No. I have just read and studied Karl Marx ideology and I know it is based on socialism. And I also know that those states that called themselves "communism" up until this day were just hypocritical dictatorships under a false flag of communism.

It may be because people think like you the Muslim countries look like they do with atheist countries like those in Scandinavia with the best social security systems in the world.

That it is not 100% equity in this world is because man is egotistical and makes it so, but the perfect community would give even resources to all its citizens. It does not require some Quran passages to realize that. Just reflect on the reason why a person is supposed to give to charity. If everyone did then there would be no poverty in the world, but a small percentage of the world's population clings on to the wealth they possess.

Material is just made out of energy/heat and is that worth clinging unto like a primate saying "Mine! Mine! Mine!". If you speak of heritage then you inherit nothing that you will be taking with you when you die.

Even the sectarian interpretation is against materialism and wealth.

Okay. A communism may have private property when it comes to the things in your home etc, but all companies and large corporations are run together by all its citizens and owned that way. The generated profit is then split evenly between all its employees.

And the Sustainer sustains even the sinner so why would not a community provide for a sinner as well?

And 6165 does not say it is more wealth to these people just that there are some with higher rank. Even a communism would require some leader figures.

Anyway, let us drop this. It is off-topic and we get nowhere with it.

    Be well

Communism would be great if it weren't for reality, humans, God, and other troublesome things like differences and the tendency of people to create cliques, gangs, and some people to seek power and manipulate others.

Communism is idealistic, and evil tendencies seem to win out and defeat any sincere efforts of good people.

Better to have robots do everything while not forgetting our skills, and then there is also anarchy, where people would naturally be forced to be nice if they want help and cooperation from others, which leads to units, communities, tribes, that turn into gangs and governments, and it all just happens again.

Generally, the way things are run everywhere, is how they have for the most part been run everywhere. Certain individuals gravitate to positions of power where others are taken advantage of, and bend rules where rules are made that should restrict them, and differences in opinions or differences of any sort are the cause of conflict between the warring apes, and certain people become chiefs and others are followers for one reason or another.

The ideal government is me as the King, everyone else having slave units on them, binding their necks and controlling their bodies. Their brains completely zapped out so that they do not suffer at my will, and then they are made to serve me and do whatever I want, and I can make them all happy too.

God is the governor though, and there is only one evil truly, and that is the experience of suffering. If suffering was removed from existence, then nothing would be "evil" really and everyone would be happy no matter what. That is not what God wants, or else God would do it.

The problem is that those so-called communisms never were any communism and gave a bad name to a fine ideology. For it to work the state needs to have a firm and good constitution first that it allows the system to be implemented without evil forces seizing control preferably being a democracy.

One cannot call either of the countries Russia, China or Cuba communism because how they look within the country is anything other than what they claimed.

But like I wrote, socialism is actually a semi-implementation of communism even if people are scared of communism but many embrace socialism. Many people are also scared because it means that no one personally owns any factories and companies but the state makes sure the revenue is split evenly among its citizens.

As for lazy citizens not doing anything there are always measures to take by lawmaking.

Trust me, with the development of technology if the system had nation-wide application then each citizen could work half-time per day or so because automation can do a lot. And no citizen goes hungry because the system provides for everyone and the money is not in the hands of some tiny percent of individuals.

      Be well

Salam. Just to share a personal opinion after lurking the net and learning from others.

Salat is commitment and when combined with Zakat it means purify and grow your commitments.

As a human being, each one is assigned tasks based on roles one plays whilst living on this earth. For example A man who is married and have children is given the task of being a father, provider, husband, worker (if he is working), manager (if he is a boss), etc. Just looking at ourselves and the current roles we play (whether by choice or not) we are assigned tasks or commitments to perform this tasks as well as possible.

Often than not, we tend to create commitments that are not beneficial to us or others. Example committing to hang around in pubs with friends until late nights while we have a family at home may not provide benefit or may even be a complete waste of time. These wasteful acts of commitments need to be weeded out hence the act of limiting oneself to beneficial acts / commitments is Zakat. One would improve oneself further if the time saved from hanging in bars are used elsewhere more beneficial like quality time with the kids/wife/part time classes/jobs. In short Salat and Zakat combined is promoting steadfastness in acting out our commitments from the roles we play as well as weeding out unnecessary acts or wasteful acts.

As a human being who believes in Allah and the Quran, one of the commitment given is also the specific and deliberate act of personal communication with Allah. The times for this according to the Quran is Fajar and Isya'. Wusta is the period within for either Fajar and Isya', a short period between 'night to day' and 'day to night'. Given the short period, that is why it needs to be 'guarded'/disciplined. Given the short period, the specific communication with Allah needs to be performed even if one is found in an event where people congregate like seminars/shopping/etc. Jumaat prayer is not another prayer but the need to keep our commitments to the specific communication with Allah at the prescribed time. The only excuse when one cannot perform the specific communication to Allah is when someone is absent of mind like sleeping/intoxicated/etc (does not include menstruation or other sickness).

As for tahajjud, it is just doing something extra of a commitment to get extra benefits like extra studying/research/work etc.

So in short, human existence comes with purpose/roles/commitments. Need not go far to find out why we are here, just look at ourselves and the roles we play. Unfortunately not many realises that the roles and commitment we perform is the servitude that is required from us as a human being. Allah needs no servants but we as humans need to perform the functions we are assigned with as servitude and gratitude to our maker and with this realisation it becomes that which we always say in solat that our life and death is for Allah.

We are the created, a created being comes with purpose of creation, our purpose is to fulfill what Allah intends/assigned. So play our assigned roles to the fullest, weed out wasteful acts, grow our commitments to benefit mankind (we start micro i.e for ourselves then we graduate to macro ie for humankind) do good, avoid bad, do not go beyond Allah specific boundaries, avoid oppression and do not oppress oneself or others, be grateful and by fulfilling our roles and commitments we also attest our gratefulness to Allah.

Sorry for my English and I won't be able to provide specific references in the Quran. Just my understanding.

        Cool post and ideas!

          my dear hawk99 and others,
we all are searching for salat, even with the help of minor clues . a very common word is used for salat is an arabic word, is also quranic word,"FARD" which in english may translate as compulsory or necessory or must do or obligatory etc.
people will often say that islam wants us to do five time daily prayers which is "fard" on us,and then while praying ,salat has units called rakats, here too we have 2 or 3 or 4 units that we have to do as "fard"this word fard is used 4 times in quran ,according to my old quran browser which may or may not be correct,I dont have a new one.Now status of salat we all know is always said by using the word "fard".In a recent post by one of the members here on this forum says, that quran uses the word"fard" formany good deeds but never uses the word "fard" for salat, quran uses another word about status of salat, which is "kataba"which means "is written" or is in writing for you, this word "kataba" again does not mean obligatory or must do,so what ever the salat is ,its status is choice not must do,you may salat or not,it is never fard on you.will some one who knows arabic clarify the meanings of these two quranic words, that is --fard and kataba, thanks for your reading.

            @marifhaq see http//corpus.quran.com/qurandictionary.jsp?q=frd#(6943)

            f-r-d means "single, one"

in colloquial Medieval Baghdadi Arabic (although it would have been pronounced with guttural "r" as in French and Modern Hebrew according to the sound system of that dialect, which provides insight to the development of its modern pronunciation), which is itself probably a grammatical influence from Persian or Aramaic via substrate/superstrate or bilingualism.

kataba means "written" but when God writes something this can not be compared to a human writing something. What God writes manifests itself in reality whereas human scripture is in the best case an approximation of an established reality they have no control over.

When God does not 'write' faith into ones heart, one will never succeed in salat, zakat or any of those.

            Peace

We have Fa-Ra-Dal = to be alone, separated, single, sole, simple,
uncompound, secede, isolate, busy oneself soley about a thing,
seclude oneself from the world, without companions/offspring.

And we have Fa-Ra-Dad = to impose law, prescribe, ordain, enact, settle,
fix, ratify, appoint, command an observation or obedience to, sanction,
assign, be aged. faridzun - old cow. faridzatun - ordinance, settlement,
settled portion, jointure stipulation. mafrudz - appointed, determinate,
                  settled one, allotted.

In sura 24 (An Nur) some folks refer to as the obligatory sura Fa-Ra-Dad
is used. The sura informs us what is needed for success, salat is one of those things listed,
however, there is no rakat system or obligatory number of salats highlighted or any expiation
for missing salat in the obligatory sura. (my Arabic is poor please double check)

May Allah guide us all to the truth

This was posted in an off topic thread and thought to post it in a relevant thread. A question to contemplate. What makes you better than the fellow humans you belittle for doing the exact same thing you do?
