Why can?t a Muslim woman marry a non-Muslim man? i been wondering this lately

Because the male is the dominant partner of the marriage, therefore, there is a great chance that the Muslim woman will be pressured to become a non-Muslim, and an ever greater chance that the children will be non-Muslims.

You can disagree all you want, but the Quran says that the husband is the dominant partner in the marriage

Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient (Surah 434)

It's obvious that the husband is the dominant partner. The wife stays at home and takes care of the kids, while the husband goes out to work to support and maintain his household.

You say your "friend" fell in love with a non-Muslim. That itself is haram and shows that she is an immoral woman. In Islam its forbidden for men and women to have relationship before marriage.

Also ask your friend what religion will the children be raised in. What guarantee the children will be raised as Muslims?

You should strongly discourage your friend from marrying a non-Muslim. Tell her that her family will regard her as a prostitute and her children will be regarded as bastards

Well most people are raised by mother and father. Single mother or single father is the exception, not the rule.

You say that the kids will choose their own religion. How does a child choose what religion he or she is raised with? For example, in Islam a baby boy is circumcised on the seventh day after being born. Will you ask the baby "Do you want to be a Muslim baby (circumcised) or a Christian baby (uncircumcised)"?

Let me correct myself his mother wanted them to chose what religion they wanted and most family aren't raised by a mother and father and especially in this era

Maybe most non-Muslim families aren't raised by mother and father (most non-Muslims these days don't even think getting married is necessary).

But I assure you, most Muslims are raised by a loving mother and father, yesterday, today and tomorrow.

They are a tiny minority. Vast majority of Muslims are raised by both father and mother, as divorce is very rare among Muslims as compared to non-Muslims.

i disagree with you on that because you were probably raised in a bubble where you think muslim dont divorce and is just a tiny majority when truth is more then that

As pe the Qur'an there are the same restrictions on marriage, exactly the same for men and for women. Whatever a woman can marry, a man can, and viceversa. No aya of the Qur'an says different. Any difference is due to legislation instroduced through history by humans, not by God in His revelation, therefore those differences do not bind anybody.

This question often comes up when critics begin to point out the inequality of men and women which they believe the Koran contains.

If God really intended women to marry non-Muslims, I think God would have said it....the way He said it for men....as we believe that God's Book is fully detailed and complete. But again...God knows best.

I have no clue as to how to interpret this silence...

Even then, marriage to a non-Muslim will not make the woman a prostitute or her children bastards! Judgement rests with God, not with us.

You don't half make me chuckle with this nonsense which you spew-I'm sure you don't really believe all of this rubbish which you've written.

And yes, better to be beaten than be a whore, and better to abuse children than to have them be labelled as "bastards".

What a wonderful world you live in.

Indeed it would be grob to order believing women to marry men that were not muhsan and to order men to marry women who are muhsan, if as it is being suggested by translators and others muhsan means chaste and it would also be contradictory with the rest of Qur'an.
