Muhammad not mentioned in the Koran...
-
Peace Apple Pie
Fortunately, for the Muslim, the Koran never once states that the written word of God (i.e. the Holy Bible), to be in error in any way, shape, or form?
5119
And God will Say "O Jesus son of Mary, did you tell the people to take you and your mother as gods instead of God?" He said "Be you glorified, I cannot say what I have no right of. If I had said it then You know it, You know what is in my soul while I do not know what is in Your soul. You are the Knower of the unseen. -
Peace,
Who here is certain that muhammad is a proper noun and can offer sound proof and not a conjugation of H-M-D? Ahmad (aqtal), Muhammad have the same root. Isa is saying "his designation will be more appreciated" and "the appreciated one is not the father of any of your men..."?

Salaam all,
I've read enough crap!! The Bible has like a million and one contradictions in it. How can it be The Word of GOD??!!
I have Two questions that I'd like to ask you Apple Pie.
Question One Does The Bible contain what is called a Falsification Test? Is there anything in the Bible that would prove you are wrong if I could prove to you that it exists....anything?
Let me answer that question for you my friend. The answer is clearly NO!!! The Bible does not present any inner mechanism that will allow others to find falsehood in it and prove the Bible wrong. However, The Quran Does!!
It's in Chapter 4, verse 82
Do they not consider The Quran? Had it been from any other than GOD, they would have found in it MUCH DISCREPENCY.
Discrepency...meaning any contradictions and/or errors. Not to mention obvious lies and untruths.
So any word of GOD (even an Inspired word of GOD) cannot and should not contain ANY errors OR contradictions!!
If you can point out any contradictions in The Quran, please bring them forth. I am bringing forth some contradictions that are clearly in The Bible.
Any references you see where there is the emoticon with sunglasses on, that's is the number eight. example....if you see something that says (John 1, you know that it is John, Chapter one, verse eight.*Who incited David to count the fighting men of Israel. GOD or Satan?
GOD did (2 samuel 241)
Satan did (I Chronicles 2 11) How on earth can The Word of GOD confuse Satan with the Author of The Word of GOD??!!*GOD sent His prophet to threaten David with how many years of famine?
Seven (2 Samuel 2413)
Three (I Chronicles 2112)*When did David bring the ark of the convenant to Jerusalem? Before defeating the Philistines or After defeating them?
After (2 Samuel 5 and 6)
Before (I Chronicles 13 and 14)*How may pairs of clean animals did GOD tell Noah to take into the Ark?
Two (Genesis 619, 20)
Seven (72). However, despite this clear instruction from GOD, only two pairs went into the ark (Genesis 78-9)*Ezra 264 and Nehemiah 766 agree that the total number of the whole assembly was 42,360. Yet the numbers do not add up to anything close. The totals obtained from each book is as follows
29,818 (Ezra)
31,089 (Nehemiah)*Did Joshua and the Israelites capture Jerusalem?
Yes (Joshua 1023, 40)
No (Joshua 1563) Hhhmmm....two contradictions in the same book. Very intriguing.*Jesus decended from which son of David?
Solomon (Matthew 16)
Nathan (Luke 331)*Was John the Baptist Elijah who was to come?
Yes (Matthew II 14, 1710-13)
No (John 119-21)*How did Simon Peter find out that Jesus was the Christ?
By a revelation from Heaven (Matthew 1617)
His brother Andrew told him (John 141)*Where did Jesus first meet Simon Peter and Andrew?
By the sea of Galilee (Matthew 418-22)
On the banks of river Jordan (John 142). AFTER THAT, Jesus decided to go to Galilee (John 143)*Did Jesus allow his disciples to keep a staff on their journey?
Yes (Mark 6
No (Matthew 109, Luke 93)Here's a really challenging one for you
*According to the Gospel of John, what did Jesus say about bearing his own witness?"If I bear witness to myself, my testimony Is Not true." (John 531)
"Even if I do bear witness to myself, my testimony IS true." (John 814) I can't wait to see your response to this one as well as the next one.....*Did Jesus bear his own cross?
Yes (John 1917)
No (Matthew 2731-32)How about this one......
*Did Jesus say anything secretly? No. "I have said nothing secretly." (John 1820)
Yes. "He did not speak to them without a parable, but privately to his own disciples he explained everything" (Mark 434). The disciples asked him "Why do you speak to them in parables?" He said, "To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given." (Matthew 13 10-11)
*Where was Jesus at the Sixth Hour on the Day of the crucifixion?
On the cross (Mark 1523)
In Pilate's Court (John 1914)*How did Judas die?
After he threw the money into the temple he went away amd hanged himself (Matthew 275)
After he bought the field with the price of his evil deed he fell headlong and burst open in the middle and all his bowels gushed out (Acts 11
*Why is the Field called "Field of Blood"?
Because the priests bought it with the blood money (Matthew 27
Because of the bloody death of Judas therein (Acts 119)*Is the law of Moses useful?
Yes. "All scripture is...profitable..." (2 Timothy 316)
No. "...A former commandment is set aside because of its weakness and uselessness..." (Hebrews 71*Jesus saw a man sitat the tax collector's office and called him to be his disciple. What was his name?
Matthew (Matthew 99)
Levi (Mark 214; Luke 527)*Did Jesus pray to the heavenly father to prevent the crucifixion?
Yes (Matthew 2639; Mark 1436; Luke 2242)
No (John 1227)*Adam was told that if and when he eats the forbidden fruit he would die the same day (Genesis 217)
However, Adam ate the fruit and went on to live to a ripe old age of 930 years (Genesis 55)
*What was the purpose for which the women went to Jesus' tomb?
To anoint Jesus' body with spices (Mark 161; Luke 2355 to 241)
To see the tomb. Nothing about spices mentioned here (Matthew 281)
For no specified reason. In this gospel the wrapping with spices has been done before the Sabbath (John 201)ApplePie, there are literally thousands of very obvious contradictions and errors in the Bible. This list is just a small smidgen of what has been uncovered. I can list almost a thousand more errors and contradictions. I ask if you can disprove these findings. I also ask if you can find any such contradictions and errors in The Quran as I have in the Bible.
I told you that I had Two questions that I'd like to ask you. I asked the first one, and I said that the answer is "NO"! There is no self falsification test in the Bible. But there is one in the Quran....it's 482
Now on to my second question....please read the following passages from the Bible
*Does every man sin?
Yes. "There is no man who does not sin." (I Kings 846; see also 2 Chronicles 636; Proverbs 209; Ecclesiastes 720; and I John 18-10)
"If we say we have no sin we decieve ourselves, and the truth is not in us." (I John 1
No. True Christians cannot possibly sin, because they are the children of GOD. "Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God. (I John 51)
"No one born of God commits sin; for God's nature abides in him, and he cannot sin because he is born of God." (I John 39)
My second question is which one of these statements is the correct one?? They both cannot be correct....they are in 100% total contradiction of each other. So which one is true and which one is false?
I eagerly await your response.
Cheers. )

Let?s review your assertion?
Afala yatadabbaroona alqur-ana walaw kana min AAindi ghayri Allahi lawajadoo feehi ikhtilafan katheeran
4.82 So do they not consider The Koran, and if (it) were from at other than Allah, they would have found in it much difference/disagreement.
The authors of the Koran are telling us to ?consider? the ?alqur-ana??
Ok?.let?s consider it?
= ?alqur-ana?
?alqur-ana? definition
Originally meaning the Collection; ?I collected together the thing? or ?I read, or recited, the book or scripture?; and then conventionally applied to signify the Book of God that was revealed to Mohammad; it also signifies the revelation, meaning that which is termed the mighty, or imitable which is read, or recited, and written in books or volumes. A name for the Book of God, like the book of the Law revealed to Moses and the Gospel.
is so called because it has collected the histories of the prophets, and commands and prohibitions, and promises and threats, and the verses or signs, and the chapters.
It comes from the root ?qara?a?, which has the primary signification he collected together the thing; put it, or drew it, together; part to part, or portion to portion. He read, or recited, the scripture chanting; he read or recited anything in any manner, without, or from, or in a book.

The Dictionary of the Holy Qur?an, 1st edition, Abdul Mannan Omar, pp. 448 - 449Let?s also consider the Book ?alkitabu? that this sura references in the double digits?
Let?s review the definition for ?the Book??.
= ?alkitabu?
?alkitabu? definition
Lane references sura 22 in his definition
Thalika alkitabu la rayba feehi hudan lilmuttaqeena
That The Book no doubt/suspicion in it, (it is) guidance to the fearing and obeying. (22)
?That is the book, or scripture?; as though combining in itself the excellences of all other books or scriptures; or meaning that is preeminently the book, or scripture. The Pentateuch or Mosaic Law; and the Gospel, or Book of the Gospels; the Scriptures of the Jews and Christians. Divine prescript, appointment, or ordinance; judgment, or sentence; fatal decree or predestination.
References
An Arabic-English Lexicon, E.W. Lane, volume one, p. 74; volume seven, p. 2590Thus, as we can clearly see for ourselves, the Koran is not ?original? at all. It is merely a ?Collection? of previous scriptures (Mainly OT and NT Gospels), that have been collected and pulled together in an attempt to imitate the Holy Bible.
The authors who penned the Koranic text went to great lengths in acknowledging as truth, their Biblical origins.
Thus?.it is painfully clear that the Koran is no more than a collection of mainly Biblical material that has been translated from Biblical Hebrew & Greek into Arabic?
Truth be told, your Koranic ?falsification test? is putting forth its Jewish and Christian source material!
Perhaps you may want to rethink your initial claim?

Greetings Apple Pie,
Well, to begin with I have studied Lugatul 'Arabiyya for well over four years now. I read the quran in 'Arabic so believe me when I tell you that I have no need for you to give me an Arabic lesson.
Second of all,
I've read your post and I've noticed something......you have not addressed any of the questions and issues that I have raised in my post to you. Why is that??It's obvious that you cannot explain these clear contradictions in your book. It is equally as obvious that you cannot bring forth contradictions and errors from The Quran. So I'll make it much, much easier for you.....
I only request that you answer the second question that I asked you in my post, if you would be so kind to do so. I'll repost it for you......
*Does every man sin?
Yes. "There is no man who does not sin." (I Kings 846; see also 2 Chronicles 636; Proverbs 209; Ecclesiastes 720; and I John 18-10)

"No one born of God commits sin; for God's nature abides in him, and he cannot sin because he is born of God." (I John 39)

The authors of the Koran are telling us to consider the alqur-ana
Ok.lets consider it
Nice try Applepie. It is unambigously clear that 482 of the Quran is both an invitation and a challenge to mankind to bring forth any discrepency, errors or falsehood in it.
The challenge has nothing to do with the subject matter that you are trying to disract me with.I hope you will be courteous enough to respond to my question.
Truth be told, your Koranic falsification test is putting forth its Jewish and Christian source material!
Well you should be able to explain away the biblical contradictions that I posted and you should be able to point out the same errors and contradictions in the quran.
Perhaps you may want to rethink your initial claim
Perhaps you may want to to stick to the topic under discussion and answer my challenge instead of trying these sidetracking tactics.
GOD Alone,
Damon. -
Salam Damon,
How are you?
Here is a most diabolical biblical contradiction
1Co 1437 If any man thinketh himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him take knowledge of the things which I write unto you, that they are the commandment of the Lord.
versus
1Co 725 Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord but I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be trustworthy.
1Co 712 But to the rest say I, not the Lord...
1Co 49 For, I think, God hath set forth us the apostles last of all, as men doomed to death for we are made a spectacle unto the world, both to angels and men.
1Co 726 I think therefore that this is good ....
1Co 740 ...and I think that I also have the Spirit of God.
1Co 717 Nevertheless, everyone should live the life that the Lord gave him and to which God called him. This is my rule in all the churches.
First Paul says that what he writes are commandments of the Lord.
But sometimes, he writes something not from God, and not sure if it is from God..'I think" and thinks of HIS OWN RULE.
Paul is a liar.

Greetings Apple Pie,
Well, to begin with I have studied Lugatul 'Arabiyya for well over four years now. I read the quran in 'Arabic so believe me when I tell you that I have no need for you to give me an Arabic lesson.
Great?then you have to agree that what I posted is indeed entirely accurate?
I can see that you did not challenge what I stated in any fashion whatsoever.

Well?you said that you read your book of faith in the Arabic?.So exactly how could you have missed that it is referencing the Jewish and Christian scriptures that it has collected??
Perhaps you just read it, but did not bother to study it.
The challenge has nothing to do with the subject matter that you are trying to disract me with.
Actually, it refers entirely to the Jewish and Christian scriptures from which it borrows itself from.
Thus?.you cannot even get your redd herring off the ground if you are unsure of its very premise?

Since this thread deals with Muhammad not being mentioned in the Koran?perhaps you could be so gracious as to start a dedicated thread with your insecurities? wink
That way, you will be able to work on better understanding the very premise of your assertion.
Take care?

Peace people,
Salam Damon,
How are you?
Salaam Brother Tony. I'm doing good, how are you?? I am always delighted to hear from you bro. Those were very good contradictions you have posted. I'm sure we can forget about our friend Apple Pie refuting them. He's already demonstrated that he is proficient in what I call the Christian Shuffle.
Greatthen you have to agree that what I posted is indeed entirely accurate
I will get to that shortly. Instead of answering my questions and challenges and post other questions that are irrelevent to the topic. Very well, I'll play this game with you. After I answer your question (even though I asked mine first and you still haven't addressed it) I hope you will be courteous enough to answer mine. fair enough?
I can see that you did not challenge what I stated in any fashion whatsoever.
Actually, it is YOU who is on the run. I made a challenge to you first and you have made no attempts whatsoever to meet it. Instead, you divert the topic with subject matter that has nothing to do with what I had approached you with first. Standard runaway tactic. I've been down this road plenty of times.
Wellyou said that you read your book of faith in the Arabic. So exactly how could you have missed that it is referencing the Jewish and Christian scriptures that it has collected?
Where in my posts have I ever denied reference to earlier scripture? You missed the point entirely and I'll have to give you a general orientation.
Perhaps you just read it, but did not bother to study it.
This is where you show that you do not know what you are talking about. I study the quran constantly, on a continuous basis. I am a student of the quran and of life. They confirm each other so I learn something new everyday.
Since this thread deals with Muhammad not being mentioned in the Koranperhaps you could be so gracious as to start a dedicated thread with your insecurities wink
Sure, that's easy enough. First, I'll address your bible knock-off theory and then I can start a different thread in the christianity forum in order to finish this discussion.
Now please pay close attention to this post because this is a subject Most Christians are definately confused about. Now, There is only ONE GOD. This One GOD has mandated one specific code of life that we as His subjects must live by. To make us aware of the rules and edicts of this system/code, He has revealed Scripture to different Prophets and Messengers throughout time and in differing locales mainly in the region we now call the Middle East.
Obviously, since there is only one GOD with One Universal Message for humanity, any and all scriptures revealed by HIm would contain one and the same message. We have THREE main scriptures that are the focus of most religious discussions......We have
1). The OLD TESTAMENT (which we muslims and the Jews refer to as The Torah).
2). The NEW TESTAMENT (Which we muslims believe is the original Gospels spoken and taught by The Messiah Jesus and which we call Injeel).
3). And we also have THE FINAL TESTAMENT (The Quran). Something else that is considered a part of earlier scripture is known in the Biblical community as The Psalms of David. In arabic, they are refered to as Az-Zaboor.
I am more than WILLING and ABLE to post a gang of evidence and research that has been done to show the myriad tampering, adding, deleting, and changing of the Bible over the years and the arbitrary obscuratism that has accompanied these changes in the bible. Logically, due to man's tampering with GOD's Word and also since GOD wants us to know what He expects of us, He is going to reveal The Truth at some point in order to do away with the wrong that has been done with earlier scripture, thus The Quran to reveal that which is true and correct of earlier scripture, and that which is incorrect of earlier scripture. In this regard, one of the attributes of The Quran is Al-Furqaan (The Criterion) That which judges the correct and the incorrect passages that we read in earlier scripture.
Naturally, this Final Testament has to be protected and preserved until Judgement Day in order to prevent the same wrong that was done with earlier scripture to be done with this final scripture.
Say what you want and believe what you will, but I promise you that I can post all the evidence that's available concerning the journey through the hands of men that the Bible has been through over the course of time and the reasons behind them.
Now for the important part. It is a 100% known fact all over the entire world that The Quran has been the same since its inception over 1,400 years ago!!! This is not a baseless claim. The earliest manuscripts in existence are available for viewing in Turkey, Uzbekistan and the most recent one found in Yemen some years back. The only thing you can do is to choose to not believe that The Quran is the word of GOD. But you absolutely cannot refute the fact that it has been kept intact for more than 1,400 years. This is a luxury that the Bible simply cannot boast. This is fact!!! Tony and I have proven this when we posted all of those contradictory errors that exist in The Bible. Those contradictions and errors can only exist due to the fallibility of those men who dipped their hand in what we call the bible today.
GOD is infallible and if He promises to protect something then it is up to us to examine The Quran to see if we can detect the same errors and flaws in it that we find in The Bible. If it's from GOD, its' protected and error free. If it's not from GOD, it will be full of errors and discrepencies just like the Bible. The Quran Itself invites and challenges mankind to find such errors and to refute The Qurans own claim that it is from GOD and that it is error free. This is what I have been driving at since my first post in this thread. Only one of these Books (The Bible or The Quran) can be the absolute word of GOD and the way to find out for sure is to examine and scrutinize both books and point out whatever obvious flaws and man-made errors we find in them. You Still have not done so. You can scream and holler all you want, but until you produce your evidence that is all you can do...scream and holler.
So as for your claim that The Quran is plagiarized from The Bible, if you even bother to read The Quran, you will notice that GOD speaks all throughout The Quran of earlier scripture and the fact that He revealed earlier scripture to the earlier prophets and messengers. But He also speaks very, very heavily of the tampering and wrong that has been done to earlier scripture which is all too easy to prove and see for yourself. I myself have posted errors and contradictions that exist in The Bible.
I cannot see the Bible as the absolute word of GOD. It is more like a Pornography book than anything else. You have stories of PROPHETS having sex and fornicating with their own daughters, sons of prophets getting aroused by looking at their naked drunk father, stories of incest and rape, etc. On top of that, the idolatry that is known as the sacrfice of Jesus.
This is only the beginning.........I'll see you in the christianity forum. wink
GOD Alone/Quran Alone,

I like how you refer to your book of faith as a ?Bible knock-off??
3). And we also have THE FINAL TESTAMENT (The Quran). Something else that is considered a part of earlier scripture is known in the Biblical community as The Psalms of David. In arabic, they are refered to as Az-Zaboor.
I?m curious?..could you please bring forth the classical definition which states the as being the ?final testament??.?

Unfortunately?for the na?ve Muslim?this is a patently false myth?
There are no ?original? Korans in existence anywhere in the world.
The oldest copies of the Koran are mere FRAGMENTS that are dated to a century after the life and times of their ?prophet??
Please feel free to ?google? Islamic Awareness for confirmation on this?if you are in doubt?
However...again...this is not the theme of this thread...
Thanks?

Okay ApplePie,
I've went along with your diversionary tactics long enough. I answered your question for you. If you do not accept my answer to be the truth, that's fine and well with me. I gave you a reply whether you accept it or not. Now please do the courteous and brave thing and answer my one question that I asked if you would be kind enough to answer. As far as all the other questions you just asked in your latest post, I would be more than happy to answer each and every one of them. However, I ask that you answer my question, because it was asked of you before you asked yours.
One last thing....
If its so easy, then why have you not already addressed the theme of this thread?
Because it was already answered for you by others in this thread. What would be the point in repeating the same answer you were already given? You will find the name and title Muhammad mentioned in four seperate chapters of the quran. You were already told this.
Now Mr. ApplePie, I'll be waiting for your response to my question regarding everyman being sinners.
Thanx in advance,
Damon. -

930 The Jews said, "Ezra is the son of God," while the Christians said, "Jesus is the son of God!" These are blashpemies uttered by their mouths. They thus match the blasphemies of those who have disbelieved in the past. God condemns them. They have surely deviated.
931 They have set up their religious leaders and scholars as lords instead of God. Other deified the Messiah, son of Mary. They were all commanded to worship only one god. There is no god except He. Be He glorified, high above having any partners.

Salaam,
Could you also provide a single solitary Koranic ayah which states that the written word of God (i.e. the holy Bible) to be in error in any way, shape, or fashion?
Do you expect them to believe as you do, when some of them used to hear the WORD of GOD, then DISTORT IT, with full understanding thereof, and deliberately?
And when they meet the believers, they say, "We believe," but when they get together with each other, they say, "Do not inform (the believers) of the information given to you by GOD, lest you provide them with support for their argument concerning your Lord. Do you understand?"
Do they not know that GOD knows everything they conceal, and everything they declare?
Among them are gentiles who do not know the ecripture, except through hearsay, then assume that they know it.
Therefore, woe to those who distort the scripture with THEIR OWN HANDS, then say "This is what GOD has revealed," seeking a cheap material gain. Woe to them for such distortion, and woe to them for their illicit gains.
Among them are those who TWIST their tongues to imitate the scripture, that you may think it is from scripture, when it is NOT from the scripture, and they claim it is from GOD, when it is NOT from GOD. Thus, they utter LIES and attribute them to GOD, knowingly.
Those who conceal GOD's revelations in scripture, in exchange for a cheap material gain, eat but fire into their bellies. GOD will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them. They have incurred a painful retribution.
It is painfully obvious that our Christian friend judges something that he hasn't read himself. The condemnation of this earlier practice is all throughout the quran.
Peace,
Damon.

While these two ayahs have absolutely nothing to do with ?invalidating? the written word of God (the Holy Bible), they do uncover a truth that all Muslims need to look at more closely?
Waqalati alyahoodu AAuzayrun ibnu Allahi waqalati alnnasara almaseehu ibnu Allahi thalika qawluhum bi-afwahihim yudahi-oona qawla allatheena kafaroo min qablu qatalahumu Allahu anna yu/fakoona
9.30 And the Jews said "Ezra (is) Allah's son", and the Christians, said "The Messiah (is) Allah's son." That (is) their saying/word/opinion and belief with their mouths, they equal/resemble (the) saying/word/opinion and belief (of) those who disbelieved from before, Allah fought/killed them, how (do) they be lied to/be turned away?
Ittakhathoo ahbarahum waruhbanahum arbaban min dooni Allahi waalmaseeha ibna maryama wama omiroo illa liyaAAbudoo ilahan wahidan la ilaha illa huwa subhanahu AAamma yushrikoona
9.31 They took their religious scholars and their monks (as) lords from other than Allah and the Messiah, Mary's Son, and they were not ordered/commanded except to worship one Allah, no Allah except He, His praise/glory from what they share/make partners.
Summary
- AND ?wa? And the Jews said "Ezra (is) Allah's son",
- AND ?wa? the Christians, said "The Messiah (is) Allah's son."
- That (is) their saying/word/opinion
- AND ?wa? belief with their mouths, they equal/resemble (the) saying/word/opinion
- AND ?wa? belief (of) those who disbelieved from before, Allah fought/killed them, how (do) they be lied to/be turned away? They took their religious scholars
- AND ?wa? their monks (as) lords from other than Allah
- AND ?wa? the Messiah, Mary's Son,
8 ) AND ?wa? they were not ordered/commanded except to worship one Allah, no Allah except He, His praise/glory from what they share/make partners.
It is clear from these ayahs that Jesus is considered to be deity, as all who take ?religious scholars and monks as lords from other than allah AND the Messiah (Jesus)?, are considered to be the disbelievers.
The authors of the Koran are putting Jesus on the same level as the allah of the Koran.
Jesus is God.

Please be so kind as to show us the Arabic word or words that you want to force-fit to mean ?distorted WRITTEN words of the Jewish and Christian scriptures? ?

Care to try again?.?

Greetings ApplePie,
Care to try again.?
No need to....the evidence is clear for you to see and your inquiry has been answered for you.
You're pretending to establish a line between written and oral when the very clear fact remains that it says earlier scripture was distorted...period!! You're trying to establish a case that earlier scripture was only orally distorted ??? I can see right through tactic. The only way to truly distort something is to make said changes to the document itself. You cannot "orally" distort something.
If you wrote an autobiography, I can't distort it by telling others false information about it. I can only distort if I am able to distort the book itself. That's the only way my plans for distortion and spreading of false info can take effect. I cannot orally distort it if the book itself is available in it's original publication.
Believe it or not, I know exactly what I'm dealing with when it comes to you and your tactics here. I've been down this road plenty of times with others who practice the same tactics.
