    salam all,

Some people have no full faith in QURAN. They try to show the bellow statements.....
    How can we refute them?

Allah SWT says repeatedly in the Quran to obey both Him and the Messenger. One example is Surah an-Nisa ayah 59.

Ya ayyuha alladhina amanu ati Allaha wa ati ar-Rasul wa ulu'l-amr min kum. Fa in tanaza'tun fi shay'in fa rudduhu ilaAllahi wa ar-Rasul in kuntum tu'minuna bIllahi wa'l-Yawmi al-Akhir. Dhalika khayrun wa ahsanu ta'wil.

O you, those who have faith, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you dispute over a thing, then return it to Allah and the Messenger, if you have faith in Allah and the Last Day. That is better and more beautiful of interpretation.

He says that the Prophet (sAas) has been sent to explain the Quran, not just to deliver it (Surah an-Nahl ayah 44).

Bi al-bayyinat wa az-Zubur wa anzalna ilayka adh-Dhikra li-tubayyina li an-nas maa nuzzila ilayhim wa la'allahum yatafakkarun.

By clear proofs and scriptures, and We have sent down on you (O Prophet) the Reminder, that you can explain to humankind what is sent down for them and in order that they may reflect.

He says that people do not have faith if they do not take the Prophet (sAas) as the judge of their disputes (Surah an-Nisa ayah 65).

Fa laa wa Rabbika laa yu'minuna hatta yuhakkimuka fi maa shajara baynahum thumma laa yajidu fi anfusihim haraj min maa qadayta wa yusallimu taslima.

No, by your Lord and Sustainer, they do not have faith until they have you (O Prophet) judge what is disputed among them, then they do not find in their souls any distress at what you have decided, and they accept it wholly and completely.

He says that when He and the Prophet (sAas) have decided a matter, it is not for any believing man or woman to do anything but obey (Surah al-Ahzab ayah 36).

Wa maa kana li mu'min wa laa mu'minah idha qadaAllahu wa Rasuluhu amran an yakuna lahum al-khiyarat min amrihim wa man ya'siAllaha wa Rasulaha faqad dalla dalala mubin.

And it is not ever for a faithful man or a faithful woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided an affair that there is any choice for them in their affair, and who disobeys Allah and His Messenger, so he is indeed wandering far astray.

He says that what the Messenger gives, people should take, and what he prohibits, they should abstain from (Surah al-Hashr ayah 7).

...Wa maa atakum ar-Rasul fa khudhuhu wa maa nahakhum anhu fa intahu. Wa ittaquAllah innAllaha Shadid al-Iqab.

...And what the Messenger gives you, so take it, and what he prohibits you, so refrain from it. And be in awe of Allah. Surely Allah is Stern of Punishment.

How do we determine what the Prophet (sAas) has ordered, in order to obey it?

How do we find out what he judged in disputes so that we can abide by it?

How do we know what he has decided on matters, so that we can submit to it?

How do we discover what he has given, so that we can take it, or what he has prohibited, so we can abstain from it?

The answer to all these questions is very simple we look to the SUNNA. If you deny the validity of the Sunna then you may end up disobeying what the Prophet (sAas) has commanded, turning away from what he has judged, rejecting what he has decided, ignoring what he has given, and doing what he has prohibited.

And if you do these acts of disobedience, turning-away, rejecting, ignoring, and doing-the-prohibited then YOU HAVE DISOBEYED ALLAH. It's that simple. It is incumbent upon every Muslim to obey both the Quran and the Sunna.

      Salam,

Rather than wasting time refuting their deliberate mangling of verses (which will never end), it is in my opinoin a better approach to tackle them head on with the question "is the Quran complete?"

?'Shall I seek other than God as a judge when He has sent down to you the Book fully detailed?'? Those to whom We have given the Book know it is sent down from your Lord with truth; so do not be of those who have doubt." (Qur'an 6114 )

"Say 'Which is the greatest testimony?' Say 'God is witness between me and you, and He has inspired to me this Qur'an that I may warn you with it and whomever it reaches, that you bear witness that along with God are other gods!' Say 'I do not bear witness!' Say 'He is only One god, and I am innocent of what you set up!'? (Qur'an 619)

"And We have come to them with a Book which We have detailed with knowledge; a guide and a mercy to those who believe." (Qur'an 752)

"We have revealed to you the Book with truth that you may judge between the people by that which God has shown you, and do not be an advocate for the treacherous. " (Qur'an 4105)

"And the Day We send to every nation a witness against them from themselves, and We have brought you as a witness against these. And We have sent down to you the Book as a clarification for all things, and a guide and mercy and good tidings to those who have surrendered." (Qur'an 1689)

"And We have sent down to you the Book with truth, authenticating what is present of the Book and superseding it. So judge between them by what God has sent down, and do not follow their desires from what has come to you of the truth. For each of you We have made laws, and a structure; and had God willed, He would have made you all one nation, but He tests you with what He has given you; so strive to do good. To God you will return all of you, and He will inform you regarding that in which you dispute." (Qur'an 54

If they answer "no", then they have rejected the clear verses of the Quran quoted above and are calling God a liar (be He glorified from such nonsence).

If they answer "yes", then there is nothing left to debate.

Let me ask you some very STRAIGHTFORWARD Questions.

? Please let us know whether the Prophet, pbuh, was following The Qur'aan or he mixed it up with his own inventions too? In other words, tell us if the Prophet was a SUNNI or simply a MUSLIM, a follower of The Qur'aan ALONE.

? Did GOD say that we inherited SUNNAH on top of The Qur?aan too, or He said that He made us the inheritors of The Qur?aan ALONE? See verses 3531,32 for clarification.

? Didn?t He say that The Qur?aan is the BEST hadith? I do consider you, i.e., the SECTARIANS, as the disbelievers in The Qur?aan . The Prohpet, pbuh, himself was the follower of The Qur?aan ALONE. Don?t you think so?

In 3923 GOD tells us that The Qur'aan is the BEST HADITH. If you are not a disbeliever in verse 3923, then why you believe-in and follow the ?HADITH of the prophet? too?

You, the SECTARIANS, are following man made words not AUTHORIZED by GOD.

        Peace,
        Khalil

          Peace,

I disagree with you layth. If in there is another source besides the quran that we have to follow, and that the quran tells us to follow this source, it does not make the quran incomplete since he told you to follow this source. Telling you to follow this source or to make the informations contained in this source inside the quran is the same since we have to follow these informations.

          Maybe i'm wrong

          peace,

Maybe you can show them these verses, take the quran as a whole not picking verses that fit your thoughts.
Verse below makes it clear that prescribing prohibitions other than from Allah is not allowed.

            1635
The worshippers of false gods say "If Allah had so willed, we should not have worshipped aught but Him - neither we nor our fathers,- nor should we have prescribed prohibitions other than His." So did those who went before them. But what is the mission of messengers but to preach the Clear Message?

In confirmation of this clear message we find that on one occasion when the prophet actually prohibited something that God has made lawful, God reprimanded him for doing so
            661
"O you prophet, why do you prohibit what God has made lawful to you, just to please your wives?"

            544
Indeed, We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light. The prophets who submitted judged by it for the Jews, as did the rabbis and scholars by that with which they were entrusted of the Scripture of Allah , and they were witnesses thereto. So do not fear the people but fear Me, and do not exchange My verses for a small price. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the disbelievers.

Also I think the verse about Surah an-Nahl ayah 44 doesn't say explain quran or explain what it means but simple to make clear what is sent down to them, a revelation from Allah but Allaho a3lam maybe someone else can explain it better.

li-tubayyina li an-nas maa nuzzila ilayhi, i think explain in arabic is tafassal but I don't know for sure
?With clear arguments and scriptures; and We have revealed to you the Reminder that you may make clear to men what has been revealed to them, and that haply they may reflect.?

And the verses about obeying the prophet and taking him as a judge doesn't prove hadith right neither the verses about whatever the prophet given to you you should take it because hadith is something not given to you by the prophet but given by chain narrators and collected by bukhari, so you should ask yourself and the people you talk about that have no faith in quran why do you take something from chain narrators like abu hurairah and so on and why do you accept a message given to you by bukhari when he and those people didn't receive any prophethood??

You can't aply those verses to justify hadith or sunna because the prophet only gave us the quran, so he did his work elhamdoelilah and finished it so narrators and bukhari have no bussines adding stuff to the message.

GOD has condemned the disbelievers, and has prepared for them Hell.
Eternally they abide therein. They will find no lord, nor a supporter.
The day they are thrown into Hell, they will say, "Oh, we wish we obeyed GOD, and obeyed the messenger."
They will also say, "Our Lord, we have obeyed our masters and leaders, but they led us astray.
"Our Lord, give them double the retribution, and curse them a tremendous curse."

What! have they partners (in godhead), who have established for them some religion without the permission of Allah. Had it not been for the Decree of Judgment, the matter would have been decided between them (at once). But verily the Wrong- doers will have a grievous Penalty.

            I hope this helps.
            Salam

Even these verses proves them wrong....these verses specially proves them wrong...look

Hey hey hey wait up, this question is stupid.
I will not answer this question but I will counter this question with another questions just to prove my answer first...

1)Mohamed when he reads these words, is he excluded from obeying the messenger?

              2)Look at this verse closely. " 20
"People who believed obey God and his messenger and don't go away from him while you are listening"...translated from the Arabic Qur'an, as I said before and will forever say...English translations are not right. So, don't go away from who? God or the messenger?

              1. " 48 "And if they are called to God and his messenger to judge between them there be a team from them refusing"....So Who will Judge God or the messenger?

4)Why whenever God and his messenger, God and messenger is mentioned they next verb has a singular subject not plural...like him...to judge as one one will judge not 2 will judge....go back to the Arabic Qur'an and find it out.

Yes, yes can you read arabic? went to the Qur'an and checked that out now that's weird isn't it...oh you are right my dear...the Messenger is not the Prophet and the word messenger is the Book itself...

Note God sent Jebrel (Now Jebrel is a messenger) to Mohamed...now Mohamed have the words of god he is the messenger...but in the same time he follows these words, he follows this book...Mohamed and the Qur'an are on earth at a point of time...now here is the point that is messed up...Mohamed is a prophet he was a messenger to give you the Qur'an which is a messenger of God's words as well...The Qur'an HOLDS God's words to YOU...so he is the messenger...Mohamed HOLD the Qur'an which HOLDS God's words...so Mohamed is the messenger of the messenger. Got it yet? Now go back to the ARABIC Qur'an and replace the word Messenger to the book which Holds the words of God to you...and watch the Magic...

I may be wrong as I am not God or a prophet or a messenger I am just a human who didn't even finish reading the Qur'an in his life...and will not finish it forever...I will re-read, re-read, re-read,re-read.

To believe in Allah and His Messenger and victory him and revere him and exalt him morning and night(bokra wa asela)
489 REFER TO THE ARABIC QUR'AN, ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS ARE SUNNI.

This verse is the deadly kick...who will you victory Allah or the messenger? or both? if both why didn't god say victory them? who will you revere Allah or the messenger? or both? why didn't God say revere him who will you exalt? Allah only?? why didn't you say Allah only for all the previous or you choose what ever you like in each word???Wait a minute how can you Victory Allah? and revere him? by doing this to the messenger, then you will do this to the messenger....and exalt the messenger??? Weird man...Weird...

"What Allah has bestowed on His Messenger from the people of the townships,- belongs to Allah,- to His Messenger and to kindred and orphans, the needy and the wayfarer; In order that it may not make a circuit between the wealthy among you. So take what the Messenger assigns to you, and deny yourselves that which he withholds from you. And fear Allah. for Allah is strict in Punishment." (597)

If Sunnites are indeed Muslims why do they have such a taste for twisting the words of Allah?

The problem with ccamurads thinking is that he thinks the prophet explained The Quran with his own words.
But ccamurad has to understand that the Quran is the explanation. The Prophet simply recites it. That is how he explained.

If you, ccamurad, is more interested in the truth that bent on upholding sectarian teachings, you might begin to see that truth. Unfortunately most sectarians seem to rather use religious texts, to read their own sectarian mindset into it. If they love these hadith-papers, that is just a sign of an offensive mind to begin with.

REMEMBER that God is infinitely intelligent. Loving this God, seems to be harshly in conflict with the crude intelligence of hadith-papers.

                          Salalm and Peace!

The messenger is the quran dude...

                          Rightly said!

The Messenger is "The Message" itself.

The Messenger is connected with "The Message".
In the absence of "The Message",-----Muhammad was Muhammad, and not a Messenger.

With "The Message", Muhammad became the Messenger.

Obey the Messenger by following "The Message" he brought.

                            Salam.

It is true that Allah asked the believers to come to the messenger to solve disputes, that is judge for them. The messenger should be obeyed. However, let us not CONCEAL the Ayaats of Allah. Ever heard of Surah Maeda ???? Or simply stopped reading Quran upon finding the 4 words "Obey Allah and Obey the messenger" ?

544 We have sent down the Torah, in it is a guidance and a light; the prophets who have submitted judged with it for those who are Jewish, and the Devotees, and the Priests, for what they were entrusted of the Book of God, and they were witness over. So do not be concerned with the people but be concerned with Me; and do not purchase with My revelations a cheap price. And whoever does not judge with what God has sent down, then these are the rejecters.

545 And We have decreed for them in it that a life for a life, and an eye for an eye, and a nose for a nose, and an ear for an ear, and a tooth for a tooth, and wounds to be similar; and whoever remits anything of it, then it will cancel sins for him. And whoever does not judge with what God has sent down, then these are the wicked.

546 And We sent in their footsteps Jesus, son of Mary, authenticating what was present with him of the Torah. And We gave him the Gospel, in it is a guidance and a light, and authenticating what was present with him of the Torah, and a guidance and a lesson for the righteous.

547 And let the people of the Gospel judge with what God has sent down in it. And whoever does not judge with what God has sent down, then these are the wicked.

548 And We have sent down to you the Book with the truth, authenticating what is between your hands of the Book and superseding it. So judge between them by what God has sent down, and do not follow their desires from what has come to you of the truth. For each of you We have made laws, and a structure; and if God had willed, He would have made you all one nation, but He tests you with what He has given you; so strive to do good. To God you will return all of you, and He will inform you regarding that in which you dispute.

549 And judge between them by what God has sent down, and do not follow their desires, and beware lest they divert you away from some of what God has sent down to you. If they turn away, then know that God wants to inflict them with some of their sins; and many of the people are wicked.

550 Is it the judgment of the days of ignorance that they seek? Who is better than God as a judge for a people who comprehend?

These verse alone does the job for me, Shahriah can only come from Qur'an, the fully detailed book. Unless you claim that there are other secondary revelations inspired to Muhammad, which makes the case more confusing for both his followers and him to constantly sort out the primary revelations from the secondary ones. But that isnt why I am against such ideas. If you really believe there is any secondary revelation, show us the proof if you are truthful. Otherwise fear Allah, not your favorite set of Ulemas !!

                              Maybe i'm wrong

                              peace,

I would have to agree with this statement. After all, aren't Arabic lexicons "another source" besides the Qur'an? Yet we go to them to understand the Arabic language, and we need to understand the language in order understand the Qur'an (and the Qur'an confirms that we should).

Another Source means "Another Source of Law", which is not possible, because there is only one Source of Law, i.e. Allah's Quran.

Arabic lexicon is not a source of law, it is indeed a help to understand "The Only Source of Law".

You missed my point. My point was that the Qur'an is not incomplete if it authorizes another source for us, and Sunnis believe that it does.

                                    Hadith Isa ;
When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said "Now have I come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which ye dispute therefore fear Allah and obey me. Quran 4363

                                    Hadith Musa ;
Then, We gave Musa (Moses) the Book , to complete (Our Favour) upon those who would do right, and explaining all things in detail and a guidance and a mercy that they might believe in the meeting with their Lord. Quran 6154

What verse can refute verses above from referring to Jews Hadith,Tanakh and Christian Hadith, Deutrorcanonical?

I would have to disagree. An arab lexicon cannot by itself make Divine laws like hadith can. The only divine source, where Allah is speaking, is the Quran.

I agree with Layth's approach to answer a question with a question.

Who do you think was in the best position to explain Quran? are you suggested that the Prophet(saW) was a mere puppet who had no understanding of what was being revealed to him??

The Quran indicating that the sunnah of the Prophet(saw) is to be followed in addition doesnt mean the Quran is incomplete, there may be very good reasons for there needing to be an authority on earth to turn to for guidence, so people can be rightly guided after the Prophets(saw) death and not left to their own whims and individual interpretation of Quran.
