My family dreaded it when I was an Atheist. I felt not my best at that point of life either.
I actually moved out during that time and lived on my own, but I don't have the financial security at the moment. I had to move back.

A lot of the people that I know dislike Islam due to all the negative media stereotypes all over the place.

But I just find Islam makes the most sense to me after a lot of research of different other religions and trying them out.

All the other religions used too much idolatry or just didn't feel like they are truly submitting to God alone.

I don't want to seem like a fake or anything like that. I'm still learning about Islam as a novice. I have been starting from the beginning of the Quran.

May I ask why you were an atheist?

I am always interested in what other ex-atheists have to say about their faith journey.

I am always interested in what other ex-atheists have to say about their faith journey.

once i asked from one of my close friend he is athiest,,, how do you feel when you are in trouble...

he replied to me , i talk with myself...

indirectly he is talking with his real self a connection of spirit to God...

athiest dnt kknow what exactly God is... on the basis of this they denied it... a real logical error.. becoz u deny a thing if you have full knowledge of something...

let say i claim holding a pen in my hand thats book?
suddenly somebody correct me its not book... even if he dnt know what pen is... but he know what book is...

when athiest claim there is no God ...its mean they dnt really know what God is...and they claim something which they have no knowledge off...

What I have noticed is that different atheists have different reasons. According to a research, its mostly because of emotional reasons. I also blame priests who say faith and logic can't go hand in hand. That means throwing God out of reality. Christian priests do the worst by saying God is all loving and then not completing the line. Reality is that when we are good to others we attract the positive. When we are bad we attract the negative. Relationship with God works in that same way. When we are good to him and his creation we get his love in return. And of course, this is not always about playing fool by being all emotional. We also have to use the brain!

I halted reading my Quran a few months ago due to family members disagreeing with me about the Islamic religion. I wasn't talking about it openly, but more like hinting at Islam
I am an adult but live with extended family. They are all Christians.

Is it OK being a Secret Muslim?
I don't want to bring conflict into my family by outwardly talking about Islam. I rather keep Islam secret between myself and God.

I find that Islam is a truly beautiful religion. I think the Quran is the only word of God. The Hadiths and Sunnah are both innovations, which I don't follow.

Welcome to Islam and forum. There is nothing wrong in being a secret Muslim. In fact, sometimes we have to hide what we are or stand for to avoid conflict with Sunnis and Shias.

          Do you know

          1. You don't need to be a Muslim for reading the Quran?
          2. You don't need a Quran to be a muslim?
          3. You don't need to be a Christian for reading the Bible?

Did you know you can be fooled easily by mullahs to take a path other than God's when you don't read the Quran?
What is the similarity between hardcore atheism and Muslims who don't read and understand Quran?
Answer Both support human gods, polygamy, misogyny, backwardness, pedophilia, killing of people from different beliefs, destruction of freedom of speech and science if they are not in line with their belief.
Important note For backwardness, while "true" sectarians may prefer to stick to 9th century, "true" atheists are more prone to preferring the time when humans had no idea about what civilization was.
Definition of true atheist Ask that to an atheist. Usually, it is an atheist who questions atheist doctrine and converts to deism or another religion.

            Finish The Quran
            That is most important
Other than that, what are you arguing with your family about if you don't know the entire Book?
There are many tools at your disposal
            Make use of them
Let God teach you the Book
            Be patient with the Reading

Don't argue or discuss until you have completed the Book

If you read the entire Quran you would have the answer to this question, God warns against this.

There was a man among the family of pharaoh who concealed his faith

Please do not be like the hypocrites and actually finish the Quran

            It is the Best Advice

            Peace

best advise is to complete reading it once becoz sometimes the answers of questions lies inside the book on some other places .

but let him ask questions as well becoz it will help him though, its not a big deal...

my brother whatever u have in the mind u are weclcome to ask any time...

              God bless you

                Peace reel, all,

Did you know you can be fooled easily by mullahs to take a path other than God's when you don't read the Quran?

Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Ismail, Jacob, Joseph, David, Solomon, Moses etc. were easily fooled by their mullahs or priests because they never read or idolized the quran.

What is the similarity between hardcore atheism and Muslims who don't read and understand Quran?

Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Ismail, Jacob, Joseph, David, Solomon, Moses never read or understood the quran, that is why they were atheists.

Both support human gods, polygamy, misogyny, backwardness, pedophilia, killing of people from different beliefs, destruction of freedom of speech and science if they are not in line with their belief.

The real reason is they do not use their mind/reason/knowledge/intuition and truths in the horizons and within themselves.

                Peace

PS People who have zero sense of sarcasm or zero ability to use their mind/reason need not reply.

Is it OK being a Secret Muslim?
I don't want to bring conflict into my family by outwardly talking about Islam. I rather keep Islam secret between myself and God.

islam is an attitude, it's different than Islam the religion..
Those who have such attitude are being called muslim (different than Muslim, the member of Islam religion)
You don't need to keep it secret and it's easily recognized and usually people, including your family, don't mind such attitude..

islam the attitude has no correlation with Quran or any other holy books...
Yet.. many books (including today's self help books) teaches / recommends islam, the attitude..

                    Example
"let your will be done, on earth, just as it is in Heaven"
                    -- Matt 6

I find that Islam is a truly beautiful religion. I think the Quran is the only word of God. The Hadiths and Sunnah are both innovations, which I don't follow.

The "Word/Saying of God" can be found everywhere.. you just need to listen..
And it's the "saying" which nobody can forge...

                      Agreed. bravo

Even the quran itself doesn't claim it is "the only word of God".

Even the quran admits that ayaat/signs are present in the horizons and within ourselves (4153, 5120-21) and not only in the quran, and those ayaat/signs in the horizons and within ourselves will be used for verification of the quran itself, therefore having higher authority than the quran.

                      Peace

The Quran is a book, a dead matter, it cannot have any authority or power to impose anything to human...

Evidence should be used to verify claim and opinion made by anyone...

                            two logical fallacies... lol peace

1 athiest by defination is not the one who dnt follow quran... athiest is the one who dnt beleive in God...christians jews buddist, hindus are not athiest... hence all these prophets are not consider as athiest... 0/10

2 moses bring scripture/message, david bring scripture/message, as well as jesus.. from time to time... the last scripture applied on last prophet hence others automatically exempt to follow it... this time i m marking it by negetive marking -10/10 lol errors = time errors, logical errors, definations errors, meanings errors, present past errors... and moreover... logical falllacy errors... height of errors = negetive marking...

                              With you bro!

                              Truthseeker bro, this
arrogance in the land and plotting of evil; but the evil plot does not encompass except its own people. Then do they await except the way of the former peoples? But you will never find in the way of Allah any change, and you will never find in the way of Allah any alteration.3543
Allah wants to make clear to you and guide you to the practices of those before you and to accept your repentance. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.426
He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you, and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not be divided therein. Difficult for those who associate others with Allah is that to which you invite them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back 4213
established way for those We had sent before you of Our messengers; and you will not find in Our way any alteration.1777

It is very easy to know what is Allah's way when we follow Quran by keeping our eyes and ears open. Unfortunately, this is discouraged in shiasm and sunnism.

                                Peace everyone,

Some posters don't seem to have any clue what my post was about. Maybe they are careless and don't bother to read and understand everything someone writes otherwise they would have known the simple literary device employed. Read it again, every sentence in it. Use your God given minds folks. brickwall

Actually this was a good test to see who really pays attention and how their minds operate.

some ancient people claim a famous proverb,,

small mouth big words, sometimes i understand what they actually mean by this... becoz uttering big words from small mouth is same like claiming something very big but without any proof become their own necktrap fits well the situation... police

                                      Peace

No we understand your sarcasm and nature very well. We are in disagreement with your understanding of Quran, Faith and belief

The Quran is part of The Book and if you earnestly studied it you'd know that parts of the Scripture that was given to Ibrahim and Musa are reoccurring in the Quran.

The Message never changes it always the same as sister reel said.

You bring up the names of these prophets as if they did not receive or need to follow God's Words/ Guidance/ Knowledge/Books/Scripture

Ordinary believers necessitate the guidance from God's Words just as much as all the prophets did.

In fact, people who like you tend to encourage abandoning the book and following desires as intuition and assumption without guidance from the book tend to be easy bait for the shaytan and tend to be fooled by nonsense like extraterrestrials and false messengers...

As a born within Islam religion, I really don't recommend you (or anyone) to join the religion of Islam.
The religion is similar to any other organized religion or gangs.. if not worse.
They're claiming to be the most enlightened people on earth, and they see others who don't agree with them as either unenlightened and need to be converted or as an enemy that need to be destroyed.

What does that have to do with what I said or Islam?

what i feel is he is ancient alien theorist , who want to put some theories in side the quran... and he twist some meanings of things to make sure his theories of ancient aliens are correct,,, forget about quran becoz quran is false book and got lot of contradiction, thats what i see all in his posts...

he is not a true beleiver of quran clearly becoz according to him God is ignorat, got no knowledge of future.. and things like that,,,

according to him the greed of money is interjected in human by extra terrositrail beings ... rotfl

                                          lot of other things...

but he forget one thing a true beleiver filter every claim through quran... its not mean we start derailing the teaching of quran to make our motif correct... those people who do things like that the clear message is in the quran who actually they are?

                                          peace
