What is Islam?

Salam drfazl,
Khalifa
The duty of a Khalifa is to manage the earth and primarily; as a negotiator, mediator and conciliator, bringing balance and justice to the whole society and avoiding corruption on earth.
Salam muslims,
Let me be done with Khalifa first.
Allah had said He would place man His Khalifa on earth who shall know the truth of the heavens and the earth and everything in between by intuition from Him and has governing authority over them by His leave; and He had not mentioned who that man is; and who that one could be; and we do not know until Allah reveals if any man had attained that state yet. And it is not for us to choose even a leader in islam, leave alone khalifa.
The prophets and the messengers came with the Signs of Allah, from heavens down to earth; but then almost all of them were belied and denied by the rejectors and spoiled every efforts at conciliation, mediation and negotiation to the point that they drove even the Prophet Nuh to plead with Allah to destroy the world full of such sort of people. And this too is sunnatullah. This is justice, upholding the balance between the skies down to earth pleading and interceding with Allah.
The point is we would never know unless that time comes who Allah would reveal as His Khalifa on earth and when it happens we would know him too as we know our own kinsfolk.

Salam drfazl,
There is nothing in the definition or any of my post suggesting who is the Khalifa and we don't need heroes or Islamic government to practice Islam. Neither did I suggest for the formation of any entity, government or Khalifa institution etc. My discussion is focusing on identifying the Din of Islam, its objective and how we can improve "ourselves". We cannot change others, we can only change ourselves. Islam is not a religion, but Islam is a way of life (Din) ... Our way of life, not others.
Peace.
A Muslim must now learn how to become Negotiator, Mediator and Conciliator. There is no religion and it is not about to spread Islam, since Islam is not a religion. It is about to spread peace, harmony and unity in the society. It's about benefiting humanity, kindness to His creation and giving to relatives. This is how people from different backgrounds and traditions are able to accept Islam by our Prophet Muhammad pbuh. Unconditional acceptance (respect) of world religious practices and balancing what is just to every living creatures. This is "Din of Islam".
p/s and we do not need the Muslim identities or anything associating with "Islam" to spread peace, harmony and unity in the society etc.

peace Man of Faith, muslims, all
these few posts confirms me my view that maths and its numbers (0,1) are taught by bad jinns for the state of pride. maths will not make us individual. only make us groups/sects by comparing. also, maths is used to mislead from right to wrong making to believe wrong as right.
where as good doesn't need any numerical values. Good is Good.
i believe by birth we have wisdom from Allah. when we identify us with our mother, father, brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, uncle, aunt, friend, etc. we start loosing our wisdom from Allah. what we search in later days as knowledge is the wisdom we lost got from birth/Adam.
peace
Good. Hats Off. God Bless You.

This is called Sujd Being humble before GOD and waiting and seeking Patience for Wisdom. I think most of the Prophets followed for example Prophet Yacub. And Allah teaches in a way HE extends shadow.

Salam DrGm,
Please don't quote the Qur'an out of its context.
For example
And know that among you is Allah's Messenger were he, in many matters, to follow your (wishes), ye would certainly fall into misfortune But Allah has endeared the Faith to you, and has made it beautiful in your hearts, and He has made hateful to you Unbelief, wickedness, and rebellion such indeed are those who walk in righteousness (497)
Whom does Allah refer to in the words "to you" and "your"?
Peace brother.

Salam DrGm,
I rather limit the context of "Allah's Message" and "Messenger of Allah" to its original context
This day I have perfected for you your Din (dnakum)
and completed My favor upon you
and have approved for you Islam as your Din (dnan)
(<a href="http//quran.com/5/3">53</a>Muhammad is not the father of one of your men
but the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets
And ever is Allah
of all things, Knowing.

Salaamun alayka,
Do you have a verse for this statement?
Salaam,
BenderSalam Bender,
Not specifically and I'm referring to the asma ul husna.
It is also everywhere in the Qur'an that Allah is just (6115) and commands justice (1690).
If you wish, you can dispute this attribute and bring your perspective into discussion.
Peace brother.

Salaamun alayka bro,
6115 talks about Allah's Word not Himself.
1690 Allah commands here Al3dal NOT He is Al3adl.Salaam,

Salaamun alayka,
RED Allah never said he would place HIS khalifa on earth.
Allah has no khalifa, subhanaHu.Salaam,
BenderWould it be a blemish on Allah? Or do you think it would tarnish His image and undermine His Purity and Authority to get at such understanding? For who the universe is? It is for man; Subhanahu, Allah is Most Pure! Allah does not need it for Himself even a spec of it. Allah created it for man to think and ponder the skies and earth i.e. the entire universe so that they would by His leave shall obey and work by man's command. Do you deny any of these?
On the Last Day, heavens and the earth - the entire universe would be removed and changed for one last time that they would last forever. If you want to save you from the punishment of fire, 3191 ponder over them. If you do not do this, on the Lasting Day, when you will be rewarded and recompensed, - would last as long as the heavens and the earth would last. And it would last forever.
I do not see the need for your such expression "Subhanahu", here.

BenderSalam Bender,
As I said, the "asma ul husna" and "you can dispute this attribute and bring your perspective into discussion."
I believe this is your argument
Premise 1 Sura 6115 stated that "the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice"
Premise 2 You said "6115 talks about Allah's Word not Himself."
Conclusion Therefore, Allah is ___________________________?So then.. what is your conclusion and assumptions?
Peace brother.

The root 'a-d-l has the following classical Arabic connotations
- to act justly, fairly
- to be equitable, impartial
- to adjust properly, to make even
- to straighten, to rectify, to establish justice
- to balance, counterbalance, to make equal, uniform
- to turn one away from something, rightly direct
- to make comfortable with what is right
The One who rectifies and sets matters straight in a fair, impartial and equitable manner.
The One who always acts justly.
The One who delivers absolute justice.
The One whose wisdom of justice is based upon complete knowledge of past, present and future.
