Muhammad not mentioned in the Koran...
-
Greetings All,
Can anyone tell me why Islam?s ?prophet? is not mentioned in their book of faith?..?
Thanks?
-
Greetings truth,
Thanks for your reply?
Could you perchance tell us where you found this information or why you believe it to be the case?
I want to see if Muslims think that the Koran mentions their prophet?
Care to oblige?.?
Thanks?

I think that you already realize that your prophet is not mentioned in your book of faith...
Am I correct....?

Apple Pie,
Your initial premise was "Muhammad not mentioned in the Koran..."
If you look at 3340 it has the word 'muhammad' so it IS mentioned in the Koran.
Now allow me to direct you to a self claimed expert on this matter. His name is Shareef Ahmad and you can find his website if you do a Google search for "the genuine-islam religion". It will be at the top of the list.
Email him your question and sign his guestbook too while you're there.
As for me, I have better things to do. It's Sunday... shouldn't you be at church?
Later.

Let?s look at your example?
kana muhammadun aba ahadin min rijalikum walakin rasoola Allahi wakhatama alnnabiyyeena wakana Allahu bikulli shay-in AAaleeman
33.40 Mohammad was not a father (to) anyone from your men, and but Allah's messenger, and the prophets' end/conclusion/final, and Allah was/is with every thing knowledgeable.
I find it most curious that the Arabic word translated as ?Mohammad? is never referred to as a ?prophet? in Lanes Lexicon.
Have any idea why this might be the case?.?
Thanks?

Peace Apple Pie,
U opened a thread claiming tht 'Muhammad is not mentioned in the Quran' but 'Muhammad' is mentioned in the Quran 4 times
MUHAMMAD was no more than a messenger like the messengers before him. Should he die or get killed, would you turn back on your heels? Anyone who turns back on his heels, does not hurt GOD in the least. GOD rewards those who are appreciative.
MUHAMMAD was not the father of any man among you. He was a messenger of GOD and the final prophet. GOD is fully aware of all things.
Those who believe and work righteousness, and believe in what was sent down to MUHAMMAD - which is the truth from their Lord - He remits their sins, and blesses them with contentment.
MUHAMMAD - the messenger of GOD - and those with him are harsh and stern against the disbelievers, but kind and compassionate amongst themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating, as they seek GOD's blessings and approval. Their marks are on their faces, because of prostrating. This is the same example as in the Torah. Their example in the Gospel is like plants that grow taller and stronger, and please the farmers. He thus enrages the disbelievers. GOD promises those among them who believe, and lead a righteous life, forgiveness and a great recompense.
So this statement of urs is clearly false. GOD Bless! -

Lane's Lexicon is not God's word.
Or do you think it is?

Excellent question, Apple Pie? Surprise, I'm baffled? roll
Who do YOU think/understand was/is the last prophet of GOD?
According to your own studies, who then was Muhammad?
Besides, if Quran is 99% copy-cat of Bible (which I sincerely doubt), what is Bible a copy-cat of? Talmud or Torah perhaps???Just curios to know your understandings of revelations that came down as reflections from time to time.

Greetings Danish,
Thanks for your reply?
Who do YOU think/understand was/is the last prophet of GOD?
The author of the Book of Revelation.
It is quite obvious that the authors who penned the Koranic text (as we know it today), also believed the same?
According to your own studies, who then was Muhammad?
A figure head.
Besides, if Quran is 99% copy-cat of Bible (which I sincerely doubt), what is Bible a copy-cat of? Talmud or Torah perhaps??? Just curios to know your understandings of revelations that came down as reflections from time to time.
First of all, yes, the Koran is indeed 99% rehashed and retranslated Biblical material.
This is unimpeachable.
Secondly, do you even understand what the Holy Bible is?.? Besides being the main source for the Koran?
Thanks for your questions?

Peace be upon you christian brother Apple Pie,
With all due respect, I would like to remind you that the Quran is supposed to be 'retranslated biblical material' which was updated by God. Once the latest edition is out, it makes sense that the latest edition would be similar to the previous edition, but updated. And the previous edition in question has actually lost quite a bit of it, in which there is no doubt, even top christian clergy would admit. If you would like to argue this, please provide us with the bible in the form it was revealed, and tell us which translations are false compared to that original master copy arrow Thanks.

Looks like we agree on the first part of your comment?however, the ?updated by God? part I would have to disagree with?

When will the ?latest edition? be out??
And the previous edition in question has actually lost quite a bit of it, in which there is no doubt, even top christian clergy would admit.
Fortunately, for the Muslim, the Koran never once states that the written word of God (i.e. the Holy Bible), to be in error in any way, shape, or form?
Furthermore, the authors of the Koran made it explicitly clear that they merely collected and copied previous Jewish and Christian scriptures?
If you would like to argue this, please provide us with the bible in the form it was revealed, and tell us which translations are false compared to that original master copy Thanks.
Again?.since the Koran has only praise for its source material, then the Holy Bible must be intact.
Thanks?

Well, in fact I think he is, and the Qur'an says this. But don't try to dodge the issue.
Now back to my original question. Do you think that Lane's Lexicon is God's word?

No.
Neither is the Koran.
