    Peace all,

I tried this once but it didn't catch on. Thought I'd give it another shot as a positive reinforcer

My vote for today is by mquran

I speak for al-quraan when I say that it relies upon a system of verification of its information based upon signs. One who enters its process is thus taken through an 'observation' ride which instills in him an ever-increasing sense of belief of al-quraan's assertions.

    Beautiful!

    Peace,
    Tay

To me, this life is designed for priming the self for the next life. How we handle our adversities and blessings dictates what we will evolve into. It is that simple.

Look around you and empirically verify the right path by comparing it to
the path of the stayers (16-7). You will see that the people who think
              that they have the original/first/ultimate
meaning/understanding/interpretation have stopped trying to get closer
to the truth. They are misguided and not progressing. If you or I
thought that we had the original/first/ultimate
meaning/understanding/interpretation, then we wouldn't be here today. It
is only those who are firmly grounded in reality that know that what we
know is far less than what we don't know. This is true about all of The
God's signs in the universe and not just in the great reading.

                          Salaam,

Why does Allah ask us again and again to witness nature, to witness the universe, the heavens, the mountains, the rain? Why would you say these queries are posed? My opinion Because the deeper you dig, the more similarity you will find, and the closer you will get to the only possible solution - that something far greater than we can imagine created something so infinitely complex via such a simple, beautiful recipe. This requires no leap of faith. It simply requires unadulterated perception.

why would God give us a book that doesn't make sense to us unless we FIRST believe it is from God?

I believe that each "story" in the quran has a very historically factual dimension that concludes with a moral lesson for us but also can have an element of an allegory to parallel a very deep and spiritual meaning, beyond the simple story-line (oppressor = Pharoah , minority opressed believers = bani israel). In God's Infinite Wisdom He was able to allow for layers upon layers of meaning in His message.

Thoghts are the seeds of actions. We must make the effort to weed our "garden" of bad seeds and plant and cultivate good seeds.
