as you say - the Israelis have been there for generations now also, and there is no way to escape that reality - and there is no point in looking at the past and wanting to remove all israelis from the land- that is a futile exercise. Those who know no other home have just as much right to call it home as a palestinian. My issue however is more with the gross injustice that goes on in the name of a Jewish State. I do not deny that jewish people have had a terrible time and history testifies to this... but to go out there and commit the same crimes to another people - knowing their own jewish history - is to me detestable. To punish the palestinians for existing on the land they want so badly to call their own is not the way forward. I do feel for israeli citizens also, but it does not mean i will be willing to stay silent while these atrocities go on.
Another thing is that any jewish person in the world can go emmigrate to israel and be granted full citizenship- while someone of palestinian descent has no chance... it is unfair.If the jewish people want a jewish state it should not be built on the shattered lives of another people... and i dont know how they can dig themselves out of this one which just adds to the tragedy.
Yes Noam Chomsky, Ilan Pappe, Juliano Mer Khemis - there is a wealth of Israelis who are now speaking out and I applaude them. it cant be easy given the way israeli society is.... and now the refusenik movement is growing also which is also very noble!
I have never heard of the Jews and Arabs for Peace.... is it a national thing or just london based do you know? what sort of work do they do?
hehehe and you ask if you are strange for not having a visceral attatchment to land - i believe home is where the heart is not a piece of land - and i think thats a big part of the israeli palestinian problem - home is palestine or israel - where your friends, family, loved ones, cherished memories all are - so to emigrate and leave all that behind is not an easy choice to make.... it is not just an attachment to land - for palestinians it is home - for israelis it is home - for jewish immigrants it is the dream of a home - for palestinian refugees it is the memory of a home......

I pity your South-Asian stupidity. You might as well argue that Nazi Germany was a blessing for Europe especially given the fact that the other European countries were to poor and backward to contribute anything of value and even America too. To justify Israels existance based on its useless technology(Most of it from scientists that grew up in the West and not in Israel but were brought to Israel due to their right to 'return' is like justifying the crimes of Nazi-Germany letalone its existance based on its own technology. Denmark for example could not contribute anything of value and was backward and too moronic country. Britain? The same garbage. Especially the aftermath of WW2 were almost all Europeans were living on American welfare. The Danish for example enjoyed Nazi occupation more than they enjoyed their own garbage Danish leaders because the Germans brought in technology into the 'country'. You obviously come from a third-world country so I don't think you have the right to justify the ethnic-cleansing by Israel. Indeed- Europeans and South-Asians are very good at justifying the existance of Israel while they come from countries.. well let's not even mention it. Point is? They are hypocritical and can not be taken seriously especially their stupidity regarding the military of Israel. Saudi-Arabia has enough oil to annilihate Israel over and over.
Due to your arguments being too primitive for me I have decided not to respond to any of them as they are a waiste of time. I will give you some tips though. Firstly the Arab countries have enough manpower to destroy Israel and one Arab country can already do that. The fact that the Arab countries never won was because of Arab leaders that were trying to overthrow each other as one wanted Republicanism and other wanted monarchy. Tribalism and greed is the main cause of this. If I was the leader of the Arab world I can assure you I'd have done a much better job. No more Islamists/ISIS, no more Zionists and no other religious nutjobs. Only Arab countries for their own citizens regardless of gender, religion and nationality. No more European stupidity either. All contracts with the West would have been cancelled under me while I'd absorb the Arab Americans into my nation. And most importantly religion would not be allowed to take over the constitution of the country. If religious people and Westerners do not like it then they are free to screw off anytime. Nobody cares.
Today instead of the billions of dollars flowing to Palestinian, Iraqi and Syrian people it flows to religion, religious ideologies/religious extremism, Europe and South-Asia.

Not the Jewish people but the European Jews. They were getting killed by their own brethren. Some Jews are Europeans others are Arabs etc. They are not the same. The Arab Jews were very happy to live in the Arab countries infact the Arab Muslims have always been the ones who are liberating Jews(They lifted the bann twice) meanwhile Europeans especially under Christianity were known for slaughtering both Jews and Muslims hence the Crusaders. Some European Jews even collabrated with the Nazis and killed their own European Jewish brethren(See http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CategoryJewish_Nazi_collaborators). Why does no 'civilized' European/Westerner mention that? Too afraid of history? Ahh but let's forget those EUROPEAN Jews, let's blame the Palestinians just because one Palestinian(i.e Haj Amin al-Husseini who probaly did it because of the occupation of Palestine by the British empire- 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend' played a huge roll) supported Nazis. One could argue that if Britain never colonized Palestine then some Palestinians wouldn't make deals with Hitler. It's a fact that Britain is the reason to why some Palestinians decided to take help from its enemies as British regime was oppressing Palestinians especially nationalists that wanted independance.
The Jews aren't exactly a 'people' they are adherents of Judaism. They don't have a common culture, language and traditions. Some are Europeans others are Arabs and all these people carry the culture of their own homelands. It's European propaganda ment to justify the existance of Israel that Jews are somehow an ethnicity.
Jew isn't equivalent to Arab and never will be either.

If the European Jews want a homeland then they should build it in Europe. My grandfather was a Palestinian Jew(Not a European Immigrant) and I'm sick of these European Jews letalone their 'Muslims' that are equally as moronic. Palestine belongs to all Palestinians regardless of religion. The Palestinian Arabs revolted several times meaning that Palestine was going to become an independant nation but thanks to the European Jewish cannonfodder that was never possible. Palestine was colonized by Britain which forced a mass-Immigration of European Jews into Palestine which it could then use to recruit in its armies to later on send them to Europe against the Nazis to die as cannonfodder or to its own colonies to take down rebellions.
The fact that European Jews were slaughtered by their own brethren(Both were EUropeans) should be blamed on the Europeans themselves and the European Jews should have a right to build their own country in Europe.
Many Europeans oppose a mass-Immigration from Asia but they enjoy supporting a mass-Immigration of European Jews into Palestine. Their hypocrisy is obvious. They also enjoy justifying existance of Israel and they use the same arguments that can be used for Nazi-Germany's existance. Why am I not suprised? This is what I call European stupidity.
