So it been almost a month on my spiritual journey and my Quran only view i have got to say i'm very lonely
My parents don't believe what i say and they call me crazy they ask me why are a millions of Muslims doing the same thing if is bad
I try to explain is tradition not religion i know Allah is the truth and i asked for this from him. I cried to him one night and told him
i want to connected With you Ya Allah i want to connected with you please make it easier for me

i want to find out the truth let me go on a journey on finding the Truth let my soul go on this spiritual journey where i connect with you my Lord and im going through this journey right now and is very hard. what if im wrong what if Allah wouldn't accept me and my way isn't right what if im transgressing i stop my traditional way i don't even know how to praise My lord anymore i read the Quran i try to seek more knowledge but i don't know how Allah want me to praise him i cried i begun to cry even more

i feel worthless i feel like i dont deserve Allah to love me because i dont know how to praise him and i dont want to be among those who made him angry i just feel really low right now and my parent think i already went crazy and lost it they say i need to get my head check and i need to go to a mental institution. It is hard im just some stranger like you sitting behind a screen and typing my sorrows away and seeking truth and knowledge i have abandon everything i knew and starting fresh is hard i went through this forum and read everything about salat and everyone has different interpretation about it and how many is it. this the most vulnerable i been behind a screen all i ask Allah is for guidance i asked him to guide me like he guided all the messengers i wish i knew someone who live close to me to talk about this i just wish i knew if Allah is proud of me just following the Quran Alone

Don't get your mix of emotions get to you. Calm down, Stand up, and do good deeds. Help out people and help yourself. Keep educating yourself and grow forward. God did not create us to worship him 24/7. You have other duties to take care of ), It's not just about belief in God. It's about belief in God + doing good deeds.

      I suggest looking into MasjidTucson.org

Peace be with & may the blessings and mercy of God Almighty be upon you.

        Peace,

I know when one initially begins this journey, it can fill one with uncertainty as to what is the right and wrong way of doing things. You praise Him as you feel in that moment. He is your Creator and you are His creation. Don't over think it. The beauty of this way is that it is possible to have a personal relationship with God in your own unique way. You don't need to be dictated to and be expected to follow a dogmatic belief system. Your methodology may change with time but there's nothing wrong with that. Whatever helps you to connect is the correct way, in my opinion.

        Salaam.

            when u said " i don't know". it is a prayer and you're calling the All-Knower.

i feel worthless i feel like i dont deserve Allah to love me

this is the words of chytan making u to get away from the path of Allah.

please make it easier for me ..

..im going through this journey right now and is very hard.

following Him is following your heart. that which keep your heart feel good and easy is always from Allah. that which makes u difficult is not from Allah.

                Loveleen,
I think we can all relate to you on some level. None of us were born into Quran Alone (true Islam). I found my way 17 years ago. At first, I didn't want to believe it because it would mean leaving every belief I was attached to. Then when I finally embraced the truth with open arms, I went through a phase where I had to tell everybody! Everyone thought I was crazy and going astray. Then I felt alone and abandoned. Eventually I found my balance and realized there is no right religion. Only belief in God and a personal relationship with him. Quran is HIS book, so what better way to know him. Now i don't care much who believes me or not. I'm more concerned with the day of judgement. But most of my family agrees with much of what I say now. Not everything but a lot. So don't stop speaking the truth. Just do it in a non confrontational way. Peace.

                  Btw,
I agree that it doesn't matter how you pray as long as you fulfill the required acts. Personally I pray similar to how traditional Muslims pray, except I don't recite Durood and I end prayer with prostration and the words Alhamdulillahi Rab il Alameen (1010). But I don't judge others who pray differently. There are wrong ways to pray, but there is no one right way. It's between you and Allah.

What are the requirements of Salat in Quran?

                  1. Do ablution (Wudu) first
                  2. Face the Qibla (although this may not even matter)
                  3. Commemorate God Alone
                  4. Recite from Quran
                  5. Stand, bow and prostrate

                  Peace.

Thank You So Much To Everyone that commented you guys are freaking amazing

After i wrote that post i was going to do something irrational i was just going to give up and just go back to sect way i was just done with the sorrow and sadness and confusion and then you guys start to write and how you had similar story's it made me think about my action like what the heck am i doing i shouldn't give up because i feel this way and if i do i will sure be the loser in this world and the after so i had to suck it up and put on my big girl pants

i asked myself how can i just retire from my beautiful lord when i feel such a deep connection to him now more then ever i talked to allah and i know he listens to each and everyone of us and knows what we went through. but after i realize i shouldn't give up and take this journey head on i was gettin getting tired so i went to bed and i had a dream i really dont remember it all but the most vivid part of this dream is im sitting in my living room floor on my praying mat holding and reading the Quran just pondering over Allah book it was such a calming feeling but i wonder what this dream means

                    Salam

Salam, I would interpret that dream to mean you wish to continue this path despite the obstacles you face (even your own father) . It will be a hard task but often the best things in life are hard to reach.

Peace be unto thee Loveleen, all )

Why would God hate you for following His True Path?

My parents don't believe what i say and they call me crazy they ask me why are a millions of Muslims doing the same thing if is bad

6116 And if you obey most of those on the earth they will lead you away from the path of God; that is because they follow conjecture, and that is because they only guess.

Read this verse. God already warns us not to follow most of the people on this Earth because they only follow conjecture.

Just because the traditionalists are very large in number, doesn't mean that they are on the right track. Ponder the verse 6116 in the Holy Qur'an that I quoted above.
The most devoted religion in the world is Christianity. Are they right just because they are the largest in number?

RED Sorry to say but your parents made a fallacious argument against you. The fallacy is called Argumentum ad Polulum, which is like "Many believe it so, it is so".

Sunnis are really large in number? Billions? Who are the billions of Sunnis? Who found the stastics? Who make up the Sunni population?

People that are COUNTED as Sunnis in the stastistics consist of

                          1. Extremists such as Salafis, Wahhabis, Deobandis etc
                          2. The four madhabs (Shafi, Hanbali, Maliki, Hanafi) strong adherents.
                          3. Moderate Sunnis
                          4. Non-practising Sunnis
                          5. Sunnis who don't even know what Sunni / Ahlul Sunna Wa AlJama3ah is
                          6. Sunnis who are only Muslims (Sunnis) by name but don't know what Islam is.
Don't be surprised with the following lists
                          7. Ex-Sunnis who have secretly converted to other sects such as Shi'a, Qadiani etc
                          8. Apostates (ex-Muslims) who have later become...
                          9. (i) Christians
                          10. (ii) Atheists.
                          11. Quran-alone MUSLIMS.
                            And others
                          12. Uneducated/uncivilized people living in poor countries such as in some parts of Africa
and the list goes on and on

So not all the Billions of Sunnis are actually Sunnis. It is just an approximation based on simple calculation (I mean by simply summing up). How do I know this? Well, one of the reasons is the people who carry out the stastics do so by calculating people who are known as Muslims because of their birth certificates, identity cards, documents, community and where they are from? i.e. if the Muslims are from Iran, most of them are automatically counted as Shi'ites because Iran is a Shi'a-majority country (even though some of the Iranian Muslims who are counted as Shi'ites are perhaps atheists who left islam, Qur'an-aloners, Sunnis etc).

I am sorry for talking about this Sunni-statistic thingy. I think I should create a new thread about this and elaborate it more )

i feel worthless i feel like i dont deserve Allah to love me because i dont know how to praise him and i dont want to be among those who made him angry i just feel really low right now and my parent think i already went crazy and lost it they say i need to get my head check and i need to go to a mental institution.

Please do not feel worthless. It has been 3 1/3 months since I totally became a Qur'an-alone muslim. It took some times for me to think and think and think and decide about this. When the first time I heard about Quranism, I was like "impossible" but at least I never condemmed it. A few months ago while I was reading an article on a website, I felt really happy and satisfied until I found out that the website was a Quranist website. I felt upset and I was like "Argghhh this is a Quranist website! Where are other mainstream-Islamic websites that support my view?". But by God's grace, I kept searching the truth and accepted it. Don't worry about your parents' will to send you to a mental institution just because you tell them you have accepted the truth. If you are admitted to a mental hospital, just consider it as one of God's greatest tests for you.
When I turn 18, next year, I will send my parents a letter about this.

i went through this forum and read everything about salat and everyone has different interpretation about it and how many is it.

It is not only Qur'an-alone muslims that have different interpretations on some issues. Traditional Muslims also have much more contradictory interpretations. So don't worry about it. Study the thing that you have doubt, compare and pray to the Lord that he will make it easier and clarify to you, God willing.

Just read the stories in Qur'an about God's messengers Jesus/Isa, Moses/Musa, Noah/Nuh, Abraham/Ibrahim etc. Many people used to reject them.

                          Regards,
                          Yuliana

Just as an advice, don't tell you parents anything that might make them upset, unless you can live independently.
you can advise your parents, but you can't necessarily guide them, and vice versa.

                                Thank you youssef

I was thinking about moving out on October but i decide it not to because when you love someone so much you just cant let them be in the path they are so i will do what you said but known my family they will ask questions and want to know why i do the things i do and then i can explain to them.

today i was at Teavannah (little cute store where they sell tea's) with my mom she told me why am i so adamant about the path im going and i told my mom.....Mom do you ever wonder why you do the things you do? do you ever question? and she reply to me we ladies dont question the people who's in authority

i said something to her that made her think i told her who is in control them or God and i said i love you mom with all my heart and my soul but God gave you a mind so think mom i know how you are your so passionate at what you do your an amazing women if it wasn't for you i wouldn't be the women i am today i also said that if she is for women right then why are you supporting something thats degrading women

                                Salam

What are the requirements of Salat in Quran?

                                  1. Do ablution (Wudu) first
                                  2. Face the Qibla (although this may not even matter)
                                  3. Commemorate God Alone
                                  4. Recite from Quran
                                  5. Stand, bow and prostrate

                                  Peace.

WOW! How uncanny, that's precisely how I pray!

                                  peace

Reading this is like a blast from the past.

My experience of this journey has led to this understanding

There has always been an unbroken chain of secret quran-only souls all the way through from beginning to end.

There have always been countless many seekers of Allah/Tao/YHWH/Brahman/" "
Again, an unbroken stream of sincere pure souls, seeking and teaching

The best of teachers is The Light of the Heavens and Earth
and it may help to have good company through this sincere pure kind souls who desire from you no reward

In this context I have found that Sahaja Yoga is a good place to start. Yoga, meditation, chi-gong, mantra. Do everything to anchor your Self into your Body and the rest will be so easy that every day you will wake up shining with the glory of The God before your eyes.

The journey can be fast or slow, all up to you. I was the type who wanted it yesterday and so The God gave it to me yesterday, now the Earth is spinning round and I feel like the rest of the world is catching up. But then also the realisation that everybody themselves has it yesterday and they may understand this should they seek!

The God has shaped your body to be infinite in many ways, yet limited by one thing time
Fear will be released with firm knowledge, so look for the moments where everything claps and clicks into place. There you shall find your Rabb speaking, through the people, listen to the signs of your Rabb and trust it will be fine.

A lot of us are on this forum "on the other side" where it has become manifestly clear and we have entirely broken out of the matrix and are now finding truly our place on the Earth and in the cosmos. Let us all carry you through the Divided Sea, by the leave of The Light of the Heavens and Earth jedi

Peace be upon you, kind soul, forever and ever

                                          Salam My Beautiful Sisters&brothers

                                          Salam
                                          Loveleen

I am not sure why many Quranist discuss these issues with parents and relatives. Seek knowledge is the best answer anyone can give you. There is no way to do salat. Even Sunni sources say the prophet prayed twice in Mecca and there was no specific way to pray when he was in Mecca. We have a very legalistic view of rituals. Anyways Allah is not going to make such judgments about you that easy. You will face trials and tribulations and you will face serious testing.
