I don't know how relevant it is, but the Caltech Institute has a very good reputation, scientifically speaking

Most meats shouldn't be consumed uncooked, and even cooked some can carry even dangerouser diseases than a brain parasite.
Abstaining from meat still since it's rather unhealthy generally.

There are many parasites that can enter the body through eating vegetables and fruits also, or by just breathing air or drinking water.

Are you serious? Where do you get your protein from?
BTW, there is a difference between good and bad quality meat.

I am no longer a Sunna-rejecter. See 4:59-65, 62:2-4, 3:31, 4:156, 7:157 Messenger teaches and is to be followed and obeyed. Examples of revelation received which is not in the Qur'an: 3:123-126, 33:37, 2:187, 66:3, 62:9.

                Peace,
                Respectfully.

The Exalted God The Most Merciful has given us so many of them chicken, lamb, cow, turkey, duck, horse, camel, ..... why must one concetrate so much on the pork?
I mean, i believe that The Exalted God The Most Powerful has forbidden pork to just test our obediance, right? No one has ever died from eating pork and we already had mad cow disease, bird flu, all halal animals were dangerous, right? I guess it's time for porky to be dangerous.

                Just abstain from pork.
Have a colonel's meal at KFC or shwarma lamb in pitta bread at your local Maroush place or go to Texas and shoot a horse. For dinner not out of rage.lol. Brother John is already there.
                Sir, bon apetite.

                Peace.

It is illegal to shoot a horse here, horses also have the right of way on roads.

I was just slightly tired when I wrote that message, the meat I abstain from is cow meat, and I do it cause of how nutrionally unbalanced it is compared to chicken or fish for an example, and then there's the risk of mad cow's disease - I'd rather have an parasite than prions on my brain. I mostly eat vegetarian nowadays after switiching to that out of respect for my girlfriend, but with the addition of fish and seafood whenever that's possible. But I won't say no to any food that's been prepared for me, that'd just be a waste of food.
Wouldn't say no thanks to some pork if I was offered it, bacon is always delicious.

Well, there is more iron in beef, so as long as it doesn't have BSE (mad cow) it can be better than chicken, as long as it is in moderate quantities (i.e. a little smaller than a deck of cards at a few meals over the week)

The trouble is, a lot of beef is consumed as grilled patties or in barbecues or so on. And this causes carcinogens to form.
On the other hand, even grilled chicken has similar carcinogenic amines (according to the second url) so it is a question of preparation more than the meat itself.

Chicken (although I love it) seems to neither have the high iron content of beef and certain other red meats nor the omega 3 fatty acids and other beneficial nutrients found in fish.

maybe, but my whole point was that chicken doesn't have the same health benefits as fish, (both white meats)
