Peace Bender,
No I don't aim for what you have provided.
As for the tranlation, even though I don't know arabic, "the earth" is more suitable word.
Just check the verses I have asked for.
The question is, what is the metaphor behind those words?

Peace,
R.Salaam R.H.-Ustahi,
Just to make the question clear for me, please read this verse
2261 The example of those who spend their money in the cause of God is like a seed that sprouts forth seven pods, in each pod there is one hundred seeds; and God multiplies for whoever He chooses, and God is Encompassing, Knowledgeable.
My understanding is that the red part is a metaphor for the green part.
As I understand your question now, is that 843-5 is the green part and we have to give you the red part, is this what you meant?
If this is what you meant, then my next question is Can we find this red part in the Quran? -
Salam/Peace Bender.
The answer to your question I have learned from Joseph Campbell.
What you have provided in the verse 2261 is a comparison.
X is like Y
But, in metaphor, X becomes Y, X is Y.
So the color answer for you is the green is the red.
Now if you would like to give to it another go, I'll wait and then repond with the answer to my original question, if not, I'll post it anyway.
GOD Willing.
Thank you for your good question, I find this thread very fun and joyful. We are all learning.
Peace,
R. -
Ok, it is dawn here, and the metaphor for the asked verses is
-
And when the earth is stretched.- The process of transforming. The earth = the body.
-
And it spits out what is in it and becomes empty.- The process of purifying. Emptiness, the source of bliss. The state of Inspiration. Guidance. Pure.
-
And it permits its Lord, and is ready.- The union with the One. The Presence of GOD. Ready to serve.
If you don't have any other questions regarding this, the next question would be
What symbolizes the dawn in Quran?
Peace,
R.P.S. Purity is the source of bliss. Impurity the source of Iblis.
Peace is the devil's fobia.

The rules are simple. The one who answers the question must give a clear proof for his answer from The Quran and only The Quran.

I have looked for the word "fadjr" as this is to my understanding "dawn" but I couldn't find what it symbolizes.
But i will try to think in the way you think D So my guess is A new beginning
Just a note for the next time, as you can see such questions are really hard for others(=me), thus please try to give next time a question where we can find the answer in The Quran, else it will be more like quessing what you have in mind.

Listen, I am aware for what I have asked.
The point is, every scripture has at least 2 levels of reading Direct and Metaphoric.
Most are stuck on direct interpretations/surfacial ones.
Metaphoric part comes from the deep, the soul, the real parts of you.
I have shared what I have learned and could observe. Existence is the language of God.
Beauty comes from metaphor.
Yes your interpretation I find correct A new beginning. The process of getting into the Light = The dawn. And light upon light, GOD guides to His Light whom He pleases to guide.
Hence the dawn of awareness is what purity of heart is about.
Thank you, you're the next to ask.
Peace,

My answer was not really the same as what you had in mind, but i'm glad it was good enough )
my question
Moses was send to Pharao and his people with some miracles. Which miracle was greater, the staff which turned in a snake or the white hand?
Please give also your proof. -
Bender, salam,
I have just checked thru the Quran, but I could not find the answer you're seeking.
The nine signs are there (which by the way will be the next question, if I am getting the answer right), but
which is greater than the other, this I really have challenge to answer to.Ever been in a situation where you say Unbelievable! but yet it's happening?
That must have been the case, when the people witnessed what the rod of Moses could do, and the hand as well.
Knowing is born. It is a God given blessing. When you see, you know, when you hear the truth, you know.
How do you know, you don't know, but you know you know.
My answer is, the miracle behind the miracle, more effect had the transformation of the staff into serpent and vice versa, than the hand.
THe magicians knew, because they know the limits of their capabilities. And whoever is with GOD, knows no limits.
Because of the INFINITE Will to do whatever wants to do, and however wants to perform it.
This I find very strange with some muslims who claim the sacredness of the spider because it protected the Prophet Muhammad while he was in cave.
The spider in that case was obeying God's rule that everything (except humans) is in human's service.
So because of the doll, those who are unable to see, miss the hand behind.
Btw, each animal lives the own existential purpose, unlike most wo/men.
My answer is The rod into serpent is greater sign that the transformation of the hand.
THanks, and peace,
R.P.S. Idolatery is most people's first choice.

I'm sorry but your answer is not correct.
hint You need to look at 2 places in The Quran to proof this.I will give later the answer if no one can proof this

I am glad that didn't hit the mark.

The answer
4346 And We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his commanders; so he said I am a messenger of the Lord of the worlds.
4347 But when he came to them with Our signs, they laughed at them.
4348 And every sign We showed them was greater than the one before it, and We seized them with the torment, perhaps they would return.2632 So he cast his staff, then it manifested into a serpent. (The first sign)
2633 And he drew out his hand, then it became white to the onlookers. (The second sign)Imho the better translation for 4348 is not ??was greater then the one before it?? but ??was greater than its sister??
The next question is also about the staff of Moses.
Look at this verses, I?ve putted the important part in phonetic
2020 So he cast it down, faitha hiya hayyatun tas3a
7107 He threw down his staff, faitha hiya thu3banun mubeen
2645 So Moses cast down his staff, faitha hiya talqafu ma yafikoon
2710 "And throw down your staff." So when he saw it vibrate as if it were a jannun, he ran away and would not turn back. "O Moses, do not fear, for My messengers shall have no fear from Me."Every translation I read thus far translates the bold part of 2020 and 7107 as snake while they are different words in Arabic.
Some translate the bold part of 2710 as jinn or demon but most of them as a snake.
Most translate the bold part of 2645 into something like ?swallows?.The question Why does The Quran uses 4 different words when Moses throws his staff?

Salaam,
It seems you yourself stopped your quiz hmm Such a difficult question, try keeping it to be a quiz not exam. ) Let me try answering it, just to wake up this thread.
AlQuraan uses 4 different words when Musa throws his staff because every time he throws his staff it might be changing into a different thing.

mmKhanalmost correct, Musa only threw his staf 3 times not 4.
first time He was alone and the staff turned into Hayyatun
second time first meeting with Firaun and the prominent ones without the suhara and watching audience, the staff turned this time in a thu3banun
third time second meeting with Firaun and this time with the suhara (illusionist) and also with watching audience, the staf this time turned in a thing that swallowed what the suhara made.so it were 3 different occasions and every time it became something different.
then what about the zjannun?
that was the first time, when he threw it he saw it was moving like zjannun. It was in reality a Hayyatun but Musa saw it moving like it was a zjannun.btw when the suhara (illusionists) threw their ropes and staffs they didn't change in anything nor did they move. For the watching people it looked to them as if they where moving but in fact it was not more then an illusion for the eyes of the watchers. (7116 and 2066)

You are welcome brother. Let me ask a question.

230 And when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."My question is what makes malaaika respond in such a way when Allah said them about making a Khalifa in earth?

mmKhanSalaam bro,
Not so long time ago someone said this It seems you yourself stopped your quiz hmm Such a difficult question, try keeping it to be a quiz not exam.
hmm
This is how I understand it.
1871 So they ventured forth until they rode in a boat and he made a hole in it. He said "Have you made a hole in it to drown its people? You have done something dreadful!"
1874 So they ventured forth until they came upon a youth, and he killed him. He said "Have you killed an innocent person without justice? You have done something awful!"
1877 So they ventured forth until they came to the people of a town. They requested food from its people but they refused to host them. Then they found a wall which was close to collapsing, so he built it. He said "If you had wished, you could have asked a wage for it!"
The malaika simply did not understand why this new creature who will cause corruption and sheds blood will be placed on earth while they were the opposite of these new creature. They made their own conclusions without any knowledge, that's why it was said Indeed, I know that which you do not know.
To show them their knowledge was even less then that of the new creature, He learned Adam things they did not know.Besides what they said openly about Adam, I think they also had other "feelings" about Adam which they hided. That's why I think it was said
"...Did I not tell you that I know the unseen of the heavens and the earth, and that I know what you reveal and what you are hiding?" (233).Salaam,
BenderIf my answer is correct then the first one may ask his/her question.

Salaam bro,
I gave 2 reasons why I think they said that
- The malaika simply did not understand why this new creature who will cause corruption and sheds blood will be placed on earth.
- The malaika had other "feelings" about Adam which they hided
I guess with the question they wanted clarification and to relieve their "hearts".
No! Sorry nope
