I am more incline towards your interpretation of Alf Sinatin means long period but I cant find the interpretation of exception particle attached to this verse which stopped me accepting completely. How do we translate it?
I have checked other verses, like in Chapter 2 verse 96 means long period, in chapter 97 verse 3 (I think) also means abundance or long period, also I can't remember the verse but in somewhere in Quran, God is talking about his one day as a long period (Alf Sinatin).
I am sure other people on this group will either endorse or oppose the theory.
