges against traditional Islam, but may I advise that you use humble and modest words when you express your opinions? The Qur'an advises that we speak in gentle words whenever we address everyone (even the disbelievers), and even if we are engaged in an argument, we are commanded to reply with equal, and if not, better terms.
We may be frustrated with some people who "do not see it the way we do", but that is the test that we have to face. We have to exercise patience and show that we can walk with humility.
I am not defending Bukhari or other muhadithin, but I want to say that we currently view them as 'the antagonists'. However, we did not truly know what their intentions were in collecting hadiths. They might do it for political reasons or corrupting Islam, but they might actually be genuine in their desire to preserve the sayings and the deeds of the Prophet. Only God knows. It's like... we are doing what we believe to preserve the true Islam, but we are currently seen as the 'antagonists' and enemies of Islam by others. What would you feel if people address you with derogatory remarks?
Sorry if I offend you in anyway. But it disheartens me when I see anyone speak harshly, especially when they claim to uphold a System that is basically about establishing peace on Earth. We represent what we believe, through our actions and words.
Salaam.

You know what, I realized that after and I researched the full quote. It is most likely correct that what you said.
Well, first of all I've got your ignorance . You talk without knowledge which is forbidden in Quran and look for it in Quran that you claimed that you followed it ( not exactely as I see) . And I've proved that you're wrong . You're not alone in this , the whole webiste (some members not).
Now can you give me your commentary on this verse however?
with pleasure, as it seems right ahead your second ignorance of the matter .
The word in Arabic is "" and the "" is what needs the "" (who is going to explain it and interpret it by deeds and sayings and reports which is by definition Hadith) . the end of the story .
God didn't say "" . Go figure .

Great post. What we do and say (our words and actions) tells people much about who we are. If islam based on quran is the true islam and the best islam, then its followers have to be the best as well. If we tell people that Islam based on quran is the true islam and that we are following the best way, then our belief system have to manifest this in our characters. We can not be incongruent. We can not and we will not loose our integrity. We have to practice what we believe.
Born again, your philosophy/understanding of the Quran is similar to my philosophy. I wish more people would adapt this mentality.
We will argue with people in the best way/most kindest way
16125 (Asad) CALL THOU (all mankind] unto thy Sustainer's path with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and argue with them in the most kindly manner- for, behold, thy Sustainer knows best as to who strays from His path, and best knows He as to who are the right-guided.
We can learn from the story of Muhammed. There are lessons in these verse below. (We should be understanding and humble and kind when we discuss)
3159 (Asad) And it was by God's grace that thou didst deal gently with thy followers for if thou hadst been harsh and hard of heart, they would indeed have broken away from thee. Pardon them, then, and pray that they be forgiven. And take counsel with them in all matters of public concern; then, when thou hast decided upon a course of action, place thy trust in God for, verily, God loves those who place their trust in Him.
We will not ridicule anyone
4911 O you who believe, let not any people ridicule other people, for they may be better than they. Nor shall any women ridicule other women, for they may be better than they. Nor shall you mock one another, or call each other names; miserable indeed is the name of wickedness after attaining faith. And anyone who does not repent, then these are the transgressors.
We will follow the best way
3918 The ones who listen to what is being said, and then follow the best of it. These are the ones whom God has guided, and these are the ones who possess intelligence.
3955 And follow the best of what has been sent down to you from your Lord, before the retribution comes to you suddenly when you least expect it.
God sees everything we do
1061 And any matter you are in, or any reciting you do of the Quran, or any work you do; We are witnesses over you when you undertake it. Nothing is hidden from your Lord, not even the weight of an atom on the earth or in the heavens, nor smaller than that nor larger, except it is in a clear record.
We will be questioned for what we do/say
4344 And this is indeed a reminder for you and your people; and you will all be questioned.
Even an atom's weight of good or bad actions/words will be counted
997 So whoever does the weight of an atom of good will see it.
998 And whoever does the weight of an atom of evil will see it. -
Salaam Brother David_K,
Thank you for the reply ). Yeah, I do hope everyone can have peaceful heart and do what they have to do without harming anyone. As much as I believe that I am on the right Path with my understanding of islam, I try to be very careful not to 'worship my ideology'. You know... thinking that I must be right and whoever doesn't think the same way must be wrong, and hence falling into excessive pride and egoism p, which can push us away from other people.
Anyway, I've read some of your posts and it's been interesting read (not stalking lol). May God lead us all ).

RE POST
Selam BornAgain & David K

That's all I am trying to do believe it or not.
But thats just it the hadith followers are not following the prophet according to the Quran and hadith.
Fair enough but the hadith following so-called muslims who come here insulting us even when we did not start of mocking their believes, are also sopposed to follow that verse.
The Quran also encourages us to speak the truth (even if the truth seems harsh) I use harsh words when I see so called muslims come on here and defend things like stonning to death of women and marrying and having sex with underage girls all becuase of what the stupid hadith they are following says and as any decent human being, I get very angry especially when these are the things that the white racist western media shows and which encourages people in the west to descriminate and attack muslims.
I myself (along with many other prople of color) have been stopped and search by police several times (4 times in my case)becuase we were suspected of being "terrorists" whilst being black/non-white and wearing back packs and this all happened when at the time when I wasnt even a muslim.
This is not helped when so-called muslims are following and defending the very hadith books which are condemed by GOD many times in the Quran and are which are destroying the TRUE image of Islam and giving these negative stereotypes against muslims. We may be frustrated with some people who "do not see it the way we do", but that is the test that we have to face. We have to exercise patience and show that we can walk with humility.
It is not a question of being patient with him becuase like the Quran says he does not have to whorship what I whorship and I do not have to whorship what he whorships, to him his religion, to me mine and it makes no difference to me if hadith followers "do not see it the way we do", becuase it is GOD who guides who he wills and leads astray who he wills.
It is question of being a warner and it's up to him whether he listens or not becuase like the Quran also says "there is no compulsion in religion".I am not defending Bukhari or other muhadithin, but I want to say that we currently view them as 'the antagonists'.
If you have read the Bukhari hadith , which no doubt you have then it should be obvious to you and anyone who reads it that his intentions were to slander GOD and the prophet. Also I have been called derogatory remarks by so-called muslims caling me "kufir" when I told them that I did not follow hadith based on what the Quran and hadith and I was doing it in a humble way. Now I am sorry if i'm not as good as a muslim as you but when you a called kuffir by those who you know truely are the kuffirs, their hypocracy will eventually make you annyoed or even angry and the Quran says that we should stand up to injustice even against ourselves or even against our parents and which also means to speak out against those who are themselves are not acting whcih is based on what the Quran says.
Sorry if I offend you in anyway. But it disheartens me when I see anyone speak harshly, especially when they claim to uphold a System that is basically about establishing peace on Earth. We represent what we believe, through our actions and words.
I agree with you that the system is basically to establish peace on earth, but you should also know from reading the Quran that the persecuted muslims had to fight many battles of self defence to establish that peace and whilst Islam does not encourage agression it does encourage self-dence (which can be verbally) and the defence of any innocent human being whether muslim or non-muslim (which can also be verbally) and the Quran also says that if a people who are fighting against you give you peace then you give them peace and that the way I treat hadith followers.
Surely someone like yourself who claims to uphold the system would understand that.Any way thanks for the post
