    Peace

It seems like bad/immoral people tend to win in life whether socially or professionally etc., 9 times out of 10 this seems to be the case from my observations. I see arrogant people doing well, and living happy lives. Narcissists doing really well. Sinners living happily with more health, happier relationships etc. Yet a lot of humble people and people who seem good-hearted seem not to win or live happy lives. Not always obviously but a lot of the time. Do believers get tested more with trials than disbelievers or are tragedies for believers and disbelievers equal?

    20124

'But he who turneth away from remembrance of Me, his will be a narrow life, and I shall bring him blind to the assembly on the Day of Resurrection.' — English Translation (Pickthall)

'And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind.' — Saheeh International

In some translations, the notes state that a narrow life simply means a life lacking in true purpose and meaning etc., so not necessarily a depressed life. Yet others state a depressed life...I'm not sure which it means? If anyone knows the exact meaning of the phrase in Arabic, could you please elaborate on that?

'Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward according to the best of what they used to do.' 1697

Does a good life mean a happy life, a successful life or a morally correct life? I'm confused...because you can still be unhappy and live a morally righteous life.

Do true believers and submitters get depressed? If so, is this a sign they're not doing enough good deeds? Or is it a trial? Or a punishment?

'And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient,' 2155

Also, could it be possible that some people are born with certain blessings more than others because of our past life? The one before this life in which we were ignorant and agreed to 'the trust' to take the test on earth? Maybe some were worse than others and therefore were born into less advantageous circumstances? But then again, did we have previous life or were we dead and our souls agreed to the trust?

'Indeed, We offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they declined to bear it and feared it; but man bear it. Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant.'
    — Saheeh International 3372

How has it been for you? Do you feel the same or not? Do you see good people winning in life?

Something I noticed is that successful people are often more career or business-minded and they work hard in creative ways, although they may not always be so humble. Less successful people are often busy with more immediate issues they consider more important, like raising children and supporting a large family.

Some extremely successful or wealthy people like Bill Gates are very humble and generous.

        Peace Sarah.
GOD said in Qoran , regardless of people, He provides for His servants.
GOD always speaks the truth , the question is Who are His servants? Bill Gates? you? me? Brother aqua? ( sorry brother aqua, the only reason I mentioned these 4 is because they are mentioned in these 3 posts) Any human?..Anyone just rich? Anyone but poor? who then?

Or is the question What is successful? What is rich and what is poor? Can one be rich just by having billions in money? Or can someone be poor by not having even few dollars or nothing?
Is being rich bad? How rich can one be?
I would ask a more important question
What is the priority in life?
Once this is addressed one can then look at what they do for themselves and for others around them ,how they live their own life around their family ,friends and community and how they grow in character and personality .

By the way GOD s servants, I mentioned above, are those who acknowledge their creator, are GOD conscious and are certain they will be accountable for what they say and do in their life. They try their best to make an effort to live by GOD s instructions and start on the straight path , then seek GODs help and guidance in everything they do in their life.

GOD will provide for them as He promised.- -i.e their effort ,behaviour and honesty is opening the door to success- GOD s law of success-
Here are the five basic rules of GOD s successful life

1-All people are one community. love GOD and love all His creation. Do not be exclusive to some and divisive with others.

2- God gave dignity to every human. do not oppress or discriminate or enslave anyone or lord it over anyone.

3-God s natural resources are for everyone. They do not belong to the greedy. They should serve the needy first. Sharing what GOD gave is required from us.First and foremost the orphans and poor should be first on the list not the rich and those who monopolise and steal GOD s resources to keep them from others that have the most need.

4- Justice and kindness towards others are a must. Putting others before our selfish needs . finding the balance between our need and greed must be sought for the good of all.
No one should be unjust towards others because they are different. No one should be greedy and leaves others hungry and homeless. We are all one family and we must look after one another.

5- without the above principles there cannot be peace among the humans.Peace will then be the outcome as we will care for one another, share with one another and help one another. we will all make the effort under the watchful eye of our creator and with His help. Peace and security will be the ground for success.

These are the main instructions given to us in Qoran by our creator.
However we prefer our own systems and there is no answer to your question in any man s system.
Under GOD s system every one will be provided for. and all will be successful
        GOD bless you.
        Peace.

          Not so sure about that.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

Peace Sarah you say you "feel" I'm sure you know that how you "feel" is irrelevant. Do you know those individuals personally? They may be doing financially well but miserable with their lives. As the cliche' goes money can't buy happiness. Narcissists by nature cannot be satisfied. Sin is a bad path through life as it is counter to a positive outcome. Indeed a balance of personal well being along with financial satisfaction brings a good outcome.

            God bless peace

Bad guys never win... As you said it feels like they win but not in reality...

Material pleasure and spiritual pleasure are two things.. Does the material pleasure overtake spiritual/inner/natural pleasure? Noway... There is no pleasure if you don't have inner pleasure even the entire earthly material is right at your finger tips...

I would like to remind with an Arabic saying.. " Richest is not the one who has the MOST, but the richest is the one who needs the LEAST.. "

                  that really speaks the truth..
Good giys will never compare them with bad guys.. Coz their life style is different... They look for pleasure and truth and knowledge... Bad guys are after materials throughout the day.. They don't have a word in their life ENOUGH...

What you mean by winning? You mean wining in life.. So you reckon having collected materials is victory of life... Then there is no difference between bad guys and you literally... Find the true win or life.. It never lies in materials.. It just one of the needs of survival but not victory... Good guys who believes in God knows they are really happy in life or not .. Good guys always win coz victory of truth lies in good path..
Looking at others and compare us is the weakest a person can think of... Pleasure is within self not on others external look/luxury...
Every stage of life should definitely teach a good guy the meaning of life and how to navigate ..

Ok but I still disagree. Giving your money away to a foundation for example and then controlling the foundation is not as generous as it may seem initially. For example by doing so you can claim to have given your wealth away but still get to use your wealth in ways you desire. I have a question mark over how Bill Gates operates.

                      Peace,

796 And if only the people of the towns had believed and been aware, then We would have opened for them blessings from the heavens and the earth; but they denied, so We took them for what they had earned.

We are the creators of our lives, we attract things to us in accordance with our beliefs.
If we believe that Allah is rich, we can be rich too, we think and we do everything to achieve wealth.
Allah rewards each of us according to our beliefs and the means mobilized to achieve our goals.

938 And He found you in need, so He gave you riches?

Nothing falls from the sky, we must act with the firm intention to achieve it. We are supported every step of the way.

We must not think about what is missing in our lives, but focus our attention on what we want to create in our life.
what is the first step to do in order to achieve our goal ?

938 And He found you in need, so He gave you riches?

                      May Allah increase our knowledge.

How many billions does one need to live?
Or what does one need billions for then?

Say I have 10 billions and I give 5 billions to charity I will still have 5 billions so who will not be able to do that easily?

We should think twice before assuming one of the richest men in the world has our or anyone s best interests in mind.

Is it not morally wrong to have billions while one is aware that a lot of their fellow humans are hungry and homeless ?

Or may be because I do not have billions ,I am saying this?

Thank you Lord for not making me a billionaire,or even a millionaire.
I am happy with what my Lord has provided for me, and I will gladly share it .

Regardless of the amount, the fact is that he did not have to do this, but he did out of choice. Not all billionaires would want to readily give away more than 50% of their wealth with the same level of dedication.

4220 Whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter, We will increase for him his harvest. And whoever seeks the harvest of this world, We will give him therefrom, and he will have no share in the Hereafter.

The world runs on the backs of good people. This is hinted throughout the Book, albeit maybe not pronounced openly. Good people do not boast, they are not good liars, they do not talk loud, they are not good at PR, they do not erect statues or altars of themselves or monuments or giant buildings, so you cannot "see" them. This makes you think bad people are winning. This fact again makes it a trial (fitna). No, bad people are "winning" only what good people give or allow. He who dies with net liabilites is in hell. He who dies with net claims wins.

Yes, the richer you are, the better. Being a trillionaire is the best.

Wealth obtained through halal means does not harm others, on the contrary, it enriches others. And you will have fulfilled the sunnah of the prophets David and Solomon(In fact, almost all prophets were rich at one time).

The more rich and blessed you are, the more you can help humanity.

                                    Peace Emre.
Humanity does not need help from billionaires, those who have short changed them and monopolised the wealth . They need opportunities , fairness and a good system to protect them from "billionaires monopoly".
Look at what is happening to the world s economy and how people are helplessly paying over the top for their cost of living through the billionaires game/ agenda and cons!
Just reflect on what is a billion ? never mind 100 billions!
Do you think one can make that sort of money honestly in their life ?

"Karoon was one of Moses people, GOD indeed blessed him by making him rich!!!! Then opened the earth to swallow him for hoarding the wealth and lording it over his people.
So GOD s prophets were billionaires? I do not think the whole world together had one billion at that time and age,
If you think it is alright to have billions made honestly by anyone , you must be living in another planet.
May be we are reading two different Qorans brother .
The instructions and way to live in my Qoran will never allow for one to have billions for themselves . That is far too excessive and greedy
                                    GOD bless you.
                                    Peace.

It seems like bad/immoral people tend to win in life whether socially or professionally etc.
How has it been for you? Do you feel the same or not? Do you see good people winning in life?

No I do not feel or see the same way.
Because life is not about 'winning', life is about 'loving'.

Looking for happiness outside of you is definitely the wrong place to look for it.

Outside of you, you will always find.

                                      • Others who are richer than you
                                      • Others who are more respected than you
                                      • Others who are more powerful than you
                                      • Others who are smarter than you
                                      • Others who are more beautiful than you
                                        And worst of all..
                                      • Others who are happier than you

Happiness can only be found inside of you.
islam is an attitude and not a religion.
                                      Attitude of acceptance.
Apply the attitude and you will be happy, regardless of the circumstances.
Accept what you are, have and experiencing, appreciate it, be grateful.
And instantly you will be happy.

Eastern tradition repetitively advice people of 'having no attachment'.
Because everything in this universe are temporarily, all are nothing but illusions.

Similar to playing a "Virtual Reality Game", every elements inside the game are virtual.
The players initially think that to win the game is to be "the best" inside the game, to 'beat' and 'compete' with other players. But eventually they will find out that to win the game is to actually accept and let go of everything that happened inside the game. As only then they will be able to put off the VR goggle and exit the game.

No, on the contrary. Being a trillionaire in a halal way does not harm others, it benefits.

Of course, one can become a trillionaire in a halal way. The prophets David and Solomon were even more wealthy than today's trillionaires. They are the richest people of all time. Also, as I said, other prophets were also rich for a while, mostly.

The devil is trying to instill communist philosophy in people. To this end, he even introduced communism into the false Bible. Pagan spiritual teaching tries to make it seem like a bad thing to be rich.

Paganism tries to portray not only wealth, but also luxury and comfort as a bad thing. they are trying to adopt the evolutionist philosophy based on suffering and poverty.

Even the saying "you will have nothing and you will be happy" today is part of this perverse plan. They will also forbid meat-eating. Paganism is communist, suffering and vegan.

In reality, the richer you are, the better. You can help so many people. But of course you will be rich in halal way. Then even while making money, you will be useful to others.

                                        Peace

This is a false assumption about what Qoran says regarding David and Solomon, quote

"of course, one can become a trillionaire in a halal way. The prophets David and Solomon were even more wealthy than today's trillionaires. They are the richest people of all time. Also, as I said, other prophets were also rich for a while, mostly."

They were trying to use GOD s system , in their kingdom,of justice ,fairness and equal rights ,not selfish needs for themselves or monopolise all the wealth to their family and friends or hoard wealth and deprive the people from basic needs . They shared and divided the wealth to all the people

O David, we have made you a ruler on earth. Therefore, you shall judge among the people equitably, and do not follow your personal opinion and desires, lest it diverts you from the way of God. Surely, those who stray off the way of God incur severe retribution for forgetting the Day of Reckoning.

Knowing you are accountable to GOD makes a limit to your own wealth .you will be satisfied with what you need and you stay away from greed.
The wealth in the case of David and Solomon belonged to all the people in the kingdom .

God blessed Solomon with vast wealth and tested what he did for his people with it not himself. Solomon asked to have help from GOD so that he will be just.
We thus put Solomon to the test; we blessed him with vast material wealth, but he steadfastly submitted.*
                                          وَلَقَد فَتَنّا سُلَيمٰنَ وَأَلقَينا عَلىٰ كُرسِيِّهِ جَسَدًا ثُمَّ أَنابَ

Solomon feared lest he will be unjust and puts himself above his responsibilities

He said, "My Lord, forgive me, and grant me a kingship tailored for my capabilities (Under your system of submission to your rules ,not like what others do with kingship) . You are the Grantor."
                                          قالَ رَبِّ اغفِر لى وَهَب لى مُلكًا لا يَنبَغى لِأَحَدٍ مِن بَعدى إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الوَهّابُ

As for communism, they have billionaires too. What is the difference between all men s systems? They are all oppressive and unjust. Man is greedy and arrogant and justifies injustice. Or some call it halal theft
Either you do not get what I am saying or you do not get the difference between billions to be shared and billions for one or few individuals!!
Never mind though .Even our instinct tells us not to be greedy.
Having more than one needs takes us to greed territory if we do not give the surplus or use for others benefit/help/...

Look brother ,I am saying one may go to the limit of justifying they need few millions. But what does one need billions for themselves for?
Do not tell me they do this or that with it, in that case they do not need to have it for themselves. i.e they should have not got to that stage before they make use of the surplus beyond the few millions they had.
Still you do not get me?
                                          GOD bless you.
                                          Peace
