- Why was Mariam in an enclosure?
- Why was she cut off from the world?
- Who was the person who interacted with Mariam? Why he only?
- Was it first time he saw the food?
- Did he being a Prophet did not knew that God can provide food if willing?
- Why he asked for progeny (pure), after Mariam mentioned of provisions provided by Allah?
- His mentioning of his age in his prayers? what does it mean?
Now read the following
Al-quran
And recall in the Scripture Mary, when she withdrew herself from her family to a place which was to the east
While a barrier separated her from them, we sent to her our Spirit. He went to her in the form of a human beingHe said, "I am the messenger of your Lord, to grant you a pure son."
Therefore there is no room left Allah ordering her to BOW down in the company of MEN, she was not even in the company of her Family?
But the question is why she seperated herself from her family? Now when you will find answers to above I think you will, not question me any more.
Al-quran
So she was pregnant with him, and she went to deliver in a far placeRaajah, why not you listen when I suggest you to first acquaint yourself a little bit with Arabic particles which will give you some sense to understand what is happening in what sequence and where is it happening.
And also make an habit of seeing Arabic text instead of translation alone. All your questions above are the result of poor reading of text and absolutely childish understanding of events.
She, moved in the Eastern part of her own home, and she drew a partition which disables both parties to have visibility of each other. This should at least give you an idea that it is a different occasion and a different place than sanctuary where Zakaria alahissalam kept visiting her.

And you, the Messenger mention from the Book about Maryam when she had consciously and purposely decided to seclude herself from her household/family members in the eastern part of house;Object of the verb is the "location" qualified as eastern with relation to other household. Qur'aan, in fact, narrates the episode in such words that a reader can exactly see in his perception the actual happening, provided he tries to understand the Arabic words and their relationship with others.

whereby she adopted apart from them a partitioned seclusion.

Thereupon We sent Our Messenger whereupon he assumed for her appearance of a well proportioned human being.Read...............
and then

Accordingly she uplifted him for which reason she left along with him for a remote place.I keep underlinging words of Ayat to make the reader attentive to apply his intellect to find the difference. The moment she bacame pregnant she had left for an unknown distant place, without the knowledge of anyone. And read onwards to find her in a desert.

He would ask, "Mary, where did you get this from?" She would say, "It is from GOD. GOD provides for whomever He chooses, without limits."
This is statement and perception of gossip mongers and story writers, not the statement of Qur'aan. Qur'aan is telling simple happening. "Each and every time Zakaria had entered the sanctuary to meet her, he always had found by her side some of eatables. He asked, "O Maryam! how/from where you get this sustenance?"
.the above statement is only wrong in 'he would ask' and 'she would say' and is the same as the Quran verse you have just posted and says the same thing only raj implies it happened often whereas the verse itself implies he asked once. So how can it be the 'perception of gossip mongers and story tellers' rather than a misuse of English grammar or misunderstanding of it on Raj's part? ??? Zakariya visited daily and one day he asked where her food came from, no gossip no story telling.

- Did he being a Prophet did not knew that God can provide food if willing?
Only a retarded child puts questions like this. When he got the information of getting son, why is he then arguing and narrating negativities involved in getting a son? Did he not know Allah can do anything He likes?
Raajah adopt habit of applying little common sense. Anything for which there is no apparent reason one tends to enquire about it. -
I have answered that, see 3.35-37
335 and 336 doesnot answer the question
Behold! a woman of 'Imran said "O my Lord! I do dedicate unto Thee what is in my womb for Thy special service So accept this of me For Thou hearest and knowest all things."
and between episode of 336 and 337 do you know how many years, distance they carry? are you in youir senses.
Right graciously did her Lord accept her He made her grow in purity and beauty To the care of Zakariya was she assigned. Every time that he entered (Her) chamber to see her, He found her supplied with sustenance. He said "O Mary! Whence (comes) this to you?" She said "From Allah for Allah Provides sustenance to whom He pleases without measure."
So you mean to say after her birth till, the birth of her son, she was in the enclosure, under supervison of Zakria, and Zakria only asked her about the food, in all those years, that particular day, when she was or to be was pergnant?
Or is it some thing else you want to tell me?
The difference between Yayha and Isa is only SIX months, according to Luke. -

Mary had been in the service of God all her life, was given food from aparently nowhere and knew it was from God but still questioned HOW when He told her she would have a son.

Mary's mother is verse 3.35
Mary is born is verse 3.36, Mary the child is dedicated to the service of GOD and under the protection/care of Zakariya.
Verse 3.37 is saying that EVERY TIME he visited she had food, and THIS TIME he asked her how.
verse 3.38 Zakariya asks God for a child like her
verse 3.39 God tells him of a son called John
verse 3.40 Zakariya questions how and is told how
verse 3.41 Zakariya asks for a sign "He said "O my Lord! Give me a Sign!" "Thy Sign," was the answer, "Shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three days but with signals. Then celebrate the praises of thy Lord again and again, and glorify Him in the evening and in the morning."
does that make sense now? yes Mary was in the service of the Lord all her life and spent most days/nights in seclusion praying, why is that so hard to understand? Yes from verse 36 - 37 is many years but there is no need for Quran to tell you the entire events of her life, just the important ones.
The difference between Yayha and Isa is only SIX months, according to Luke.
What has that got to do with anything? Elizabeth got pregnant before Mary and had John before Mary had Jesus. Mary is told she will have a son at this time but she wasnt actually giving birth then, she gets pregnant and leaves and goes to her cousin Elizabeth, Zakariyas wife who is pregnant already, about 5 or 6 months.
What is so hard about that?

Raj PLEASE THINK. I posted all this above

Thanks Allah, you know the red part.
Now keeping this in Mind, and what you said that she spend most of her days in seclusion/isolation in the service of Allah (which is not true), read the following verses
Mention in the scripture Mary. She isolated herself from her family, into an eastern location.
While a barrier separated her from them, we sent to her our Spirit. He went to her in the form of a human being
.He said, "I am the messenger of your Lord, to grant you a pure son."
She said, "I seek refuge in the Most Gracious, that you may be righteous
She said, "How can I have a son, when no man has touched me; I have never been unchaste."Now go back to 345
And the Angels said "O Mary, God gives good news of a word from Him whose name is the Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary. Honourable in this world and in the Hereafter, and from among those who are made close."
She said, "My Lord, how can I have a son, when no man has touched me?" He said, "GOD thus creates whatever He wills. To have anything done, He simply says to it, `Be,' and it is."He will teach him the scripture, wisdom, the Torah, and the Gospel."Look closely at the conversation between Mariam and the Spirit/angels, is it not the same place?
At both places she says "how can I have a Son? when no man has touched me?" it means the same story is been narrated.
Now if you bother to answer me Why Mariam was in Isolated place/enclosure? -
have made bold the particular part I fully agreed with so if you feel a need to have a go at someone then have a go at mazhar for calling you, not me who appeared to agree with it, however, now I do have to agree with all his post. Grow up
You have only made it bolder now, in absense of it?......
Regarding Mazhar let him on be his own, that is the way he most of time conversates. -

Now if you bother to answer me Why Mariam was in Isolated place/enclosure?she was praying! yes its the same conversation, look at the verses preceeding this in chapter 19 where the same conversation with Zakariya happens too, she was praying she was not giving birth as you claimed as she is just being told she will GET pregnant. She prayed in seclusion and then God tells her to pray WITH OTHERS.

You have only made it bolder now, in absense of it?......
Regarding Mazhar let him on be his own, that is the way he most of time conversates.Aww bless! ;D Someone calls you something you dont like and you think I have agreed with it, so you have a go at me (a woman) and leave the one that originally said it (a man)
shows your type in a blinding light raj ;D laugh

At both places she says "how can I have a Son? when no man has touched me?" it means the same story is been narrated. This concluding observation, that is why I keep saying Raaajah that you are half blind. In one place Angels are more than two; plural; and she is not responding to them, but interrupting them and directly addressing Allah. And read her words spoken to Allah. The second occassion is the isolated location at her own home. There only one Messenger Angel has intruded her privacy in the shape of nice mannered looking human being. And note here answer to him, this is more elaborate that her words to Allah, since she is making a living being of another species different from her, how a child is born in human beings. She is pointedly telling him that a child is born to a woman by touch of a man which has in turn two manners, in wedlock or in debauchery.

If it is the same conversation, than by default it is the same place, then why was she Isolated from others?
Any way I think it is just enough from my side.Any one who reads different verses from these two different Surah's about Mariam, can know that
How a Lady she was? and can Allah order her to bow down in the company of MEn?
and it is clear from these verses why Allah ordered her to be iSolated. But still we are Humans, we can understand only through our "small" minds, may Allah help us.
