:: Bani or Walad - What does they mean? ::
-
Salaam,
You can already see there is a difference between two words "bani" and "walad", unfortunately, they are translated as same. I will try to put forward my understand on this for you all with the permission of my Lord, Allah, inshaAllah.
2233
2233 Mothers may breastfeed their children two complete years for whoever wishes to complete the nursing. Upon the father is the mothers' provision and their clothing according to what is acceptable. No person is charged with more than his capacity. No mother should be harmed through her child, and no father through his child. And upon the heir is like that. And if they both desire weaning through mutual consent from both of them and consultation, there is no blame upon either of them. And if you wish to have your children nursed by a substitute, there is no blame upon you as long as you give payment according to what is acceptable. And fear Allah and know that Allah is Seeing of what you do.This aayat uses most of derivatives of the word walad and it means as follows
= mothers
= her children
= father
= mother
= her child
= father
= child
= your childrenIn simple words
Mother = waalidatun
Father = mauloodun
Walad = child
Aulaad = childrenYou can also take a look at sura 112 for more detail.
When walad means child and aulaad means children.. what means "bani" then? Almost all translators translated it as "son" and "banaat" as "daughter", but this is not true.
Please take a close look at 47 - 412 which is about taraka means what is left by parents. In these aayaat instead of bani and banaat, rijaal & nisa, and zakar & unsa is used. And also walad and aulaad is used. Why bani and banaat is not used in these aayaat where these are about the division of property to the children from their parents? Bani and banaat is not used because they does not mean son and daughter.
Bani simply means make/made/build.
6611
6611 And Allah presents an example of those who believed the wife of Pharaoh, when she said, "My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds and save me from the wrongdoing people."The same exact word is used in 545.
546
546 And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous.Do you see the difference in translation?
Now you have to think what means in 546 and there are many like , etc. Many questions will arise on this now, inshaAllah, we will discuss them in detail if my Lord permits. This is my personal understanding, please study all the aayaat/words quoted above before accepting it.
May Allah increase our knowledge and guide us on His path pr

Now you have to think what means in 546is closer in English as begot/beget or something like that and depending on context; examples?
4036 and said Firaun O Haman beget (i.e. construct) for me a monument ?
616 and when said Isa begot (i.e. son of) Maryam
6611 and shows the god example to the those who believe lady Firaun when said she lord beget (i.e. construct) for me near you a house in the garden/paradise and save me from Firaun and his work and save me from the folk the wrongdoers
walad best rendered as born/offspring; again use context careful reading for precise meaning?
411 ? and to parents theirs to each one from them two the sixth from what left if kana/he is (m/s) for him/deceased person walad/born/offspring
Above is a simple conditional IF statement
IF ?kana/he is born (masculine singular)? to person i.e. if male child born/offspring or this case "a son" to deceased THEN 1/6 to parents2391 not has taken the god from walad/born/offspring (i.e. born/offspring of any sex)
If walad always and only meant son then it would not rule out taking daughters.Walad = child
Not necessarily always the case?
1221 and said the who bought him from Egypt to lady his make comfortable rest his perhaps that he will benefit us or we take him waladan/born/offspring of/as and like that established we to Yusuf in the earth and to teach him from interpretation the narratives and the god predominant on directive his and however more the humankind not who knowing

I strongly believe that no same word has different meaning in whatever context it might be. This means, we might be understanding it wrong, when we change its meaning. For example- Eisa was a son of Maryam
- Eisa was made/build by Maryam
These two example gives entirely different meaning. I understand that when Allah uses a particular word instead of many other words in any sentence, it must have some specific meaning for us to understand, instead of changing it with the context. Or I should say, instead of changing it as per traditional translations.

Peace mmkhan,
Words in all languages have different meanings depending on context. Again it?s as in the English beget/begot/begotten e.g.
Isa begot of Maryam
Haman beget (i.e. produce) for me a monumentQur?an has numerous examples of different meaning depending on context...

walad/born/offspring ? applicable to any age; child typically does not refer to adults.

Peace mmkhan,
Words in all languages have different meanings depending on context.
Salaamun alayka brother,
I believe that is not an evidence when we are talking about The Quran.
It's like saying all books in the world have some errors in them so there must be also some errors in The Quran.Qur?an has numerous examples of different meaning depending on context...
what/not
"MA" is not a word, it works like a function.
In combination with other "functions" like ILLA or WALAKIN etc etc etc the outcome of the function can vary.In algebra we have something like this
- = +
- = -
-+ = -
+- = -
++ = + -
- = +
similar is the case with MA and with a lot of other "functions". The term "function" is from me, I don't know how to call such "words".
the garden/jinn
jin and jan is not the same I believe
to the male/remembrance
thikr and thakr is not the same
434 wa-iribuhunna -- and travel/strike/show/put forth/leave them
Exact the same spelling is exact the same meaning. When there is a bit of difference in spelling then there is also a bit of difference in meaning.
But the core meaning of the word is always the same.279 ? writing the book with hands theirs
491 ? and restrain yeh hands theirs
538 and the thief (m) and the thief (f) so cut yeh hands theirs both"yad" does not mean hand. We understand it as hand but that is totally wrong understanding.

12100 and raised parents his on the throne?walad/born/offspring ? applicable to any age; child typically does not refer to adults.
What I said above applies also here.
Anyway this is my understanding at the moment, I could be totally wrong, but this is what Allah has taught me about some things of AlQuran.

Not errors; languages are imperfect, slang words, nuances, words with different meanings depending on context.
Exact the same spelling is exact the same meaning. When there is a bit of difference in spelling then there is also a bit of difference in meaning.

Salaamun alayka brother,
The word yad and it's derivatives are in The Quran according to corpusquran 120 times.
Not a single time it starts with AL hmmTo be honest I do not have a word for it in English, but also in Dutch (I live in The Netherlands) I can not find a word which is close to the meaning of yad.
But I will try to explain with an example.- I have an apple is in my YAD
- I have the power in my YAD
What is the similarity between YAD in 1 and YAD in 2?
If we understand the similarity between those 2 YADS then we have our definition of YAD and inshaAllah we will understand then every ayaat in the Quraan where "yad" is mentioned, because we understand now the core meaning of the word YAD.
We will inshaAllah understand then ayaats were for example "YAD Allah" is mentioned yesBut again this is how I understand it. I could be totally wrong. I use this method for every word in The Quran. Because there are no discrepancies in The Quran. And giving same words different meanings/concepts at different places is for sure in my eyes a discrepancy.
I can twist every word in my favour and who is then able to judge me wrong then?482

Yes I agree that mean beget/begot because it means 'gives rise to', which may refer to children or a building. So, does not necessarily means 'a son'. And I am sorry to say that I disagree with the red part above for alQuraan.

In Classical Arabic, the term "walad" is applied to one's child of any age and of both genders.
The term "ibn" is reserved exclusively for one's male child. In contrast, the term "ibnah" is applied to one's female child.
There are several Modern Arabic dialects that retain this distinction.
These definitions are ascertainable with proof, which, unfortunately, can't be said of many other opinions in this thread.

Photosynthesis is the process of converting light energy to chemical energy and storing it in the bonds of sugar. Plants need only light energy, CO2, and H2O to make sugar. The process of photosynthesis takes place in the chloroplasts (Zechariah, specifically using chlorophyll (Mariam). In the process Oxygen is also produced.
The overall chemical reaction involved in photosynthesis is
6CO2 + 6H2O (+ light energy) C6H12O6 + 6O2.
(MALAIKA)This is the source of the O2 (Eisa) we breathe, and thus, a significant factor in the concerns about deforestation.
There are two parts to photosynthesis. They are called the light reaction and the dark reactionThe ozone-oxygen cycle (http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ozone-oxygen_cycle)
It is the process by which ozone is continually regenerated in the Earth's stratosphere, all the while converting ultraviolet radiation (UV) into heat. Most of the ozone production occurs in the tropical upper stratosphere and mesosphere.
Chemistry
An oxygen molecule is split (photolyzed) by higher frequency UV light (top end of UV-B, UV-C and above) into two oxygen atoms
O2 + 2O (Crucifixion of Eissa)
Each oxygen atom then quickly combines with an oxygen molecule to form an ozone molecule
O + O2 O3 (Upliftment of Eissa)
GOD raised Eissa above, the place that we know as Ozone Layer.
Salaam!
