I gained a wife and family from praying (non-ritualistically) amongst other things.

No need to do any particular acrobatics to have the Sustainer hearken. That was years before I was deluded by Islam.

The Sustainer still hearkens unto my prayers even after I stopped the salat delusion, and after doing so I actually feel further in through the "Door".

      Be well

        Peace Jafar.

What do you gain from doing a lot of other things, good or bad in this life?

Why do you think people who are wicked carry on with their wickedness? May be they gain from it in this life!!!!

If you do things for your next life, providing you really believe in the hereafter, then you should not be expecting any gains in this life or should you?

        GOD bless you.
        Peace.

A complicated question to answer a very simple question..
So what are you saying here?

            Peace Jafar.

I am simply saying I am not expecting to gain anything.

I am hoping to gain something in the hereafter.

And in this life I am trying to do my best.

            GOD bless you.
            Peace.

It is better not to pray. Then you know you get what you need because the Sustainer is wisest. But if you still insist then make sure the prayer is wise.

Remind yourself often what must be done. That is often called prayer erroneously.

Sometimes crying out in prayer helps and the burden is eased (a misunderstanding clarified or some other help comes). Though I admid that this easing after despair even worked before I consciously prayed...

Wudu is mentioned in the Qur'an though! haha

Wash your hands up to your elbows, your feet up to your ankles, lightly rub your head, wash your face, with the blooood of your enemies!

Oh speaking of which, is that metaphorical!? To the people who say Salat is metaphorical, is the wudu before the Salat metaphorical as well? Haha

I came to know I had fallen into a PYRE by following the ritual PRAYER; by Allah, I have come out of it thirty five years ago; and now I am hopeful of God's Grace, His Forgiveness and His Mercy.

What Shaytaan, hawk99? Your sentence does not make any sense. You speak as if Shaytaan was a person. Something must be wrong.

It is better not to pray unless you are really aware what is good for you, as per my example. My praying was not wise but based on the situation back then. And I was not knowledgeable about life.

No matter you pray or not the Sustainer knows what you need.

Nevertheless I ask the Sustainer from time to time for things such as knowledge. My ascension to knowledge, the knowledge you do your utmost to attack in the forum, is due to prayer.

                                          Reel and Ree,

Jafar does not consider Quran to be written with direct influence of the Sustainer but rather wise words at best, and he considers that adherence to religion is a fallacy. We have much in common ie and I, except I gave mercy to Quran and saw that behind a charade is a much more truthful interpretation which does sound fairly identical to what Jesus taught. Quran's mainstream interpretations misrepresent the Sustainer's nature utterly and the faith at whole.

The mainstream interpretation is like putting down sheets of paper in bleach to have it all white and then write something else on top of it where the old color faded away, except that they did leave the original Arabic mostly intact yet managed to ruin the whole discourse.

                                          That is wicked.

                                          Be well
