Peace Mazhar,
Learned Professor Toshihiko Izutsu in his book "God and Man in the Qur'aan" quoted it in his study on the concept of this Root and term
Sorry. I give absolutely no merit to these people.
It is derived from Root . Basic perception infolded is to praise and magnify; express commendation, or wish blessings upon the one who is revered; or to appreciate someone. Ibn Faris in his classical Lexicon had quoted a verse of a poem of pre-Qur'aan period to highlight one aspect of this Root regards invoking blessings
This understanding does still not make salat into a ritual such as the one that you adhere to. The sarcastic thought is that you only give fuel to my fire. You use these innocent narrations to justify a Pagan ritual.
Basic perception infolded is to praise and magnify; express commendation, or wish blessings upon the one who is revered; or to appreciate someone
Yes. And you do this by keeping the salat and assisting in its establishment. If you lose salat then you no longer show any any of it but belong to those who divided into sects.
Even if the poem would be before the advent of the book generally called Qur'an it does not give any strength to the understanding of salat as a "contact prayer" or ritualistic behavior. The ironical is that your reference actually gives strength to my arguments and I need to thank you for helping me. If you keep communion then you are with God and also have assistance from The Master.
I will, God willing, now focus on answering the questions you ask me just to try me. Do you think I am stupid as to see you are just wishing to see me fail. Instead of trying to look at the word yourselves with critical eyes instead of adhering blindly to traditional thinking.
EDIT
Ibn Faris in his classical LexiconSo you base this understanding on someone who died a few hundred years after the advent of Qur'an? He must have lived during the 10th century and it gives absolutely no merit to the interpretation of Qur'an.

Salamun Alaikum.
Thanks to Mazhar for sharing the information about the meaning of the term salat. I also believe "praise and magnify; express commendation, or wish blessings" etc. are much closer to the appropriate meaning of "salat" than "unity / union / communion".
Brother MoF may not give any merit to linguists / dictionaries / lexicons.. that is his choice; but for me a language - any language - develops based on the people who speak / use the language and opinion of linguists / dictionaries / lexicons are legitimate tools for studying any language.
Rather I give absolutely no merit to "trial-and-error" as a method of finding the meanings of Arabic terms.
May Allah guide us all to the straight route.
Regards,
Arman -
Peace Scribbler,
You say
And I have been able to falsify the claim that 11114 refers to prayer timing at all which has been neatly used to argue for these timings inferred by those who adhere to this Pagan influence.
Then what does 11114 talk about if it is not about timing? Please provide us your translation using valid source of reference.
11114 speaks of keeping your focus on communion. I have explained it in past posts loosely, but I can get into the details if you are that argumentative.
Let me break the original Arabic of 11114 into an analysis.
Word by word translation Keep al-salat gazes intentions the day and (at) approach (of) the night indeed the good remove(s) the bad. This is a regard to those who pay attention.
Green Obviously the word cannot be literally used in the context, so you have to paraphrase it. If you look at my work below with other passages involving taraf you can see that the word implies on intention (or similar).
Check the contextual use of the word taraf from a valid source of information (should be because they are sectarians)
Noun
| (14437) arfuhum | their gaze |
| (274014) arfuka | your glance |
| (37483) l-arfi | (will be) companions of modest gaze |
| (38523) l-arfi | (will be) companions of modest gaze |
| (42459) arfin | a glance |
| (55563) l-arfi | (will be) companions of modest gaze |
Noun| (31272) arafan | a part |
| (111143) arafayi | (at the) two ends |
| (1341 arfih | its borders |
| (2013017) wa-arfa | (at the) ends |
| (214416) arfih | its borders |If you pardon me for not involving the Arabic in this translation where taraf is used as (part) in the passage and see how lame the translation is
1340 And if We show you some of what We promise them, or We terminate your life, then you are only to deliver while for Us is the reckoning.
1341 Do they not see that We come to the land and reduce it from its ends intentions? And God gives judgment and there is none to override His judgment. And He is swift to reckoning.
1342 And those before them had schemed, but to God is all scheming. He knows what every soul earns and the opponents will come to know to whom is the better abode.
1343 And those who oppose say ?You are not a messenger.? Say ?God is enough as a witness between me and you; the One who has the knowledge of the Book.?The word is also used in this weirdly translated narration also trying to justify timed rituals
20124 ?And whoever turns away from My remembrance regard, then he will have a miserable life, and We will raise him blind on the Day of Resurrection.?
20125 He said ?My Master, you have raised me blind while I used to be able to see??
20126 He said ?It was the same when Our revelations came to you, you forgot them, and similarly today you will be forgotten.?
20127 And it is such that We recompense he who transgresses, and did not have faith in the revelations of his Master. And the retribution of the Hereafter is more severe and more lasting..
20128 Is it not a guide to them how many generations We had destroyed before them, which they are walking now in their assemblies? In that are signs for the people of understanding...
20129 ...and had it not been for a word already given by your Master, they would have been held to account immediately...
20130 ...so be patient to what they are saying and glorify with praise (of) your Master before when (you) approach the rising of the sun, and at (your) approach (of) its setting, and at the coming of the night you shall glorify and at parts with intentions of the day perhaps you may be content...
20131 ...and do not crave with your eyes what We have bestowed upon some couples from them; the flower of the worldly life; so as to test them in it; and the provision of your Master is better and more lasting...
20132 ...and instruct your family to the contact prayer communion and be patient for it. We do not ask you for provision, for We provide for you and the ending will be for righteousness.
20133 And they said ?If only he would bring us a sign from his Master!? Did not proof come to them from what is in the previous scripts?
20134 And if We had destroyed them with a retribution before this, they would have said ?Our Master, if only You had sent us a messenger so we could follow Your revelations before we are humiliated and shamed!?
20135 Say ?All are waiting, so wait, and you will come to know who are the people upon the even path and who are guided.?Ritualistic prayer does not suit the context whatsoever.
Green Do not be jealous and keep to your deeds of righteousness.
Blue Ironically it can be said that God does not need your ritualistic prayer but God is the One that provides everything for you.
Purple The translation is an experimental one, but not based upon nothing. I will declare what I was thinkingThe triliteral root qf b lm ( ل occurs 294 times in the Quran, in 13 derived forms
You can read why I question the word's usage in this verse based on what is found in http//corpus.quran.com/qurandictionary.jsp?q=qbl#%28201308%29
As a summary of my observation, 20130 speaks of keeping God in your mind throughout the day. Obviously my translation is as wacko as the traditional one because it demands much work to properly decipher after much falsehood is there in the understanding. I had no need to try to translate that one because 11114 was the related one to the question, but I just wanted to show you another instance.
Here is the last occurrence which I will use to nullify the claim about taraf
2142 Say ?Who can protect you during the night and the day from the Almighty?? No, they are turning away from the remembrance regard for their Master...
2143 ...or do they have gods that will protect them from Us? They cannot help themselves, nor can they be protected from Us.
2144 It was Us who gave luxury to these and their fathers, until they grew old with age. Do they not see that We come to the land and reduce it from its edges intentions? Will they be able to win?
2145 Say ?I am merely warning you with the inspiration.? But the deaf do not hear the call when they are being warned.Green The traditional translation does not make sense, however when you equalize every occurence of the word throughout the book called Qur'an then the word suddenly makes sense in the narration.
Let us check when the word is used for gazes and see how truthful it is then
1443 They will approach with their heads bowed, and their eyes will not blink (no focus), and their hearts will be void.
2740 And one who had knowledge from the Book said ?I will bring it to you before you blink (can react).? So when he saw it resting before him, he said ?This is from the grace of my Lord, so that He tests me whether I am thankful or whether I reject. As for he who is thankful, he is thankful for himself, and as for he who rejects, then my Lord is Rich, Bountiful.?3747 There is no bitterness therein, nor will they tire from it.
3748 And with them are those with a modest gaze intention with lovely eyes.
3749 They are like fragile eggs.3850 Gardens of delight, whose gates will be open for them.
3851 Reclining therein, they will be invited to many fruits and drinks.
3852 And with them are those with a modest gaze intention, mature in age.
3853 This is what you have been promised for the Day of Reckoning.
3854 Such is Our provisions, it does not run out.4244 And whoever God sends astray will not have any ally after Him. And you will see the transgressors, when they see the retribution, saying ?Is there any way we can go back??...
4245 ...and you will see them being displayed to it in fearful humiliation and looking intending to avoid showing. And those who believed will say ?The losers are those who lost their souls and their families on the Day of Resurrection. The transgressors will be in a lasting retribution.?
4246 And they had no allies to help them against God. And whoever God misguides will never find the way.5554 While reclining upon furnishings lined with satin, the fruits of the two gardens are within reach.
5555 So which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
5556 In them are those with a modest gaze intention untouched before by any man or Jinn.
5557 So which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
5558 They look like rubies and coral.
5559 So which of the favors of your Lord will you deny? They did not fall to people who just conjecture about the faith. Like in this example
6116 And if you obey most of those on the earth they will lead you away from the path of God; that is because they follow conjecture, and that is because they only guess.
So if you buy my elaboration done honestly in analyzing the passages is up to you, but do not come and say that my choice of translation is not viable. I think that the book called Qur'an was interpreted by a group of wannabe fools who could not understand a thing.
And then I can come 1000 years later and just crush their delusions of grandeur, because they are not serving The Master, our God.
Continue to believe in salat as a ritualistic and timed mess or do like I have proposed is up to you, but do not come here and tell that I am wrong.
So what is the next question that you asked? I will reply in another post and God willing I can give a viable explanation there too. Do not forget I am just a human being though and I cannot "miraculously" decipher a passage without the intervention by God. The corruption is severe in the book called Qur'an and sometimes it does not even portray half of what the original language wanted to convey.
Even without interpreting what is written we can exclude Pagan rituals from the schedule because how logical and sane does it sound to begin with? I only do this to attempt to help lost souls and there is no need for me to do this for myself. I can just read a Gospel testimony of the Bible and know the decree (al-ketaab) inside out.
So 11114 and 20130 are completely removed from salat timing schedule so which are left? 2458 oh yes, I will need to move unto that one as well. We still need to approach the day keeping the communion or when we retreat for the day or come back from taking a break, so timing or not it does not justify a timed ritual.
Besides; it is you who have to prove to me, by the way, that it means timed ritual. I have no need to prove to you about anything, but I have done so anyway. God is the guide and teacher.

Peace armanaziz,
Thanks to Mazhar for sharing the information about the meaning of the term salat. I also believe "praise and magnify; express commendation, or wish blessings" etc. are much closer to the appropriate meaning of "salat" than "unity / union / communion".
It is your loss. Most people cannot see the truth even if you shovel it in their faces.
Red Can you even realize that if you keep communion in an assembly you do the definition that Mazhar told about, because you honor the decree of God.
Rather I give absolutely no merit to "trial-and-error" as a method of finding the meanings of Arabic terms.
So you are going to give merit to people who have spent the past 1000 years in corrupting the language instead interpreting according to their desires and wishful thinking?
It is also not merely "trial-and -error" but I actually recycle whatever I have of the language in logical and reasonable ways.
And I have just in the recent post nullified the timing in 11114 using traditional interpretation of the word taraf. Do you call that trial-and-error?

Peace Scribbler,
I suppose you were talking about 4103 and not 4102.
4101 And if you go forth in the land, then there is no harm that you avoid communion, if you fear that the opponents will try you. The opponents are to you a clear enemy.
4103 Then, if you have completed formed the contact prayer communion, regard God while standing, or sitting, or on your sides. Then, if you are faithful keep the communion, indeed, the contact prayer communion for the ones with faith is decreed on ones appointed...
4104 ...and do not falter in the pursuit of the remaining group. If you are feeling pain, then they are also feeling pain as you are; and you seek from God what they do not seek. God is Knowledgeable, Wise.
4105 We have revealed to you the true decree that you may judge between the people by that which God has shown you, and do not be an advocate for the treacherous.
4106 And seek forgiveness from God; for God is Forgiver, Merciful.I know I may not have found the right word for it, but timed practice is not right either. 4104 is meant to be read in conjunction with the clause in 4103 and so salat is about reaching out with the teachings of God towards the people who are ignorant.
As you can suspect if you are honest to yourself is whether the sequence of passages is talking about a ritualistic prayer or about forming alliances with those who are ignorant to the truth. Instead of fighting my interpretation that needs to be improved then help me improve it.
The treacherous are the ones informed about the communion of God, but do not seek to keep it. The related passages above talk about being the judge between the people in the field and not so much about warfare.
The actor in the narration is teaching about God to people from whom he fear that opponents are going to take an opportunity to attack him while he is preaching about the faith of God.
If you desire to make that into a ritualistic prayer then you are free to do so, but you are dishonest to the original language written.

Peace,
With respect, being "quite sure" will not make you successful, dear brother. You must tell us why you do not believe in the traditional understanding of these verses, and then present your translation of those verses by referring to the valid sources you have used to reach your conclusion. Otherwise, with respect, your arguments hold no merit.
Of course it brings no merit to someone who is already critical towards what I have proposed of the truth. You may wish to investigate yourself instead of bringing your criticism on me. I was not there when they composed the book called Qur'an and it is hard for me to interpret verses like 443 and 56 as you may understand without bringing in external influence from people who have already distorted the interpretation.
Red With all due respect, if I have already nullified the use of salat as a ritualistic prayer then obviously something is wrong with 443 or 56 even if I personally cannot decipher them properly at this time. I was honest and said I was not quite sure, about the two verses, but not the rest. I have brought in the context surrounding the verses and they also reveal that there are something fishy about the interpretation of those two verses.
But; in case communion also can be about joining the assembly of God then there may be some kind of baptism with water, but because I do not know I do not argue that and you simply forced me to reveal it to you now and you are probably going to hold that against me. I have many theories, but also many arguments that I consider above theory-level, such as the ones I have clearly revealed in this thread. On the other hand I doubt 443 and 56 have anything to do with water or sand ablution whatsoever.
But because you are so insistent I am going to attempt a translational effort of 443 and 56 and form an opinion based on what I know. I have a post where I even try among the post I have made so far. But even without succeeding in properly translating them I can nullify the rest based upon what I know and the analysis.
Brother good logic had asked you a question. He asked, "So people are forced to observe 'salat' if it means contact prayer, but not forced if it means 'unity/communion'?"
It is a very good question which I feel you have left unanswered in your reply.
Just a question to try me. I have not said that; "you do not have to keep communion (assalat)", because it means to keep the people together under the teachings of God and not according to the teachings of the sects, which you sadly are an advocate for. So the people of the tribes of Israel were not told to uphold a ritualistic prayer, but they were told to keep together and not divide themselves into disputing sects over what had been revealed.
Sorry. I find that the people who adhere to traditional "Islam" just fell victim to Pagan ritualism which has no basis within the teachings of God.

I give a damn about your posessive phrases, besides even if it is about your intentions then it is a possessive phrase.
The first noun is dual not singular,
How does it matter to prove my point? It just causes inconsistency with your claim of parts of the day.
Instead arguing can you please explain how you are thinking.
Gaze is to look fixedly, to look for a long time with unwavering attention
Yes. And is it not to have your focus from the beginning of the day until the end of the day so it is "for a long time".
Skip your scholarly ways and see it with your own brain instead.

A written text of any language comprises of only three things
- Word;
- Phrase;
- Sentence.
How can you understand the text of a second language without caring about the above three things? If you pay damn to basic requirements of learning a language, you might become prey of Satan's whispers who will allure your scholarly skills of deriving meaning paying damn to any principle.
-
Keep assalat intention of the day.
By a literal translation anyway how can you take it as two parts without questioning the translation? If it is to be allegorical for your two (non-mentioned) eyes then it is somewhat clearer.
The word is also used for gazes in other occurrences without anyone questioning this somehow.
Even in a translation one can notice that certain parts of the passage are supposed to be read as one clause and not separated.
11114 And hold the communion in your focus of the day and the near part of the night the good deeds take away the bad.
And even after all this I do not give merit to the grammar suggested about dual noun. The 'ye' suggests that it belongs to the following noun.
There are other signs of the same ignorance of the Arabic language such as which always refers as some predicate.
I fear the worst about the interpretation of what is read, but if you wish to believe how it is interpreted then you can do it against all logic.
-

I do not give a damn about the requirements of learning a language, but I avoid listening unquestionably on scholars and their written grammar teachings and traditional interpretation of words.
you might become prey of Satan's whispers who will allure your scholarly skills of deriving meaning paying damn to any principle
I think that it is you and all who adhere to the interpretation unquestionably that are risking of becoming prey to Satan's whispers. Despite nullifying the communion as a ritual I have basically proved that it is not a ritual whatsoever. But you can choose to continue to believe that if you like, but do not come here and say I am wrong.

Dear Man of Faith,
May peace be upon you.
The word 'intention' is nowhere to be found. Even the source you have shared goes against your understanding. The word 'tarafay' in 11114 is dual, its plural form is 'atraf' which means ends/edges/portions, and the singular form is 'taraf'. You are merely substituting the correct translation of the word with the word 'intention' since the other word 'gaze' does not make any sense. In my point of view, this approach of yours amounts to nothing but intellectual dishonesty.
20130 ...so be patient to what they are saying and glorify with praise (of) your Master before when (you) approach the rising of the sun, and at (your) approach (of) its setting, and at the coming of the night you shall glorify and at parts with intentions of the day perhaps you may be content...
Once again, you have translated the above red part of 20130 based on your own delusions, whims and desires.
2144 It was Us who gave luxury to these and their fathers, until they grew old with age. Do they not see that We come to the land and reduce it from its edges intentions? Will they be able to win?
In my humble opinion, the word 'edges/borders/parts/portions' makes much more sense in the above verse than 'intention'. But you are free to disagree.
I am sorry to say, if this is your approach to translate the words of God then, with respect, I would not like to continue to discuss this matter with you any further. I hope you consider and understand my reason for not wanting to engage for further discussion regarding this matter.
Peace and best regards.
-
I think that it is you and all who adhere to the interpretation unquestionably that are risking of becoming prey to Satan's whispers.
You seem to have a very short memory. I discarded all translations/interpretations declaring them faulty including the one of the runners of this forum. Only because they violate the academic principles of translation.
-
Once again, you have translated the above red part of 20130 based on your own delusions, whims and desires.
NO I HAVE NOT. I have just not found a viable ultimate translation.
20130 ...so be patient to what they are saying and glorify with praise (of) your Master before when (you) approach the rising of the sun, and at (your) approach (of) its setting, and at the coming of the night you shall glorify and with intentions of the day perhaps you may be content...
I translated it perfectly viable based on the words usage in other contexts. That some fool could not interpret it right in the past is not my fault. I told you that you would use 20130 against me because I have not been able to deliver a working translation.
The word 'intention' is nowhere to be found.
No of course it is not because the whole narration is not interpreted correctly from the start. Gaze is just an ignorant interpretation of another takings of the base word taraf. If you keep your gaze at something you have an intention.
Even the source you have shared goes against your understanding.
No it does not.
In my humble opinion, the word 'edges/borders/parts/portions' makes much more sense in the above verse than 'intention'. But you are free to disagree.
It does not make sense at all other than justify a senseless ritual. KEEP COMMUNION FOCUS OF THE DAY, what is wrong in that interpretation? It means to keep your deeds to what God is teaching.
I am sorry to say, if this is your approach to translate the words of God then, with respect, I would not like to continue to discuss this matter with you any further. I hope you consider and understand my reason for not wanting to engage for further discussion regarding this matter.
It seems to be much better for your are sold to the traditional knowledge of Arabic and the understanding of it all instead of criticizing every little bit. Or you perhaps believe in ritualistic neanderthal religion with primitive worship practices?
11111 And to each your Master will recompense their works. He is expert in what they do.
11112 So assist straightly as you were commanded, and those who have repented with you, and do not transgress. He is Seer over what you do...
11113 ...and do not lean towards those who have wronged else you will incur the Fire; and you will not have besides God any allies, and you will not be victorious...
11114 ...and keep the communion in focus of the day, and the near part of the night the good deeds take away the bad. This is a regard to those who pay attention.
11115 ...and be patient, for God does not waste the reward of the good doers. What is it so bloody hard to infer from the context despite not with a perfect rendition. It talks about keeping to what Muhammad and those who keep communion have been taught.
-
You seem to have a very short memory. I discarded all translations/interpretations declaring them faulty including the one of the runners of this forum. Only because they violate the academic principles of translation.
Okay. But even in academic research and to be able to move forward and also considered you have faulty and biased sources you have to apply critical thinking in validating what you read, particularly when they do not make any sense.
Anyway, please disengage from the discussion if you are going to be arrogant and stubbornly adhering to what you already know.
But I had already guessed as much that most people are not ready to challenge their rituals and senseless behavior.
-
20130 ...so be patient to what they are saying and glorify with praise (of) your Master before when (you) approach the rising of the sun, and at (your) approach (of) its setting, and at the coming of the night you shall glorify and with intentions of the day perhaps you may be content...
I translated it perfectly viable based on the words usage in other contexts. That some fool could not interpret it right in the past is not my fault. I told you that you would use 20130 against me because I have not been able to deliver a working translation.
First word is second person, masculine, signular imperative verb. A pronoun in a verb refers to a certainly known/identified person.
It is a prepositional phrase followed by two possessive phrases; and I hope you know that prepositional phrases relate to some other element of the sentence. First you have to determine to which visible or elided element it relates before interpreting the sentence.
Can you demonstrate or narrate how you personally "glorify with praise of your Master".
Does means "glorify"? And how do you glorify someone?
- make something appear superior to cause something to seem more pleasant, important, or desirable than is actually the case
- extol somebody or something to praise somebody or something highly
- religion praise deity to worship or offer praise to a deity

Peace,
20129 And had it not been for a word already given by your Lord, they would have been held to account immediately.
20130 So be patient to what they are saying and glorify the grace of your Lord before the rising of the sun, and before its setting, and at the approach of the night - you shall glorify - and with the result of the day perhaps you may be content...
20131 ...and not crave with your eyes what We have bestowed upon some couples from them; the flower of the worldly life; so as to test them in it; and the provision of your Lord is better and more lasting. Please observe that 20130 and 20131 are supposed to be read in conjunction with each other. You do something in that day which results in something that you do not crave with your eyes what we have bestowed upon some couples from them
Green It is this fallacy you have that you never try any alternative interpretation based on the literal quality of the phrases instead of by looking at the word by word with the nailed-into-your-brain interpretation of the individual words.
I just about know noticed that it says ataraf in 20130 which obviously can mean the results after you had intentions for the day.
As far as I can understand these phrases they talk about that if you keep your focus on the deeds of the day you will see how blessed you are compared to those you were jealous of, in the light of God.
Anyway, whatever you say about 20130, the traditional interpretation does not make any sense either. It does not relate to a ritualistic prayer but to understanding the importance of doing things right by glorifying God.
11112 So assist straightly as you were commanded, and those who have repented with you, and do not transgress. He is Seer over what you do.
11113 And do not lean towards those who have wronged else you will incur the Fire; and you will not have besides God any allies, and you will not be victorious.
11114 And keep communion intention of the day and by nightfall the good takes away the bad.
11115 And be patient, for God does not waste the reward of the good doers.
11116 If only there was from the previous generations a people with wisdom who prohibited corruption on the earth, except the few that We saved of them. And those who were wicked followed the enjoyment they were in, and they were criminal.
11117 And your Lord will not destroy the towns unjustly, while its people are good doers.
11118 And if your Lord had wished, He could have made all the people one nation, but they still would have continued to disagree.I still find it to mean that you should keep to communion so that these good deeds will make the bad ones not show. Despite what you argue about my linguistic ability can you not just see the context where the verse is located and see that the salat talks about keeping to what God has decreed on them instead of indulging in corruption???
And sorry I fail to keep patient when you are disputing what I tell you from my own observation. It is just that interpretation of a language cannot only be by word-by-word translation or adhereing to what people have said AFTER THE DISCOURSE WAS COMPOSED but you need to look upon the whole context to see whether it makes sense.
One final time take a look upon 20130 and consider this experimental translation
20130 So be patient to what they are saying and praise the glory of your Lord before with the approach of the rising of the sun, and before with the approach of its setting and by the approach of the night you shall glorify and perhaps you may be content (with) the outcome of the day...
20131 ...and not crave with your eyes what We have bestowed upon some couples from them; the flower of the worldly life; so as to test them in it; and the provision of your Lord is better and more lasting.I experimented by switching around the words completely based on the alternative interpretation of taraf.
Green Notice it says glorify the grace of your Master in 20130 while in the following glorify it does not say glorify the praise. . Glorify the praise can be similar to of showing appreciation of the blessings to you. This is why it says that you may crave with your eyes anymore what God bestowed of wealth upon others, i.e. jealousy. Do you not see that it may ring a bell even if I fail to accurately translate it?
I fail to understand why you cannot philosophize in these patterns or is the traditional interpretation holy to you?
Secondly I cannot find any timed rituals whatsoever in this narration, even if my translation leaves much to improve.

Can you demonstrate or narrate how you personally "glorify with praise of your Master".
Aww come on do not get stuck up on formalities.
Glorify the praise of your Master. I would take it as to see the good things in life that God does for you that you may feel more content by the evening when the night falls... EVERY DAY, instead of craving what others have and you not. Because being an ally of God is way better than having all the wealth in the world.
Have faith

The sentence in 20131 is a new sentence on subject different from the previous. The evidence is that it has verb in Jussive Mood with emphatic Noon that renders it future meanings.
